World Record OJ Glass: Guinness World Record - Florida Orange Juice at Rose Festival Portland, OR

Phil Cassidy and Rob Greenlee from Tropicana attempt to set a Guinness World Record with a 750-gallon glass of orange juice at Portland's Rose Festival. The juice stays chilled at 35°F through a circulation system, and the stunt promotes drinking OJ to fight cancer as part of a March of Dimes campaign.

Very safe. Phil Cassidy is live at the Rose Festival Fun Center. You got the world's largest glass of OJ there? Yeah, that's right. We're gonna start with the world's smallest glass of OJ first, Kathy Smith. Check this out. This is a small glass, but look at this. This is the huge glass of orange juice from the Florida citrus people, the people from Tropicana, and this is Rob Greenlee. And Rob, tell us, you got a little message here with this big glass of OJ, don't you?
Yeah, our message is to drink more orange juice to fight cancer. If you drink a little glass, drink a bigger glass to fight cancer more. And it's part of our bigger message, March of Dimes fighting cancer.
You're gonna set a record here, aren't you? Guinness World Record? Yes, we're gonna fill it to about 750 gallons, which will set a Guinness Book of World Records. And it is good. Now you gotta sort of keep this stuff filtered. Here's a filter over here.
Tell us about this. Look at this thing right over here. The orange juice cycles through the glass through a bottom drain, and it comes around through the refrigeration. It keeps the orange juice held at about 35 degrees. It's like OJ dialysis, huh? Exactly. Just circulates through through the glass.
But you know what, I'm noticing a little pulp kind of settling on the bottom here. Do you mind if I just grab my scuba gear and I'm just gonna— no, people have to drink that. You know, I'm sensing a little pulp friction here. Sorry, Kathy Smith, we're gonna go all over the Rose Festival Fun Center today. And you know, because a day without sunshine, well, basically it's a week at the Fun Center. Kathy Smith, back to you.
Friction, that was good. Sorry, I can't wait to see the, uh, cinnamon bun that goes with that orange juice. Thanks very much.
About the food, I'm all about the drink here, Kathy.
Thanks Thank you so much.
