A short testimonial-style excerpt (single speaker, Jodie Lopez) describing perceived benefits of an AI tutoring system for schools. Lopez argues the system offers budget-friendly supplementary support where one-to-one human tutors are unaffordable or unavailable (e.g., rural schools), is less intimidating for some struggling students, consistently provides encouraging, non-judgmental guidance, and can guide learners through visuals and on-screen tasks to build confidence.

So I think this is a system that's got great benefits for a school. From a budget point of view, the teacher is still in control of what each child's learning and it's just that extra help, it's that extra support that you might not be able to afford from a one to one tutor coming into school, you might not have the logistics, you might be a rural school and you find it really difficult to find local tutors who are reliable. So I think it's going to serve a real purpose for schools where they don't have the other options of that one to one human. And also, as I said before, for some children, I think this is a lot less intimidating. So if those children who are really kind of struggling but they don't want to admit they're struggling, who, you know, need that little bit extra, a little bit of confidence, but maybe don't feel that they want to sit down with a tutor for any number of reasons, I think the AI tutor gives something really different there from a cost perspective and from that kind of less intimidating AI delivering rather than a human. You know, the AI is not going to ever get disappointed. Say, I have been trained to be encouraging, to be motivating, to be positive. So it's not going to be somebody that you're going to disappoint. And so I think for some children there might be that element of feeling safe with the AI and not feeling that they're going to let anybody down or do anything wrong because it will just keep guiding through, it will just keep ensuring that. Okay, have you looked at this? Have you checked this? Have you looked at this? It's referring to the visuals as well as the conversation. You don't have to talk lots. So if their child doesn't want to speak a lot, you can just do things on screen, but the tutor will guide through and talk as you're doing that. So it just gives that extra confidence and help to get through.
