iFundWomen's representative explains that startups during COVID-19 faced two urgent needs: immediate emergency funding for payroll and manufacturing, and education for future crowdfunding campaigns. The organization is launching grant programs for women-focused founders through My Fund Women.

I think the biggest need that we're seeing from the entrepreneurs in our community is simply access to capital, which is not new by any means due to COVID. But it is how are we able to leverage all of the different tools and resources out there to get the funding we need to come out on the other side. And so obviously we're really dogmatic about crowdfunding at iFundWomen and we're seeing our entrepreneurs in kind of two different need states. The ones who are now coming to us because they need to raise some emergency funding to cover payroll, to cover manufacturing costs, whatever it is over the next couple months. And then we're seeing entrepreneurs who are kind of using this time to say, okay, I can use this opportunity to plan out a campaign later in the year and really get the education that I need to make sure I can be successful down the road. And then we're really focused on getting grant opportunities out there. There are so many big companies who need a way to market right now, and showing up with your dollars can be very valuable. So I'd say also stay tuned for grants for My Fund Women because they're definitely in the works and we know how needed they are.
