A consultant joins an early startup unpaid and part-time with no title. After five or six months building a product that gets completely rebuilt, the founders offer him a co-founder position.
They had already built some of the initial product, although the product that we eventually went to market with was completely different. So they ended up having to rebuild it, but the original product was built and I joined them sort of part-time, like didn't get paid, didn't have a title, nothing for like 6 months almost. And then sometime, maybe 5 months, sometime into that 6-month period, they like offered me the job of being the co-founder.
