Hi, I'm James Stone and I'm director of the HubSpot Jumpstart Program. Here today I've got 5 tips for startups on how is it you can use inbound marketing to generate more business. Tip number 1: Build personas. A persona is the type of person that it is that you're looking to attract into your website. Start out by making sure that you've got a good idea of exactly who it is that you're trying to target before creating any of your content. Step 2: Always solve for the searcher. You want to make sure that any piece of content that you push out is all about them, their pains, their challenges, rather than what it is that necessarily your company is selling. Step 3: Create content as soon as possible. Just like developing your product or service, you want to make sure that you're building content, building out authority, and building presence on your website And the quicker and sooner that you can do that, the more authority that you're going to be able to build in the future. Step 4, monitor social media and build authority on social media. It doesn't matter if you have your product done yet or if you're just pushing it out. If you can go ahead and push good valuable content on social, you can build a nice authority, you can build a nice crowd of individuals that will help influence your potential market and start to get a good sense of who it is that your customers are. Step 5, tip number 5: more offers, more leads. Make sure that you use different calls to action other than just "contact us," "request a demo." The more calls to actions that you have, the more chance that different individuals are going to convert earlier on in the funnel, and in turn, more leads for you. So those are 5 quick tips on how is it you can use inbound marketing for startups. Thanks.
