Three Founder Institute graduates share what worked for them: take the brutal mentor feedback seriously, actually listen to what they tell you, and treat the curriculum like your business depends on it. Humility and hard work beat everything else.
I think being successful in the FI program takes a little bit of humility and thick skin because I think Adeo and the mentors, they try to replicate the, you know, the sort of cutthroat environment of business, and they're brutally honest, and they'll give you constructive criticism very freely.
It's very extremely important, because if you don't listen, you would not be able not only to do Founder Institute, but to do startup, because at the end it's all about positioning your business, positioning what you do within the other people to succeed. Right. And second thing, don't be afraid to take the challenge and make sure you take it and go ahead with it, if it even seems it's impossible.
The assignments and all the material that FI has put together, it is extremely helpful if followed, you know, in the right way. So I think that my tip would be to not take those lightly and do it with the right right kind of spirit and with the right kind of, you know, hard work and attention, I think it helped me a lot.
In order to be successful in the program, make sure that your why is clear. Why are you doing this? Why you? And why now? Because being a founder, being an entrepreneur, it's hard. It's going to be hard. And the only thing that will keep you going through the hard times is having that why very, very clear.
