If you've never heard of a contractor buying a contract, what that means is that they'll come in and they'll underbid the job with a potential plan of increasing the bid during the job once they've already started. So be sure that if you feel like you're getting a really, really good deal, it's probably too good to be true. So make sure that the bid and the delivery of what you're expecting is very clear. And if you do feel really, really, really good about it, you may want to check those feelings as far as the bid might be too good, and you're going to get hit with additional fees and additional markups or additional change orders that probably should have been caught from the beginning.
