A person's value comes from the story of how they learned, not what they know. Sharing struggles and failures creates empathy and shows others they can do the same.

I actually care very little about what you know. I care so much more about how you know what you know. How did you get there? When did you fail? When was it hard? Where's your mess? Like, can I hear that story? Because then as an audience member, I can say, "Me too. I have been there." And the hard-fought-for journey is not only a much better story to tell and way more interesting, but it helps me feel like I can make that journey too.
