Well, hello everybody! Welcome, welcome, welcome! Good morning! We don't normally do our Movers Lives in the morning, but I'm kind of digging this. I am— I, I always struggle to figure out if I'm a morning person or, or because I'm generally an every time person. It's a problem unless it's 1 o'clock and then I'm tired because there's something after having 3 kids, there is something like in my bones that at 1 o'clock I still have the urge to nap. Uh, when I was home with my babies when they were little and they were napping at 1 o'clock, and it was like, I just, I remember being in meetings at 1 o'clock shortly after maternity leave, and I would just be like, I can't do this, I can't, you guys, it is nap time. Um, and I don't really do naps, so Okay, well, I am really excited about what we are going to do in this short little training. And really what I'm doing is I'm taking what we talked about in the show on Monday. So if you haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, that's okay, you can still get something out of this. But in the show on Monday, we talked about what we need to do before we plan for 2021. Before we dive in. Now, maybe you've already done your plan, but these strategies are still going to be useful and helpful for you. Um, and one of the things that Andy talked about— so I brought my husband into the show with me, and actually he has a keynote in about, I don't know, half hour, so we're gonna make this quick because he needs this space. Ah, there's a lot happening, uh, but I brought him into the show on Monday because he is the expert here. He is the strategist, he is the operations guy, he's the leadership development person. I just get to benefit from his brain in that, and I wanted to share some of his expertise with all of you as we shift into 2021 because for myself, I like to just zip right on by reflection and analysis of the past. It is the 7 in me, um, it's the ENFP, it's the— I don't know, all the things who I am. I'm just like, let's just focus on a better future, shall we? And I thought, nope, I need to slow down, and maybe some other people need to to do the same, because especially this year, it's like, who wants to look at the past? So Andy gave us some tools in that episode, and one of the tools that he talked about is called a SWOT analysis— S-W-O-T. And I have used the SWOT analysis, uh, before, uh, in organizations I've been a part of, in planning and ideating I've done with clients, and I've done it myself a handful of times as well. Now, I am not an expert at the SWOT analysis, and if Andy were in here, I was like, if you're gonna be in here, you, you might end up wanting to coach me in this because he's the expert in this. But what I thought would be helpful is giving us two, you know, a few minutes here, 5 minutes, 7 minutes to spend some time on a SWOT analysis for yourself. Okay, so we're gonna do this together. I'm not gonna do a super thorough one here. I'm gonna give you some pieces to it so that you have what you need to do the same thing. Okay, as Andy said on Monday, we can keep this really simple. It does not have to be overly complicated. And because my business is all about speaking, this is going to be about my business and speaking. And my hope for you as you're thinking about this is you can use this for your business as a whole, of course. And maybe you've done this before, but maybe this is an opportunity to think about how you can grow your business of speaking. Even if right now there is no business of speaking that you are in, you are just trying to get out front more, you're trying to share your story more, you're looking for tools and tricks and like strategies to do it better. Awesome. But this is all a part of it. This is part of how we get better and how we grow. We start planning and becoming more intentional. Okay, so we're gonna use my business as an example as we step into this, but know that I'm not gonna do a full SWOT analysis for you on my business, but I'm gonna give you a few things so that you can see how this works. Okay, and I'm still wearing my workout clothes because I'm working out right after this. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. So I've got my handy-dandy turntable with all of my markers in it, and I decided instead of doing it with slides, I was going to get up on my feet and do it on paper because sometimes it's just good. It's been a technologically frustrating week, and sometimes we just gotta back it up and get old school. So we're going old school, my friends. Yes, yes, I see you're here. How are you? Hope everybody's doing well. Let me know, hop in the comments so I know that you're here. And what I want you to do is pull out a piece of paper if you can and, uh, do your own little SWOT analysis. So SWOT stands for, if you're not familiar, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Now the key thing with this is that strengths and weaknesses are about internal— it's like an internal analysis— and opportunities and threats are external. And this is important because when you start talking about threats, they are often internal, but threats are external things that you can't control necessarily, but that are happening out in the world that might impact your business. I wonder what that could be. Okay, so, um, always good to start with strengths. Like, what are some strengths internally that you bring? So some of the things that I was thinking about that I think are a strength in my business and for me is that, um, I, I really like being external, and that's I like showing up live. I like being visible, and I've got the skills needed to do that. I've got a lot of tools in my business. I've got kind of something for everybody. So I've got courses, I've got a community, free and paid. I've got good assets, like graphic assets, and I think I have a really strong brand. Okay, some strengths. Okay, weaknesses. I am overworked. I am taking on too much. I've got a Systems. I've got lots of systems confusion and issues, uh, and delegating, not a strong suit. Working on it, working on it. These things are all connected. All right, awesome. Oh, hi Meredith, great to see you. Okay, opportunities. What are some opportunities that might exist. Now, this is where it's really important to think externally. What are the opportunities that exist in the world right now? Well, I think it's really important for us— now, these things can apply to all of us— virtual is an opportunity. It's an opportunity for us because The audience gets bigger, and I think the, um, because it democratizes our events in some ways, more people are doing, uh, virtual things. So the opportunities have increased. Okay, so the opportunities have increased, more audience. Perhaps it can be more of a revenue generator. I feel like a lot of the virtual opportunities are free. That's not necessarily a bad thing. It's just maybe not a revenue generator at this point. So I think virtual is a really big opportunity, but maybe one of the opportunities that exist for you externally externally are, for instance, right now video is really, really hot, right? Um, so that's an opportunity if you're not yet really embracing video, if you're not doing reels, if you're not showing up that way at this point. That is a huge opportunity. For you. Okay, and for threats, this one's pretty simple. Let's just all write pandemic down on your threat sheet. Pandemic. Yeah, and, and the threats that exist in this, obviously, that have to do with speaking is event— events have been postponed, opportunities have shifted, maybe canceled. Big events that are— that do tend to be more paid have been postponed probably till 2022. You never know, you never know, but it's absolutely affecting that part of the business. It's also affecting people's sense of fear and uncertainty and insecurity, so you really want to think about that's an emotional reality that is a threat, and it changes how I sell to people. It changes how I have to show up because I really have to understand what's happening with people internally because of this external threat. Yeah, it's really emphasized that. Okay, so these, uh, that's really quick. That's what took us like 5 minutes, okay? And, and doing that gives you what Andy talked about on Monday, is it's, it's a snapshot. It's a snapshot of like where you're at in your business right now. So I want to look at this really quick because the framework that Andy used on Monday, and we're doing a little deep dive on that episode, was before you plan for 2021 you want to think about— make sure you've looked at the past, you're looking at the present, and you're thinking about the future. Um, so before you just step right into the future, you got to look at the past, um, get a real clear snapshot of your present situation, which is the SWOT analysis. Um, and now we can step into the future. And I want to tell you about two potential future planning things that might be helpful for you. Uh, where are my cool markers? Okay, so, um, listen to the episode about the past. We just did a little SWOT analysis there. And as we look at the future, there's an annual planning workshop that I am giving on Monday. Oh my gosh, this week has gone by so quickly, and so I have I've hardly even talked about it, but I'm doing an annual planning workshop over in Crowdcast. It's, uh, $29 to come and join, which, uh, it's going to be 90 minutes of really workshopping together. I think it's going to be a pretty intimate group so we can dive in together on it. And what I want us to do in that is set out some high-level goals for yourself on around your speaking business.. And we're going to identify what stage you're at in your speaking journey. And even if you haven't done anything yet, that's okay. If you come and plan, it helps set the stage for you to move to the next level in that. And then we're also going to talk about different pathways to, uh, to audience growth and, and more revenue with your speaking. And like I said, if right now you're not— none of that exists in your business, that's okay because you can build towards it. In fact, really, it doesn't happen by accident. We have to put intention around it. And so I'd love for you to come join us. If you go to bmove.com/2021, you can register and join us for that. So that's a Monday afternoon. I think it's 4 o'clock on Monday. PM Central Time. The other thing is this, this is really annual planning. The other thing is that in Movers U, and this was inspired in my conversation with Andy, in Movers U, uh, I realized that quarterly planning needs to be a part of my membership experience, uh, for my benefit and for all of my members as well. So once a quarter, I'm going to be doing an hour-long just Zoom session where we gather together and we lay out some basic goals based on the stage that you're in and how you want to use speaking. So we're going to be building off what we do in this annual planning session to set out some targets for us that quarter, and then Movers U can help support you in that journey. So, um, Right now, if you are not a member of Movers U, reach out to me because there's a founding member special happening, and I still have— I have 50 spots open at that price, and I think, I think I've got 26 left at the founding members price. So reach out to me, let me know if you want to join us inside Movers U. Okay, you can also go to bmove.com/join sallykoeringzimney.com/movers-the-letter-u to learn more about that. Okay, but if you're not sure about that, let's just start with the annual planning. Start with just come and think at a high level, even how do I use speaking in my business, right? I know it's powerful. I know my voice is important. I know storytelling is core. To persuasion and leadership and connection with my audience. I know this, but I'm just not sure how to leverage it in order to do the things I want to do. So if you're— if you don't know that, let's come join me on Monday and we'll help bring some clarification there. All right, that's it. I hope this was helpful for all of you. Super fun. It's good to go old school a little bit. With the paper and the pen. I like it. All right, have a great day, everybody. Let me know what you think about this Morning Movers U. Movers U. This is Movers Live. So many movers things. I like them. I like this morning training instead of the noon thing. I don't know, we might have to, we might have to play with that. Let me know how that's working for you. All right. Thanks for coming, and, uh, I will see all of you first, hopefully on Monday over in Crowdcast, because it'd be great, be great to hang together in that way and help put some, uh, targets and some intention around your 2021. Okay, because it doesn't just happen. It is not a magical thing, we have to put some intention and basically say to the universe, nope, this is, this is part of what I want to do. So step 1, if you haven't put some intention yet around your goals with your speaking in 2021, this is an awesome place to start. Youmove.com/2021. All right. I was going to say happy Friday. It's not Friday, but I get to I'm going to go now and spend the rest of my day at a virtual conference with Amy Porterfield, and I'm super excited about it. But first I'm going to go work my— I'm going to go walk my dog. Work my dog. Walk my dog. My husband is getting ready for his keynote. I should show everybody your setup. It's intense. I love it. So good. But have a great rest of the day. Bye, everybody.
