Welcome back to the Healthy Profits Podcast. Today, I get to share one of my biggest passions, which is technology. So I'm actually going to go in to the deep world of tech and what happens when you find good tech to help your podcasting. Because today we're diving into the world of tech tools that can transform your podcasting game. And if you've ever been overwhelmed by the editing process or struggle to get creative and engaging video content produced for your podcast, you're definitely not alone, because many podcasters face these same challenges. But the good news is that there are powerful tools out there that can make your life a whole lot easier. And let's start by discussing the problem and the elephant in the room that many of us have encountered in podcast production. Journeys and editing can be a real pain. It's time consuming, it's tedious, and often feels like it takes away from the creative process. And I definitely remember in the early days when I would spend hours cutting out ums, ohs, and awkward pauses, trying to stitch together a coherent episode. And it was beyond frustrating. It made me question whether podcasting was worth the effort, especially when I was editing other people's shows. So many ums and odds, it was insane. But then I found some incredible tools that really changed everything for me. So this is what we're going to go in today. And let's be honest, being a content creator can be a major roadblock for many podcasters. And imagine you've just recorded a fantastic interview or a solo episode, and you're excited about the content, but then you realize you have hours of editing ahead of you. The thought of combining through the audio, fixing mistakes, making it sound professional, can be totally daunting. And not to mention, creating video content from your audio files seems like an entirely different beast. And this is where many podcasters get totally stuck and some even give up, which is really where evolve podcasting came from. That is the solution that we helped so many people with. And just let me take you back. When I first started producing podcasts and podcasting, I remember spending countless hours editing audio files with my then partner, Mike, and trying to make everything sound perfect, even if each aww, awkward pause felt like a mountain I had to climb. And I remember looking at the timeline being like, oh my God, what am I doing? It was exhausting and took away from the joy of creating content. There were moments when I almost gave up thinking that podcasting and having an agency definitely wasn't for me. But then I discovered Descript. It was like a light at the End of the tunnel and suddenly editing became an intuitive and fun and I could focus more on what I love, which is creating valuable content for you. And I'll never forget the first time I used descript. The interface was super user friendly and the ability to edit audio just by editing text blew my mind. I could cut out filler words, rearrange segments, and even add music video sound effects with just a few clicks and it saved me probably days of work and made the whole process much more enjoyable. This tool was a game changer and for me and many others, and allowed me to take the podcast to the next level for myself and the team. Because guys, the truth is many podcasters quit because of the technical hurdles. Editing creating video content, managing multiple platforms can be incredibly daunting and these tasks can feel overwhelming and take up precious time that could be spent on creating promoting content. But what if I told you that there are tools that can streamline the entire process, saving you time and energy so you can focus on what you do best, which is sharing your message with the world, right? Enter my favorite tools, descript, Opus Clips and a suite of others. But we're going to focus on Descript and Opus because descript is an all in one audio and video editing software that transcribes your recordings, making it easier and simple as editing text documents.
