Weekly Driver Safety Training

A new weekly driver safety program replaces monthly 30-minute videos with 2-5 minute lessons in English and Spanish. Each lesson covers defensive driving, backing, merging, seatbelts, and distracted driving, followed by a quiz that generates a certificate. Managers get monthly reports on completion.

Over the last year, we've been improving our driver safety training capabilities to help ensure that you remain on the leading edge of safety and compliance. Today, we're proud to launch our newest weekly driver safety training. Instead of sending out a new 30 minute or so safety training video series each month, we're breaking complex topics into bite sized pieces and sending them to all enrolled drivers once each week. To help support our diverse workforce, every video will be available in both English and Spanish. As more and more demands are placed on our time and attention, we're finding it increasingly harder to focus on topics for a long period of time. For better or worse, most of our attention spans are now much more suited for Instagram. Rather than watching a 30 minute in depth video, these micro lessons will help improve knowledge retention and learning effectiveness. More importantly, it will help reinforce our commitment to operating safely and in compliance with DOT regulations. By demonstrating that we are training our drivers on a regular basis, we will also reduce our chances of being targets of nuclear litigation. Each two five minute video will cover important topics defensive driving principles, Backing safety merging techniques, Seatbelt views, distracted driving prevention and many other critical topics. At the video's conclusion, the driver will take a short quiz to check their understanding of the concepts covered. Once finished, the driver will be issued a certificate of completion and a copy will be stored in your safety training files for future reference. We will also send you a monthly training recap to show which drivers completed their training during that time period. Ultimately, this should help improve your fleet safety and regulatory compliance with minimal additional effort.
