Hi there, Linda Artesani, Community Live and Artesani Bookkeeping. And I wanted to address a question that I think is a really good one. It is a question about how to delete a GL account off of your chart of accounts. And the reason why it's a good one is if you're new to QuickBooks Online, it's not really obvious where you do this. So let me share my screen so you can see the question itself. And it's asked by NJ Sherry. Delete a GL account. New to QBO. How do I delete an account on the Chart of Accounts? The client's using Simple Start. So I've got a Simple Start account open. And you can see here, I've got 2 accounts here, Uncategorized Income. This is one of those default accounts you can't delete. And this one's clearly not the one that it's been replicated on Uncategorized Income. So how do I delete it? So to get to this page, first, we'll start with Go to Accounting and then Chart of Accounts, and that will bring this open. And then if you want to remove this duplication, you're going to come over to where it says Run Report. And there's a dropdown list and just click here and then hit Delete. And it's going to ask you, sure you want to delete this? And then you say yes, and it will delete the account. So that's how simple it is to be able to just delete an account on, on QuickBooks Online off the chart of accounts. If it's a default account, it's going to tell you that you can't delete it. And there's a few of them. Those uncategorized accounts are for online banking. So just so you'd be aware of that. And there's a few other ones. Opening Balance Equity, Reconciliations, Discrepancies. I think you can delete that one. It'll just keep making it if you use it again. But there are some that are default accounts like payroll and you can't delete them. But for the most part, you can delete or clean up your, your, your chart of accounts very simply. So I hope that helps. And keep asking questions. And if you have any more questions, feel free to reach out to us. We're here to help. Thanks. Bye.
