Good morning. Happy Monday. I'm excited for this edition to Monday Momentum. Today we're talking about 10 different post ideas that you can use when starting your business. And I thought it would be a great topic of discussion this morning because last week we added over 600 brand new members inside Launch Your Box. And while not all of them are brand new to business, there is a good chunk of our new members that haven't launched their subscription box and even current members that are still working on that. And so I thought today would be a great way to just talk through some different things that you can post when you're starting your business. And these are also great for existing business owners when you feel like you just need something different in your feed, you just need something different to post. And so I've got 10 different ideas. I did want to mention that if you want to get the Monday morning text from me, all you have to do is text me the keyword Monday to my text number right here, which is 940-204-0023. And then every Monday morning before I go live, I will send out a quick text reminding you to jump on for Monday Momentum. Now I have some other exciting big news for you this morning. We officially started our YouTube channel. This is the first thing that will be on our YouTube channel. I am streaming live on YouTube right now. I have zero YouTube subscribers. My team has the link. If you will pop my YouTube channel link in the chat, I would love for all of you to be my first YouTube subscribers over on the YouTube. I feel like it's such a, um, I feel like it's such a weird thing for me to just start doing YouTube all of a sudden. I feel like it's for the younger generation, but I also catch myself YouTubing things all the time. And so I'm— we're dipping the toe in. We've got the YouTube set up. So if you will just go be my first YouTube subscribers, that will be amazing. You can watch me on YouTube right now. Um, or you can hang out with me on Facebook either way. Um, but we're going to be putting some of our past content on YouTube. I thought about also taking some of our box opening videos and putting them on YouTube so you could go back and watch them. But just a way to get more, um, get in front of more people. I'm always talking to you about audience building, and there's a whole nother audience over on YouTube that are not watching me on Facebook regularly. And so I'm working on that. I'm testing, I'm doing what I tell you to do to get in front of new people all the time. And that's what we're doing. We're going to do that on, on YouTube. So we're trying that out today. Let me come to the chat. Let me say good morning to everybody, and then we're going to jump right in. If you're a note-taker, you definitely want to grab your notebook because 'cause I want you to jot down some of these ideas. So we're gonna go through 10 different post ideas. Again, text me the keyword Monday if you wanna get the reminder that I'm going live on Monday morning. I'll just send you a quick text right before I go live. Good morning, Amy. Hey, Holly. Good evening, Bontina. Good morning. Good morning, Lexi. Good morning, April. Good morning, Alicia. Hey, Antoinette. Good morning, everybody. I see Brenda's here. Hi, Deanna. Good morning, Julie. Good morning, Tita. Good morning, everybody. I am ready. Are you guys ready? Good morning. So let's dig in. And don't— you don't type the word Monday in here, Elizabeth. You're going to text it to me. Okay, so there's this text number right here. Just text me the word Monday. Then you'll be in my little texting app. And then you'll be in the little bucket that says Monday Momentum. And so every Monday I will text you and I don't text everyone because on the West Coast it is 7:00 AM. And if I sent you a 6:45 AM text and you did not want that, you might not like me very much. So I want you to make sure, I want to make sure that you want a text from me early in the morning. I don't want to just spam everybody with texts text, especially if you're on the East Coast— I mean, the West Coast— and it's super duper early. And I have to give a shout to our West Coasters like Amy because it is 7 o'clock where she lives and she's hanging out with us this morning. So, um, all right, let's dig in. Let me take this little banner off, and I've got some pictures I'm going to show you today. And we're going to do it again. So these are what to post before you launch your box, because it gets hard. The biggest thing that we should be doing right now is building our audiences. And so we need to do that with social media. But you're, you're always like, what do I post if I don't have my subscription boxes yet? What do I put on my page before I start selling my subscription boxes? So I've got 10 different things. And even if you already have your subscription boxes, these are great things that you can mix in with your everyday product subscription box posts, all those kinds of things. This will just give you a bank of things that you can be posting regularly that'll get you out of your content rut. Okay? And I've pulled some of these from my own page so you could see examples of what I'm talking about. Alright, so number 1, share pictures of you. Your audience wants to see you. They want to get to know you and letting them see your face helps them, helps you build that know, like, and trust factor. And I know you don't want to be walking around taking selfies all day, taking pictures all day, but they need to see you. And I, every time I do social media reviews, I can look at someone's post and the most engagements they have are typically pictures of them. Here's a post idea for you. Okay, this is a picture of me. I'm just working on some monograms. It has me, but it also has relevance to what I do. So you could take a picture of you doing something, prepping something that would be relevant to your subscription box. I'm wearing a monogram. I'm by the monogramming machines. Picture of me. I tell a story in each one of these posts. Okay, so that's a, that's an easy idea for you. Okay. This might be my first YouTube comment ever. Diana, you are my very first YouTube comment. I'm just going to celebrate right here. Might be my first YouTube subscriber as well. I'm going to go look real quick and see. But you are my first YouTube. I have 14 subscribers. Yes, on YouTube. Y'all are amazing. Thank you for just making my day because Diana was the first person to comment on the YouTube. So that just made my whole day seeing that in my feed. Okay. But anyway, first, number 1, share pictures of you. Okay, now let's go back over here. Number 2, and it doesn't have to be you. Just tell a story. So much of our social media is about being social. So just post a picture of what maybe right now, maybe you're sitting watching your phone, maybe you're on the computer and your phone's handy. Just sit and do it. Do a quick picture like this of you watching the computer and say, working on my social media today, starting my business, and I'm really excited. Whatever that is, whatever, drinking your coffee, learning from your business coach, share a picture of you. That's an easy post that all of you could do today. And then they're like, oh, that's cool, she takes training. That's cool, that's her face. She likes coffee. She's drinking tea. Whatever you're drinking this morning, pictures of you. It doesn't matter what you're doing. Okay. Number 2, share quotes or memes that align with your ideal customer. If you guys came to Subscription Box Coaching Week, you know that my ideal customer is a Southern busy mom. That's my ideal customer. So you could share quotes or memes that align with my ideal customer. This is me. If you don't know, every Monday I go get my hair washed and blow dried and curled. I just got back from there, so I've got fresh hair this morning. But one day I was there and this was up at the counter, so I grabbed my Starbucks and took a picture of it and posted it for the day. Hey Alexa, wash my hair. This is relatable because we're Southern busy moms, and if you have long hair, you know that it's a chore to have to do. So this is relatable. This aligns with my ideal customer. Okay, I have another one that I shared that I have on here. This is just something that is fun. It aligns with my ideal customer. It aligns with me. I'm making fun of myself, which is also relatable. Okay, so me doing something alone perfectly, I can handle anything. Me doing something when somebody is watching. And I wrote in the comments, me trying to park anywhere at any time when there are witnesses. This is just fun. This is funny. And this will align with my Southern busy mom. Like, it's just, it's relatable. So you can share content like this. So that's, that's number 2. Okay, number 2. Oops, hang on. Share. Number 2, share quotes or memes that align with your ideal customer. Okay, I find a lot of mine on Pinterest. You know, I love Pinterest. Number 3, ask questions. People love answering questions and giving their opinions. Now that you know a little bit more about your ideal customers, what kind of, what kind of questions could you ask them? Think about your everyday life. Think, think about things that go on in your everyday life. And this was something that got a lot of engagement on. I'm going to show you this one. The dog ate my birthday cake. The dog ate my birthday cake. And this got so many engagements. And so my question was, would you toss the cake? It was great while it lasted. Trim the edge and move on. Or 3, it's just a few doggy licks. It's fine. I'll eat the corner piece. And that got so many engagements because people were talking about what they would do and it was really surprising what their answers were. But it's just something that happened in my everyday life and I just created engagement out of it. Okay, so ask questions. Here's another one. That I did, just ruin Thanksgiving in 4 words, and they will put the 4 words in there. And it was so fun. It's relatable. It's relatable to my audience. It pushes it into their feeds. Everyone that comments on this now, their friends are going to see. And so it's more potential new customers. So don't overthink it. Just ask some questions. Okay. Number 4. Take them behind the scenes. Take them behind the scenes. So here's one where I'm working on, um, some monograms, and I was programming some different letters and creating the colors. And so I'm just talking about this monogram font that I searched forever for, for one of our boxes, um, and I was watching Big Brother and designing my own font in Photoshop because I couldn't find the font that I wanted. And so the whole conversation is how much people love that font and how much they love Big Brother in the chat. So I'm just being real. I'm just being me. I'm just creating those connection points. And so I'm just taking them behind the scenes. And that's exactly what you could do today as you're watching me, maybe on your computer, taking that picture of you watching me learn about social media. And so take them behind the scenes with whatever you're working on. It can be lots of different things. It could be packaging, it could be making, it could be designing, it could be lots of different things. Here I'm just on the laptop creating my own font. Okay. The next one is share an opt-in or an email signup. If you guys have been all my new members, if you've been working through the audience building module, You know that we need to be building an audience and building a list. We can start building a list right away by having an opt-in. And so here I've got a lead magnet, which is my wallpaper, and I'm just sharing the wallpaper and telling them that it's free and go download it. So now not only am I creating stuff for social media, but I'm also adding them to my email list. So I'm building my list, I'm building social media. Hopefully they will share this, it will create some momentum. So this is number 5, share an opt-in with an email signup. Number 6, share giveaway. This is also in the audience building module. So this is something that you can do right away. You can set up a giveaway. You don't even need to have your products. Here to run a giveaway. You can create a great giveaway with similar items that what you want in your subscription box. Um, you can just— if you listen to my podcast this week, um, with Kevin from Beachly, he said they did this. They went out to the surf shops and they bought different products that they was— they were hoping to have in their Beachly box for women, and they just did some mock-ups and that's what you can do. You can go out to your favorite shops, grab some couple items, put them in a giveaway. These would be items that would be similar to what you're going to have in your subscription box so it attracts the right person and then run a giveaway. You're going to be adding to your social media. You will be adding to your email list. You will be growing your audience. So share a giveaway is number 6. Number 7 is share quick tips or advice. Barbecue meatballs have nothing to do with my business, right? Barbecue meatballs have nothing to do with my business, but how many Southern busy moms would love a good easy barbecue meatball recipe? I'm just sharing what I was making for dinner and the recipe. I'm giving them the recipe right there on the picture. It doesn't have to be about your product. It's simply a life hack. So this is something that you could share. You're going to attract people that are cooking, which is my ideal audience. My Southern busy mom loves some barbecue meatballs, hopefully, and they want my recipe. So you could share— if you have like a pet subscription, you could share tips on washing their bedding or how often to adjust their collar or when to clip their nails or how to clip their nails, like those kinds of things. Think about your niche. What quick tips? Or just think about your ideal customer. What is that person thinking, feeling, and doing? What mom wouldn't love a quick, easy recipe in their newsfeed to help them with dinner tonight? Quick tips or advice is number 7. Number 8, give them a peek into the life of a small business owner. What is it like owning a small business? People are fascinated by the idea of owning their own business, yet most of them don't understand that what all goes into being a business owner. And these posts will give you an opportunity to let them in your world. This post I have to tell you, we were getting ready to prep our— we were getting ready to prep our March 2020 monogram box. All the boxes are folded behind me, we're getting ready to pack, and the whole world shuts down and we have to shut our store down. And now they're telling me I can't even be in the building that I have to do this from home. And so I literally have to take all of this stuff home to pack it. And so I did a whole post about it, like, okay, let me just move all this crap to my living room real quick. And just those things that we go through as small business owners, like, it's just a fun picture. It's me again. Pictures of you always do well. but I'm telling them what's going on. You can use posts, you know, that highlight supporting small businesses. Let them know how they can support being a small business, the challenging, the good parts, the bad parts, all the parts. People want to buy from businesses and brands and people that they like and know. And so letting them get to know your business and your role as the owner of the small business, it really helps build those connections. And relationships. So number 8, give them a peek into the life of a small business owner. Okay, number 9, celebrate national days. There are so many national days. Fourth of July is coming up. I love this because in Meta Business Suite, When you go into schedule, I'm gonna pull it up and see what national holidays we have. When you go into schedule posts, it gives you suggestions of what's coming up with the national, what national holidays are this week. So you can, you don't have to go follow a schedule or anything like that. You literally just go into your business suite. I'm gonna pull it up and show you really quick. And you can use that. To schedule posts. Okay, so we've got— hang on, let me share this with you. Let me take this post down, share my screen. Doing all the things today. So I'm in Meta Business Suite. So Independence Day, so having a Fourth of July post. July 7th is World Chocolate Day. July 16th, National Ice Cream Day. So these days are in here. So now I can do a post about chocolate. I can do a post about ice cream, maybe asking what is your favorite ice cream flavor? These are all ways that we can engage and connect with our subscribers or just our followers. And so number 9 is celebrate national days. Give me a reason to go get ice cream for the day, please. I'll go, I'll go to Braum's, get me a big old ice cream cone, and I'll take a picture of me. Remember, number 1, share pictures of you with my mint chocolate chip ice cream cone, and I'll ask you what your favorite flavor is. And so that's one way it's a connection point. There was also— I pulled this one because it was Happy International Joke Day. This was also in the 2020 and pulled it off when I saw the one about where I had to take everything home. But remember when gas price was, was really, really, really high. So it was Happy International Joke Day and I was kidding, not kidding. But it's just fun because everybody at that moment could feel this like $15 worth of gas was a little drop of gas at that point. And so it was relatable. It made people laugh. People engaged on it, they created conversations. So that is number 9, celebrate national days. Number 10, share some content from another page. So I love Dude with a Sign. I always love his signs. So I share it occasionally. If there's a page that you like to follow, just share that on your own page. It's, I still don't understand the reason for daylight savings time. I still don't understand sometimes. And that's relatable to my Southern busy mom. And so it's just another way to reach and expand your audience by sharing from different pages. And so these are 10 different ways that you can do that. And if you don't overcomplicate it, it doesn't have to be perfect and polished and brand new. Branding, branded, branded. It just can be off the cuff and fun and engaging. And so I just want you to take some of these ideas and I want you to use them to create content for your social media. So it was National Praline Day, perfect day for you, Allison. National Praline Day. So Marianne, are you asking where the national days were that I pulled up? Let me show you. So that's in Meta Business Suite. Let me pull it back up for you and I will show you. So inside Facebook, hang on, let me go back to my page. Inside Facebook, you can go over here. This is my Facebook page for my subscription box. You can go into Meta Business Suite and it's going to— let me reshare 'cause it switched screens. I use the planner in Meta Business Suite, okay? So here's Meta Business Suite. Now over on the side, I use this little thing called Planner and it gives you the weekly grid like this. And so that's where all these days are. And then I can also go in here and schedule all my content. So you can see my content from last week. I can go in and schedule all my content for this week, which we need to do today. But while I'm scheduling that, I can also create posts for these days. And they— it says they have some templates you can use. I like to use my own things. I'd rather have, um— that looks cheesy to me, so I'd rather use my own posts. And I would pair it with something, so like For National Chocolate Day, I might use one of my mugs that I sell in the shop with maybe some like chocolate milk or something in it with a bar of chocolate, because then I've got product and then I've got— I'm celebrating the national day. Or if you don't have product that you're selling, if you're— if it's before you have product, this is a great way to put you and chocolate in there, you and ice cream, you and Independence Day. Like those photos of you are going to help build connections with people. And so that's what I want you to do. Okay. All right. So that's your 10 post ideas. If you don't have product to post yet, I want you to use them now before your launch. I want you to use them after you've launched, but make sure you jot them all down and let's get some stuff scheduled today so that you have some social media posting all week long. And if you haven't yet done it, team, will you pop my YouTube channel back in there? Because I would love to have 100 subscribers over on my YouTube channel today. I have 19 subscribers so far. We started our YouTube channel. This is live on YouTube right now. We're going to be building out some content on YouTube so you'll be able to watch videos over there easily. and come hang out with me on Mondays over there if you want. And remember, if you want to get that reminder on Monday mornings that I am going live, all I need you to do is to text me the word Monday to my text number. If you're already inside my texting app, just go in there and text me Monday. It'll put you on the Monday Momentum list, and I'll send you a quick text um, every Monday reminding you that I'm gonna go live. And I just got my second YouTube comment of the day. I'm excited about it. So go hang out with me on YouTube as well, and I'll see you guys back here later. Have a great Monday. Let's go get some stuff scheduled. Bye, guys.
