3 Actions That Actually Move Your Subscription Box Business Forward This Week📱

In this live Monday coaching session, Sarah Williams opens by sharing how the recent time change, a busy weekend, and multiple personal and professional responsibilities (managing a blow‑dry bar during her manager’s maternity leave, her daughter’s varsity sports, and preparing for a major Launch a Box event) have left her feeling overwhelmed and "in the weeds." She reflects on missing her husband’s quiet emotional regulation, using the metaphor of him turning off lights she leaves on. To combat the overwhelm, Sarah proposes a simple three‑action framework for the week, starting with a single audience‑building task. She explains why a consistent weekly audience‑building action is essential for any subscription‑box business, regardless of size, to avoid selling to the same limited pool. She then offers concrete ideas—posting behind‑the‑scenes content, sharing the founder’s why, collaborating with other small businesses, adding an extra live session, or varying the day of a live—to shake up algorithms and re‑engage followers. Throughout, she invites participants to share their chosen audience‑building action in the chat, fostering community accountability and interaction. The session blends personal vulnerability, practical instruction, and interactive motivation to help viewers break through overwhelm and move their businesses forward.

Good morning, good morning. Happy Monday. Yeah, happy Monday. I don't feel like it's Monday. Like, I catch myself wondering, like, what day it is because I've been working all weekend, and so it doesn't feel like I had a weekend very much. And so it's Monday and the time changed, and I'm just going to say it's throwing me off a little bit this morning. Does the time change throw you off? Let me know in the chat. It's weird. I had this weird hair this morning. Let's get that under control. It throws me off just a little bit. I'm not tired. I just have felt a little in the weeds with the business lately. There's just a lot happening at once right now. And so it has me feeling a little bit overwhelmed, a little bit in the weeds. There's a lot of big things happening with Framed right now. There's a, there's a big event that we're putting together for Launch a Box. Launcher box that you will hear about soon. And so there's a lot of things happening for that right now. I've got my manager at the blow dry bar is on maternity leave, so I'm having to step in there a little more than I'd like to. And so there's just a lot going on. There's a lot going on. And then, you know, I'm caught in the middle of basketball season, middle of, you know, soccer season. And my daughter plays those— both of those varsity sports. So I'm here. Let's just, let's just acknowledge that even in these moments, we still show up, right? Let's just acknowledge that. I've been feeling a little in the weeds with all the businesses the last few weeks, but it doesn't prevent me from getting up and showing up like I do every Monday morning. And so I just— I'm going to give myself a little pat on the shoulder here because sometimes that feels hard, right? Like sometimes it feels hard to— when you're overwhelmed and you're not sure what to tackle this in this moment, you're feeling overwhelmed, you're not sure what to do next. And if you're like me, sometimes it just shuts me down, right? Like I just shut down. I want to ignore all life responsibilities. I want to watch TV. I want to read a book. I want to do anything but all the big, hairy things that I have to do in my business. Right. And so I was thinking about all of that this morning while I was drinking some coffee. And I thought, I think we need to talk about that today because I know that I feel it and I don't like being in this feeling, right, that I'm in right now. And I'm hoping that I work through that. I'm going on vacation. I leave for vacation Wednesday. I think that's also a little— adds to the stress because I'm trying to get all the things done before I leave. Do you know what I mean? Sometimes vacations are like this love-hate relationship I have. We have to work really hard to go on the vacation. By the time we're on vacation, it's exhausting. But I thought, let's talk about when we get in a space where we feel overwhelmed, we feel in the weeds with our business. Let's just make this as simple as possible for us. And so I thought, let's focus on 3 things this week. If you're feeling the way I'm feeling, I can— we can just focus on 3 things. And if you make yourself a little checklist today, you know, Jamie says, I did not want to get out of bed this morning. Same, girl, same. These 3 things are going to help you get out of bed. They're going to help you know what to do next. They're going to help you move your business forward this week when you're feeling uncertain, overwhelmed, in the weeds. Okay, so let's just start with the first one. Good morning. First of all, good morning. I didn't even acknowledge that y'all are here. Good morning. This is how my brain is like skipping over the things. Here's the other thing, um, my husband has been gone since Wednesday and I feel like he keeps me in check. He keeps all my— he regulates my emotions, do you know what I mean? Like, he keeps me calm. And I, I was talking to him this morning on the way to work and I said, I got a question for you. He's like, what? And I was like, do you just walk behind me and turn lights off? Because I, I turn every light on in the house and I don't seem to turn any of them off. And I, I don't ever I see that problem when you're there. He goes, I got you, and I don't even need to make you feel bad about it. Like, I just go behind you and turn the lights off. I'm like, why are all the lights on? And I'm realizing I do this all the time, and he just turns them off for me. He just does things for me that kind of regulates my emotions, and he doesn't have to like say, I've turned off the 200th light this week, can you turn the lights off? He never would say that to me. He just goes behind me and turns them off. Quietly. And I just appreciate that. I just appreciate that more than he will know. And maybe that's also why I'm feeling in the weeds, because he's not here to regulate my emotions this week. And so, babe, I'm gonna need you to come home soon so that I can stop feeling this way. Um, but good morning to everybody. Good morning, Tracy. Hey, Tamara. Hi, Rebecca. Good morning, Jamie. Good morning, Christina. Good morning, Teresa. Good morning, y'all. I'm glad you're here. So Sue says it's role reversal. I'm the one, Sue, giving you a pat on the shoulders. Good job. Yeah, so, you know, they are— Nikki, you're so right. That's why they're our better half. They just do things and don't make us feel like crap over them. Like, if he would just gripe about how I'd never turn a light off, that would be, you know, another issue. But he doesn't. So, okay, let's get in. Let's get down to business this morning. If you're a note-taker, great session for you to just take some notes. It's going to help you kind of figure out where do I start this week? What's going to move the needle in my business this week? And so let's start with, let's start with number 1, audience building. So we just need one audience building action. You don't have to do all the things. There's 3 important things that we need to do every single week. And number 1, and it's number 1 for a reason, is we need an audience building action. So if you run out of an audience or you're constantly selling to the same audience, you're going to run out of people to sell to. So this is so important. No, no matter where we're at in business, whether you're building an audience to launch to and you haven't launched yet, whether you have thousands of subscribers like, or you're somewhere in between, every one of us needs to have an audience building action every single week. Okay? And so I want you to get out. I want you to do something different than what you've been doing. We're posting just to post, we're going live, we're doing the things. I want you to do something different this week. That's an audience building action. What if you decided every day this week I'm going to post a behind the scenes? It could be a video, it could be a post, it's something different. It's going to shake up the algorithm. Like, let's do something different this week. What if you share your why this week? Maybe you haven't done that in a while. Maybe you mention like, if this feels like you or someone you know, tag them in the, in the comments below. Like, let's get our story out there. Let's find people. Maybe you want to collaborate with another small business this week, sharing each other's audiences, you know, doing something back and forth for each other. That's a great audience building action. Maybe this is the week that you go live, or maybe you add an extra live this week. If you always go live on Mondays like me, maybe it's time I do a different live this week on a different day. Shake it up a little bit, do something different. I want you to think about what you can do this week and drop it in the comments. If you had one new audience building action this week, what would that be for you? I want to hear, I want to hear about it because audience building feels slow and it feels like, okay, I'm posting the things, I'm doing the things, I'm not getting much of a reaction. We need to shake it up and do something a little different. It feels fun. It feels fresh. It feels different, not only to you, but it's going to feel different to your audience. So in the chat, what's one thing you can do differently this week to build your audience? And it just has to be one thing. It doesn't have to be all the things. Okay. And so that's what I want you to think about. Just let your mind think about it. You're probably already thinking about the orders I got to ship, the email I got to send, like all the things that you have to do today because it's Monday. But I want you to stop for just a moment and think about one thing that you can do to build your audience differently this week. One action. And I want you to share that in the chat. Theresa says, go live. Let's do it, Theresa. We've been thinking about it for a while. I know we have. Let's do it. Tracy said, I signed up for 3 different craft summits. That's going to be huge for you, Tracy. You're going to get out there in front of other people. Theresa says, share my why. It's time. We gotta share that.
