Good morning. Happy Monday. I'm glad to be here for Monday Momentum. Today we're going to talk about 3 promotions that you can run before the end of the year. So if you're joining me live, let me know that you're here. This is a kind of pivotal week for us. I know that some of you are very exhausted, as you should be. Let me know how you're feeling about today. Let me know where you're at today mentally, physically, emotionally. We, we've worked all year for what's been happening this week, and, um, with our shipping deadlines passed, it's time to focus on some different things, kind of shift, um, some things that we're doing. I don't know if my text actually went out, so if you will let me know in the chat if you receive my text. It might be delayed, but just let me know you're here. I would love to say hi to everybody. Good morning. I can see my YouTubers are here. Hey, Andrea. Hey, everybody over on YouTube. Hey, Sam. Good morning. Didn't get the text yet. Okay. It might just be delayed a little bit, but here's what we're going to talk about today. There are still 3 promotions. That you can run to really finish your year up strong. I mean, with this microphone out of the way, and I want to talk through those with you because you might be like, well, shipping has passed, Sarah. The deadlines for Christmas have passed. I'm done. I'm exhausted. I'm tired. I'm over it. I don't want you to stop yet. So there's 3 promotions that I still feel like we could all do that could really help you finish your month and your year strong. OK, so we're going to talk about them today. Good morning, everybody. Good morning, Amy. Good morning, Lisa. Good morning, Tabitha. Good morning, Brenda. Good morning, Letty. Hey, Tracy. Good morning. OK, I haven't got the text either. I don't know what's going on with the, with the texting app. I feel like it's tired too. The texting app is equally as tired as we are. So let's talk about these 3 promotions. If you're a note taker, go ahead and just grab a sheet of paper. Grab, grab something so we can write these down because we can write these down. I can't talk today because sometimes I think when we're in this state of exhaustion, we don't think clearly and we don't remember things. So I want you just to jot these down. Grab a Post-it note, grab a piece of paper. Let's start with promotion number 1. Okay. This is something you've heard me talk about quite often, um, and I want to make sure that we're on track to do this. Even if you hadn't put any thought into this yet, you can still do this promotion right now. And number 1 is mystery boxes. Okay, so what I'm gonna do today, I'm gonna go through, um, my stock. We've— our shipping deadline was Thursday, so we have everything out. We still have local customers that are coming into our warehouse that we are still personalizing and getting gifts out, and we're still shipping every based on orders. We just can't guarantee it's going to get there before Christmas. So today I'm going to go through what I have left in my stock. What do I want to liquidate? What do I want to not look at in 2024? What do I want to make sure I get rid of? And I'm going to put together mystery boxes. And I've done this a lot of different ways over the years, um, but I'm going to be very intentional about— like, in the past And in any of these ways is okay. In the past, I just stuffed these boxes randomly, like just taking a box, walk through my shelves and just packed it as full as I could. And that's great too. So you can do that. I think I'm going to be a little bit more intentional this year and every box is going to have X number of accessories, X number of wearable items, X number of like bags or things like that. So I'm going to make a structure around it. So that my team can fulfill it and I don't have to fulfill it. Okay, so before I would take the boxes, I would load them up, I would put them on the table and say, here's what we have to sell. But I think I'm going to put some structure around it. I'm going to put some like, this is what I want to liquidate. And the goal with these mystery boxes is not to make profit. The goal with these mystery boxes is to get back the cash that we have invested in this product. So when I look at the product that, um, I'm putting in here. The goal is to say, okay, if this box is a $75 box, I'm going to put $75 worth of cost in there is what I want to do. And I might do $60, but I'm going to get real close. I just want to liquidate this stuff. I don't want to see it anymore. I want this cash back in my bank account so that I can go into 2024 buying some new products with different profit margins. I'm not trying to make a lot of money here. Now, if you have the ability, if you have a high profit margin to make some money off these mystery boxes, by all means do that. My goal is to stuff them with so much value when people open them, they are blown away at how much stuff they got for the cost. Okay, so that's what I'm gonna do today, and I'm going to show up and sell those tomorrow. And they know that they won't get them in time for Christmas. I'm going to make that crystal clear, um, when we do that. I also make it very clear that there may be some past items from the subscription box in these mystery boxes. So I'm going to make it very clear that, hey, if you're a subscriber, there's a good chance there's going to be some product in here that was in one of your boxes. Gift it, whatever. But I'm going to make it very clear so that they understand the expectations. I want to liquidate product. I want cash back in my bank account. I'm going to make it very transparent, and that's why I'm going to get a little more intentional about like what category of things I'm putting in there so I can say it has this number of this, it has this number of this, it has this number of this. This is what you're gonna get for your money. Um, but I always sell out of these, so I don't have any— I'm not concerned that I'm, I'm gonna have a bunch of boxes left. I'm gonna put as together as many as I can, and I know they're gonna sell out because I— we create habits, we create buying habits with our customers. And so every year when I show up and sell mystery boxes Um, I'm creating this habit that if they don't get on them quickly, they will not get one. So, um, they know that, so they're gonna buy them. They're gonna buy them quickly, and I'm not worried about it. But that's number one, mystery boxes. You could do that this week, um, before you shut down completely for Christmas. If you are taking this week off, you can do it after Christmas, like whatever your schedule allows. We can still do this before the end of the month, and it's going to do several things for us. It's going to clear our inventory, it's going to put cash in our bank, it's going to reduce the amount of inventory so we don't have to count it. And when I run a mystery box sale, like, it's better than saying all this is 75% off, right? I don't, I don't want my subscription box item being associated with clearance. And so when I can run a mystery box sale like this, that makes me feel good about discounting them that much, but not saying, oh, all this stuff that you bought at full price earlier in the year, it's now 75% off. I don't have to I say that, um, that may be the case, but that gives a better perception of the value of my subscription box when I'm not putting stuff on a clearance. Okay, so that's, that's the strategy behind that. Number 2, um, I want to run this one over the weekend. So this one's going to be a customer or subscriber appreciation promo. So this promotion is basically Buy X, get X. Okay. So for me, I was thinking about this last night. I want to make this more of a— you could either do exclusively to your subscribers. So it could be this is a subscriber benefit, subscribers only. You could make it exclusive, you could make it really fun, or you could take your entire customer base and say, you know, this is for all of our customers, our great customers that have been with us all year. Either way you want to do this. It could be subscriber or customer appreciation. So the goal is that we want to show them how much we appreciate them, thanking them for supporting our small business and giving them something. So for me, this would be spend $125, get $25 off and free shipping. Spend $100, get $20 off and free shipping. Something like that. Spend $100, get a free gift. Spend whatever this is. For me, I did $125 because I have a free shipping threshold at $100. So if I say spend $125, get $25 off and free shipping because it's going to trigger that threshold, that's a great deal for, for my subscriber base. You could say spend $100, get $20 off and free shipping if you wanted to. You just have to update your trigger. But that's a 20% instead of saying 20% off everything. You give them $20. So you're giving them $20, which is always a better deal than just a blanket percentage off. People perceive that as dollars, as cash. Oh, she just gave me $20 in cash versus, oh, 20% off anything. The goal here is that they're going to buy for themselves at this point. This is— we're giving them a discount, but we're doing it in a way that almost feels like a gift card or a gift. And you can do a gift. Maybe you have something you want to gift with purchase. Maybe that's a t-shirt, maybe that's, you know, a bracelet set, maybe that's a bag, like whatever you sell. I'm just thinking of things I sell. But if you spend $100, you're going to get a free gift. It's our customer appreciation, it's our subscriber appreciation. And you can just send that out in an email and do a couple quick posts, say Friday, and let it run through Monday, Christmas Day. So you can set up a series of emails that will go out starting Friday and there's no time to ship anything. So this is really for themselves. This also helps you clear some of your inventory for the end of the year, and it lets them know that you appreciate them. So this is the subscriber— customer/subscriber appreciation promo. I'm going to run it over the weekend. And yeah, so it's going to be mostly email. I'll do some posts. I may go live on Friday. We'll see how I'm feeling. And that's something I can run over the weekend when Basically all of our shipping is done, but they can just go shop for what they want in the shop. And at this point they've got their gift giving done. They may have already been to some Christmas parties. They have received cash themselves, some gift cards. This is an opportunity for them to treat themselves to something. And really, honestly, it's for you to show your appreciation. I want you to genuinely show your appreciation for your customer base. And I need it to be heartfelt. This would be a great post with a picture of you. This would be a great email with the picture of you just really expressing your appreciation for all the customers, all the subscribers that have supported your small business this year. So that's promo number 2. Okay. Promo number 3. And this is interesting because last week I was chatting with my Scale Your Box members. We were talking about some kind of end-of-year review. We were just reviewing some things for the end of the year last week, and I asked them what months out of the year— what, what was their first and second highest months of the year last year? And it was really interesting to see, um, their responses, and they weren't all November and December. And so when I started to look at my information, I saw that January was my second highest month next to December by only a couple thousand. And I started to look at what I was— what I did last January. I pulled sales report in Shopify and that showed me my top products. And I realized that last year I dropped a new collection before year end. So this is promotion number 3. Before the year ends, I want you to drop your next collection. So drop something new, okay? For me, it was my Valentine's collection. Um, I dropped it on December 28th last year, and within 2 days I had sold $10,000 worth of Valentine's sweatshirts. And that, that, that was part of my December sales. That was part of my end of year sales for 2022. But what happened is it propelled me into January with this brand new collection before people were even dropping new things. So people were so exhausted from the holidays, they were checked out while I was dropping new stuff. So people were shopping. You know, it's like after Christmas, people are putting away all their holiday attire. They're putting away all of their, you know, fun Christmas wear. So for me, I've got something brand new for them, and everybody else was asleep. Everybody else was asleep at the wheel. Um, they were exhausted. So I want you to think about it this week because all the shipping is done, hopefully. I want you to think about what is the next new thing that you're going to drop? What's the next new collection? What pairs with your January box that you can go ahead and get out there before the end of the month. I want you to drop your new collection before the end of the month. And that propelled me to have a solid January because I gained momentum at the end of the month that took me through the holidays. So while people are doing Christmas, people are doing New Year's, and people aren't really getting back in the game, you're already in the game and it's working for you without you having to work. I'm taking time off. I'm taking a week off starting Friday, um, but if I prep this now, when I come back in a week, I'm going to be ready to drop it and ready to start sailing. And I'm gonna sell— not sailing, I'm not going sailing— selling. I'm ready to start selling. Um, I'm gonna come out of the gate strong when I come back on the 28th. And so that's what I want you to think about. What's the next collection? What's the next What's the next thing? People are ready for it. So those are the 3 promotions that I want you to think about. And today I sent this— I sent a text and I don't— I still haven't gotten it, but I sent a text out to everyone today. But if you want to show up every Monday with me and get the text reminders, I will text you on Monday mornings before I go live to give you the Monday Momentum. So if you're not on that text list to get them If you're not getting texts from me every Monday morning when I go live and you'd like to, go ahead and text me the word Monday to my number here. I did text everyone this morning because I need everyone to really be thinking about pushing through the next couple of weeks and finishing our year strong. But I want to make sure that you're not sitting back on your heels on this. I want to— you're just now getting the text. Dang. Okay. I want to make sure that you're locked and loaded, that you're ready for this week, next week, and beyond, and that we're taking the momentum that we've gained in the fourth quarter into the new year. Okay, so let's make sure to lock and load. 3 promotions. We can do mystery boxes this week. We can do a customer or subscriber appreciation promo over the weekend, and we can drop a new collection before we finish out the year. So if you're just now getting the text, if you're just now joining us, go back, watch this live. Let's get locked and loaded. Let's finish strong. I'm really proud of you. I'm really, really proud of all of you. Um, we've gone through some really heavy stuff this year, and you've pushed through, and you've persevered, and I just want you to finish it out strong. All right, let's go. I'll see you guys later. Bye, guys.
