Good morning, everybody. Happy Monday. Today we're going to talk about 5 revenue-generating activities that you can implement in your business right now. They're easy, they're quick. I'm going to walk you through them, but I want you to be thinking about how we can be generating revenue in our business this month and next month. We've been talking about it for weeks, and I'm going to give you some action steps that you can take to really implement these things in your business. So it's not just talk, talk, talk. We're going to talk about making sales. I'm going to help you implement some of the things that we've been talking about. We're going to do it in the next 20 minutes here live with me today. So if you're watching, let me know that you're here. Also, if you are not on our text list and you would like to get a text every Monday morning when I go live, all you have to do is text me the word Monday to my text number right here. It's 940- 204-0023. And what that will do is it'll put you on my little Monday Momentum texting list, and I send out a quick text right before I go live on the Monday mornings that I'm live, and so that you have opportunity to grab your coffee and come join me live. Coffee, tea, Diet Coke, whatever your drink of choice is on a Monday morning. But all you need to do to get on that text list is just to text me Monday, and then I would love to come over and say hi to you. And then we're going to jump right in this morning. Right into it. I see Susie's here. Good morning, Susie. Hey, Andrea. I call this my Monday morning crew. Like, you're here every Monday morning. I get to see your faces. We've got a little hiccup with Facebook right now and StreamYard, so I can't see you on Facebook today. And it's just, there's a glitch, and StreamYard let me know they're having a little glitch. So happy Monday to everybody that's over on Facebook. If you're on YouTube, I can see your name. I can see Debbie here. I can see Chris. But if you're on Facebook today, you're just, you're just a Facebook user today. So good morning, everybody. It's good to see you here. Again, here's the text number. I'm going to take this banner right off the screen here. Jocelyn said— Jocelyn's in the house. She wants me to know that it's her in the chat. Good morning, Jocelyn. Hey, Diane. Hey, Christina. Hey, Cameron. Good morning, everybody. Okay, let's dig into this because I put together really 5 simple 5 revenue-generating activities that you can implement right now in your business. But what I want to talk about first before we get into those 5 things are your goals. Have you set sales goals for the month? And I was thinking about this because last week we were sitting at lunch here at the warehouse and we were talking about the promos that we have coming up. And my team is very aware of all the promos that are coming up. We have them on the team calendar. They know what's coming up. But what I realized in that moment is that they didn't know my sales goals. I hadn't shared that with them. I had these goals in my head of where I needed to be by the end of the month, and I hadn't shared that with them, so they didn't understand why we were pushing all these promos, because I'm trying to make a revenue goal this month. And once I shared that with them, it almost felt like I was transferring this weight, this burden that I had that we had to get somewhere in sales this month, particularly because I'm a little bit down for the year and I don't wanna end the year down. But it was like I was holding all of the stress of that number inside and I didn't share that with my team. My team that gets the orders out, my team that helps the customers when they come in, my team that's dealing with customer service online, my team that answers social media questions. I didn't share that with them And I guess I was just keeping that burden to myself. So here's the thing, if you haven't set a goal for November, I want you right after this live to take 10, 15 minutes, sit down and set yourself a goal, okay? Do the same thing for December. And really when I look at a goal, is I wanna look at where I'm trending for the year, okay? So I wanna pull up my year-to-date sales, am I up or am I down? And then if, Like, I'm down for the year, a small percentage, but I don't want to end my year down, okay? So I want to either break even or I want to be increased. If you're looking at your year and you've had a heck of a year and you've been up all year, are you trending up 20% each month? So let's push that to 25% for November, okay? So I want you to see where you're trending for the year, and then I want you to make a goal for what you're going to do in sales for November, and I want you to do the same thing for December. And I want that to be visible. I want you to put it on a whiteboard. I want you to put it on a Post-it note. I want you to tell your team. If you are a solo entrepreneur, you just put it in front of yourself so that every day that you log on to your computer or whatever you're doing for the day, you see that number. Because we know, we know what we focus on grows. So we're in the midst of doing all the things right now. We're packing, we're shipping, we're getting ready for our marketing promotions, all of the things. But what— why are we doing that? I want you to bring back to the why. Why? Because we need to make sales. And if I can make that goal really relevant to me every day, I wake up thinking, how can I get closer to that number? How can I get closer to that November number? And if we can have that in the forefront of our mind, we're gonna wake up every day and try to go get sales, right? And that's what we need to do over the next 45 days. So set your goals, and then I'm gonna help you with 5 things that you can do to generate some extra revenue to get to those goals. All right, are you with me? Who has— just in the chat, put, I have goal, or I have a goal, or I need to set a goal. Have or need, just tell me in the chat. And there's no judgments if you have not set your goal for November. It's okay. Sometimes we get so So just caught up in the day-to-day, like just getting through the day sometimes is a struggle, and I get that. But if you need to set a goal, let's just proclaim that right now that we're going to do that today. And it doesn't take long. We just have to look at the data. Okay, so if you've been in business more than a year, I'm going to tell you to go back and look at November sales from last year. That's one thing you can do. And also that's helpful because I was looking at what I was selling last year, and then I can also adjust what I'm selling this year. Then you can look at year to date and see where you're trending. If you've not been in business for a year at this point, just if it's 6 months, if it's 3 months, if it's 4 months, look at the last 4 months and see how you're trending and set that goal. Okay, wherever you're at, set a goal. We have— whoever this is, again, I can't see your Facebook users today, but I have goals, like we have goals. I want you to have a goal no matter what, how big or how small that is. We need to be working towards something that also makes us feel good, right? Sometimes we get in this hamster wheel of just working, working, working. I got to do this. I got to do this. I got to do this because Sarah says I got to do this. But we don't know why we're doing it. So sometimes it feels empty. I want you to really feel where we need— where you want to be at the end of November. And if we don't make that, what are we going to do differently going into December? Okay. And if we make that, how can we build on the momentum to make December even greater? So we need to have a sales goal this month. All right. So let's talk about 5 ways that we can make those sales. Okay. I've talked about this a lot. So you might be sick of hearing me say this, but number 1 is having those limited time gift bundles. Y'all, I'm telling you, There's no better way to sell some stuff right now than putting some product together into a bundle and making it giftable. But here's the thing that we need to do. We need to create some urgency with that. We need to create some urgency with a timeframe. Now, you can do this with existing product. You can also do this with new product. You're going to see from me this week, I have a new bundle that I'm putting together. It's not called a bundle, but it's called the Christmas Swag. Mystery bag. And basically I've put a t-shirt, a sweatshirt, and an accessory together, and I've created this kind of limited time, limited edition. It's a Christmas bundle. I sell the heck out of t-shirts. I sell the heck out of sweatshirts. I sell accessories every time I turn around. So I created a whole new bundle to sell during my Better Than Black Friday promotion this weekend. So sell the old stuff. With bundles, create some new stuff. Rebecca, it does, it rhymes. Christmas swag mystery bag. Now if I could say that 10 times, we'll be in good shape. But we've gotta create some urgency. So they're only gonna be able to get this bag until I sell out. So I've created urgency that I'm selling it during my Better Than Black Friday sale. I've also created urgency that I have a limited number and once they're gone, they're gone. I'm not gonna keep making them. So we've got to create urgency with our limited time gift bundles. So number one, put some gift bundles together, whether that's new product or old product or a mixture of new product and old product. Put them together and let's start selling them. Number two, I need you to be thinking about upsells on everything that you're selling. Upsells and cross-sells. For instance, I was sending out an email yesterday and I mentioned a one of our Christmas raglan t-shirts. Immediately I'm thinking about the upsell on that, and that's the cardigan that matches. So there's a couple ways that we can do this. We always want to promote an upsell with an item. So on social media, don't just wear the t-shirt, wear the t-shirt and earrings. Don't just have the t-shirt, have the t-shirt and the cardigan. Have the t-shirt and a purse that goes with it. Think about what you can sell with it, because when people buy gifts, they typically buy more than one thing and put it in a box together. Like when I, you know, buy clothes for my kids, I'm not just buying them a sweatshirt. I'm buying them a sweatshirt and maybe the, maybe the socks, maybe the, maybe the t-shirt that matches. Like, find an item that goes with whatever you're selling and let's make sure that we put it in front of them. We can put it in front of them in socials. We can put it in front of them in emails. We can also add an app to our website, an app or a plugin that will promote an upsell with it. So I have an app on Shopify. And I wish I would have looked that up to tell you what it is, but I don't know what it is. But basically, I'm thinking about what it is, but it's an app that I can— when you go look at this Oh Christmas Tree Raglan shirt that I'm talking about, you can see at the bottom it's going to suggest you the cardigan. Okay, so you can add that and you can add both to cart with one click. So think about an upsell program, an app, a plugin, whatever site you have on where you can automatically suggest something to go with your products. That is going to increase your AOV, that's going to increase the— your revenue for the month. Um, so yeah, if you have an app and you know what it's called, or a plugin, type it in the chat for me today because I'll have to go back and look at that. But that's so easy. We just go in and manually add what we want to put with it, and then it's like, I'm buying the shirt for Sally. Oh, these earrings are real cute, Sally will love those too. And then I can just click that button and get the shirt and and the earrings that go with it. And I don't have to think about it and I don't have to stress about it because guess what? I'm not going to go surfing through your website looking for earrings to match this. But if you tell me they match it, I'm more likely to click that button and check out. So I've just increased my revenue by $18 on that sale because they— I had earrings that match that shirt. So we've got to think about upsells and cross-sells and get them on your website. And then we got to promote them on social media and through our emails that these things go together. It was no shock that the best 2 selling items out of my holiday shop, my holiday drop last week, went together. It was the shirt and the cardigan that matched, and those were my best-selling items because we made it available for them to pair together very, very easy, okay? Now, number 3, I want you to have a live shopping event. And don't get crazy with this, it doesn't have to be anything wild. You can just, you know, you can just show up and sell some things like I do twice a week on my lives, Or you can actually pull orders and say, okay, I've got this order from Susan from New Jersey. Susan got a t-shirt and she got this sweatshirt. I've done this before and it's crazy. And I roll my little cart through my warehouse and I have my little phone stand on my cart. So you're just rolling with me and I'm picking orders as they're coming through. And so people love to see what they've ordered be packed in an order. And so you could either just show up live and walk through your warehouse and show, or you're not even, you don't even have to have a warehouse. It could be the spare bedroom of your house. Show the products you have, how they pair as gifts, sell live, or you could start to pick and pack orders and they can shop with you. Like, hey, if you shop right now, I'll pull your order live. And so they're like, oh, that's so fun, let me go buy some stuff. And then I'm like, hey, Cheryl from Kentucky, I've got your order here, let's go pull your order. And so I've done that before, and I've also like given them free gifts. Too. Like, if you shop with me live, I'm gonna add something to your order. And so that was really fun because I would pull their order and print it off. I think I was live for about an hour and a half, and we sold like $5,000 in an hour and a half because people wanted me to pull their order, and then I gave them something free. I'm like, okay, I see that you've got this shirt and this sweatshirt and this bag. Let me give you these earrings because they match exactly. And I gave them a free gift, and they were like, oh my God, I love those earrings! And it was just really fun. But that's just something And you can do it live. So have a live shopping event, especially right now as the holidays are, people are looking for things. You can say, we're gonna do a live shopping, I've got some new gift sets, this one would be perfect for teenagers, this one would be perfect for so-and-so. But you could really do this on a Facebook Live. You just have to kinda get the logistics figured out with how you're gonna pull orders. For me, I had my team here, so they were pulling the orders and bringing to me while I was live and I was in the warehouse pulling them. And then there were so many orders that I couldn't keep up. So they were pulling them, handing me their order, and I would say, okay, here's, you know, Betsy's order from Michigan, and she got this, and I was just showing them, and then I was pulling a free gift for it. I'm like, oh, let me give you this to go with this. And so I needed help because it got so crazy. So just prepare. But I think it would be a really fun thing that's really easy to do. Like, you could do that today. Like, what are y'all doing at 3 o'clock? Like, Stop putting this stuff off. Any of these things you can do right now. And we tell ourselves that I'm not prepared, I'm not ready, I'm scared, I don't know. But if we're not doing them, if we're telling ourselves that I can't do that or I don't know how to do that, we just got to do it. You got to get out of your head and do it. Okay, I'm not going to get ranty on you today. Number 4. Who has a free shipping threshold? Just type free shipping in the chat. I want to see if you have a threshold. Like, if you— like in my shop, if you purchase $100 or more, you get free shipping. And I say that every time I'm live doing a live shopping. And remember, if you spend $100 or more, you get free shipping on your order. So if you don't have a free shipping threshold, That's something that you can implement right now. Again, it's an app, it's a plugin, you put it in, you put your amount, but this gets people to increase their order value very easily. You know, it's girl math. If I spend $20 more, I get free shipping. It's girl math. It's free. Well, I just spent $20 more to get the $6 free shipping, but it's fine because we feel like we're getting value. We feel like we're getting a deal. And so we need a free shipping threshold. So if that's not something you have on your website, that's something we can implement today. Okay. Number 5, it's a big one, so I saved it for, for last. We've talked about it a little bit already, but we've got to have daily and weekly deals and promotions. We have to generate the buzz in our business. We have to generate excitement. Excitement in our business. And that means we have to do something new, fresh, and fun all the time. We have to have an event around something. So my Better Than Black Friday deal launches on Thursday and it's going to go for 6 days and it's a whole thing of these great, amazing deals. But if I just, if I just said, oh, today we have sweaters, $30, it's not going to land as well as I've been building up this Better Than Black Friday sale. Okay, I've been building up all these things. I've been building up this promotion. And remember what I talked about last month? We need to treat every promotion like a mini launch. Okay, so I've got my calendar out and I've mapped out these 6 days of Better Than Black Friday. I've mapped out when I'm going live. I've mapped out how many emails we're sending. I've mapped out our ad plan for this. But we have to treat these deals as something special. I can't just show up and say, hey, $20 bags today, and not have any promotional activity around that, any marketing activity around it. It's gonna fall flat. So we have to have a daily deal, a weekly deal, weekly promotions, any of that kind of thing. We have to generate fun promotions and create the buzz in our own business. Believe it or not, you control your sales. And I know sometimes it doesn't feel like that because you want sales, but sometimes we don't get sales. But you control sales in your business. And the sooner you can realize and just put that in your mind that I have control over the sales in my business, the sooner you're going to get sales. When you tell yourself no one's buying, I can't do this, I don't want to go live, I don't have anything You know, like when you tell yourself you can't, you won't. You won't. It's that negative talk that you talk and tell yourself. It's those lies that you tell yourself in your head all the time. But if you tell yourself, I can do this, I'm in control of my business, I can make sales and I can make them today. And if we wake up every day from now until Christmas Eve and we say, What am I going to do to make sales today? Because I control my business and I can make that happen for my business. If you wake up with that mindset of what am I going to do today to generate revenue, you're going to generate revenue. If you wake up thinking, oh, I have so much to do, I don't even have time to go live or to send an email, you're not going to generate revenue. You're going to be behind the hamster wheel the whole time. That's what we're talking about. So I need you to get your mind right. I need you to get the can-do attitude going. I know we're in the thick of things. I know we're in the weeds. It's the middle of November. I know how you're feeling right now, but I want you to wake up every day and figure out how you can generate more revenue in your business. Who needs more sales in their business right now? Who needs more cash flow in their bank account right now? I do. I got a lot of employees to pay. I got a lot of inventory to pay for. I need that sale. I need those sales. I need to build the momentum now while people have a shopping mindset to propel me to have the best 2025 that I can. If I sit this holiday shopping season out, If I sit back on my heels and say, you know what, I'm tired, I don't want to do this, I don't have it in me, that, you know what, 2025 is going to be the same way. The beginning of 2025 is going to be stalled out because you haven't built any momentum going into the new year. This is our time. It doesn't matter how tired you are right now. I need you to grab some coffee, drink a Red Bull, whatever you need to do, and let's go get it. This is our time. And I've got 5 ways that you— that can help you generate some revenue. So let's make a plan. Let's make a goal and let's start generating revenue in our business. All of us can do this no matter where we're at in our journey. All of us can do this. All right. Y'all have a great day. I'm going to figure out what I'm using. I think that my team has figured out some of it in the chat here. But I will drop it also inside Launch Your Box in a post and we'll pin it to the featured and I'll tell you what I'm using for free shipping, what I'm using for the cross-sell is the Frequently Bought Together app. But I'll get you guys taken care of. We gotta get on this. Stop sitting back and let's move forward. All right, y'all have a great rest of your week. I'll see you soon.
