Welcome back. Happy Friday. We are back with another episode of Friday Fuel, and today we're going to talk about that creative trap that you get yourself into, that one that says, I have too many ideas and I don't know what to do. And so we're going to talk about that today, and I'm going to help you break yourself out of that trap, because one of the biggest reasons that people never launch their subscription box, it really isn't the fear of failure, although people say that a lot. It's too many ideas. You're probably creative. You're probably very passionate. You probably have a note on your phone, a folder full of Canva designs, or 5 box names already in your head. And instead of help— that helping you move forward, it's actually keeping you stuck because you're afraid to pick the wrong one. You're afraid it won't be perfect. And that's what's keeping you on the sidelines of building your business. So let me say this clearly. You do not need the perfect idea. You need a starting point. And when you're overwhelmed with too many options, like you need a filter to run that through, not another brainstorming sessions more ideas, you need some filter to run your ideas through to help you get clarity on what you need to do. And clarity is one of the things we're going to talk about. So here is my 3 C's. It's a framework that's going to help you narrow down your ideas. Okay. So if you're a note taker, grab some notes. This is what we're going to do. So number 1, you've got to get customer clarity, like who is this box for exactly? Can you picture her? What does she care about? What's going on in her life? What lights her up or drives her crazy? If you can't clearly define the customer for this box, it's not the one and you need to move on. That is the very first thing. We've got to get customer clarity. Number 2 is consistency. Can you create this box month after month after month and still feel excited about it? Can you source the products easily and deliver the same experience over time? If that feels too complicated or that feels like you're going to get sick of it or burn you out, you need to skip it. Can I build a box with consistency? You're building a subscription, not a one-time box. So we have to have longevity with it. So I want you to think about that. Can I be consistent with this idea? And then number 3 is connection. So this one's about you. Which idea are you most connected to? You're going to be talking about this box all the time, day after day, week after week, month after month. You're going to be doing marketing. You're going to be writing emails. You're going to be designing and working on products for it. So which idea do you want to build a brand around? And what idea gets you the most excited and has longevity? The excitement you feel about the box is going to give you longevity. So we need to make sure that we take these 3 C's seriously. Customer clarity. Are we super clear on who it's for? The consistency. Can I do this over and over and over again? And the connection. Am I most connected to this idea? Now we get in this trap of trying to combine them all, right? So like, let me give you this warning. And because this is where people get stuck, you start telling yourself, well, maybe I could just combine these ideas. This one feels more profitable, but this one feels more fun. And then the what-ifs start to happen. Like, what if I choose the wrong idea? What if I choose the wrong way to go and I regret it? That's the fear. That's the fear that's talking to you right now when you do that. That's perfectionism pretending to be your strategy. But don't let it trick you, because the truth is you're not committing forever. You're just choosing on where you want to start right now. Okay, so that's what we have to do. We have to start right now. You have to pick one idea using those 3 Cs, customer, consistency, and connection. And then you need to start to build out the plan because once you've chosen your box concept, all you need to think about is then what am I going to put in it? If you could build out your first 3 to 6 months and lay that out and see what that looks like for you, that's going to help you move forward. Think about how do you keep your customer excited month after month? And I do have a way to help you do that. I have created a free workshop. It's called the Six in Sixty Workshop, and I walk you through how to, one, clarify your ideal customer, because that's where we get stuck sometimes. We have this broad ideal customer like, I want to have a box for women. Okay, what kind of woman? That's what we need to really dig down and we need to niche down. And I help you do that in this workshop. I also help you curate 6 months of boxes in 60 minutes. So we're going to go through this process that I use every single time I create my subscription boxes. And so if you can go through this workshop with me and you can say, okay, I have more clarity about my ideal customer, I have more clarity about what I'm going to put into the box. Now this is your plan. You know that, okay, I've got this figured out. And now all I have to do is take the next steps. But I don't want you to go into that workshop thinking about 3 different subscription boxes. We're going to— we need to get that clarity before you do the work to plan this out. So let's go back and talk about that for just a second. Who is that box for? What does she care about? What's going on in her life? Is this something that I could be consistent with and feel excited about month after month? Do I feel connected to this? Because what I see from our group is that people that pick a niche that they think is easy, but they're not connected to it and they fall off very quickly. So I want you to be connected to it because it's going to help you in so many ways. So you can go take my workshop anytime. It's 6, the number 6 in 60 workshop dot com. So the numbers are actually numbers. So it's 6in60workshop.com. You can register for free. You can take— you can do it anytime you want to. And let's do this together because honestly, you don't need to be more ready to start your subscription box. You just need to decide. And when you take action, it's going to create the clarity that you need. And also, I want you to understand that you're not locked into anything. Don't feel like this is such a big decision that you're afraid to make the wrong one. You need to choose the idea that's right for you right now and start building momentum. You've got the ideas. Now it's time to choose one and build something amazing with it.
