Okay, we're gonna take two. We're gonna try this again. I switched over to my phone hotspot. The hotel Wi-Fi is just not cutting it today, and that could be a problem. So today we're going to talk about weekly emails to send for your subscription box business. So I hope that you can come find me over here. I started another stream, but here's the situation. I am in New Orleans this week. You can see I'm at my hotel and And I did a lot of things before I left town, and one of those was a subscription box reveal. So I took my January subscription box and I did my box reveal live the same way that I asked you guys to do it every single month. I did my live and, um, I turned that into an email. And that got me thinking as I was writing this email how I could set up an email every single week for my subscription box. And I want to talk to you about that today because I've got some ideas. Let me know how the stream is over here today because I'm a little nervous about my Wi-Fi connection. Let me say hi in the chat. I would love to say hi to you. You know, hotel problems. You always have to like think on the go when you're not in your original setting, like at home. I know everything's gonna work, everything's gonna be fine. Um, at the warehouse, I know everything's gonna be fine. You just don't know when you're out of your element, right? So I've got my, um, terrible hotel coffee, and it's not Community Coffee. Community Coffee is not terrible. It's just I don't have my coffee, I don't have my creamer, I don't have my Splenda. And so it just— I'm choking it down because I have to have coffee to survive. But after this live, I'm gonna go get some real coffee somewhere. I'm gonna walk around, um, and see if I can find a cafe this morning that has some real coffee. But hotel coffee is not where it's at, y'all. But because I am addicted, I have to have something to get my morning going. Okay, everyone's saying the connection is better, you look better, you sound better. Okay, fabulous. Thank you, guys. Um, oh, that's not good. Okay, so today we're going to talk about, um— I do need good coffee, Tabitha. This is not going to work out for me today. I got a lot of things to do today while I'm in New Orleans, and so I'm gonna need some good coffee. Good morning over on YouTube. I can see you guys over on YouTube. Good morning, Myra. Good morning, Marilyn. Hey, Stephanie, happy Monday. Good morning, Tara. Good morning, everybody. Good morning, Kelly. Good morning, Jamie. Good morning, Cindy from Waco. Good morning, April. Okay, looks like things are rolling now. We're just gonna stick with the hotspot. It seems to be much better. Good morning, Deborah. Good morning, Michonne. Okay, so here's what I did. I did my box opening on Saturday night and I feel like what we're talking about today— do you guys remember a few weeks ago I did a Monday Momentum and it was called 5 Healthy Habits for Your Subscription Box Business? And if you haven't watched that, team, will you drop my YouTube link for them to go watch that particular episode? I want you to watch this episode because We're going to talk about these 5 healthy habits all year long because I want you to build in these healthy habits into your business all, all year long. They're not going to be these one-hit wonders. We're going to try this and we're going to try that and we're going to experiment this year for sure. But these 5 things, I want you to build habits that you get used to doing them in your subscription box business. Over and over and over again. And number 1 on those healthy habits was email marketing. And so as I show up for you and as I serve you, I'm going to help you build these healthy habits into your business this year. So they just feel routine. They just feel like, yep, I got to do that today. Yep, check that off. Yep, I'm done. And it's not this big ordeal that you have to figure out and that you have to do. So today we're going to talk about healthy habit number 1, which is email marketing. And as I was doing my box reveal on Saturday, I sat down to write the email. And in that moment, I typically would do the reveal, I would throw my live in there, I would do a sneak peek, I would put so much in that email. And then I got to thinking, let me slow play this a little bit. Let me drip this out a little bit and see what that does for me, because it's going to give me a little bit more content as the month goes on. And I sent it on Sunday afternoon. And that was actually a really great time for me to send it because I had a really great open rate. I had a really great click rate and I had a really great order rate from that email. And so that told me, OK, Sunday afternoon is a great time to be sending an email. What if I sent a Sunday after— Sunday afternoon email every week? About my subscription box business and in, in what, in different ways. So email number 1 was the box reveal. And let me see if I can share it on my screen this morning. I'm just going to show it to you really quickly so you get a visual, you get an idea of what this email looked like so that you can start to compile this. And this doesn't have to be week 1. Obviously, this was this week that I did this. So these 4 emails, I want you just to line them up to your subscription box business, your timeline. So my boxes went out last week. Most of them have been delivered. I needed to do the box reveal before I left town. It was easy for me to do it on Saturday night. And so, so what I need from you is to figure out which week these fall for you. Okay. Because you don't want to send a box reveal on week 1 when you haven't revealed the box. So that doesn't make sense. So let me pull up this, my email campaign. I'm just going to show you what I sent out. Yesterday. Um, so this is— let me see, make sure you can see that. Okay, so this was my email. Um, I just did a— I took a picture after I did the box reveal. Um, I took a picture of the, um, the box with everything in it. This was after I opened it and everything. So this is the box reveal. I just took that picture for a thumbnail for my video, and then I used it in the email. And if you missed watching me live, you could click here and go, or you can click my picture and it's going to take you over to watch the live. Then I did an unboxing in copy, so I just did the, the things for my box in copy. And you can see that I put some bold font on the actual items as I'm describing why I picked them and how to use them. Then I have another picture that's my actual box reveal that we use on social media so they can see the whole box and they can see things individually as well. Now, in this section, I put some of the items that I had left for sale. And this one email, it hasn't even been 24 hours, has generated over $1,000 in sales from the items that I, I put in here. So I put a couple of the items that I had extras of, and then I also put some items that you could pair with your box. So these, these cardigans weren't in the box, but they go great with the t-shirt that was in the box. So I put these items in here, and then of course I let them know that they could sign up for the Monogram Box and never miss another box. So this was my email, um, that I sent on Sunday. Okay, and so I had a 43% open rate, I had a 2.2% click rate, and I generated about $1,000 in sales and individual sales, and I also got several new subscribers from that one email. Okay, so this is why I'm telling you this, because we're going to build habits into our business, and one of those habits is going to be a weekly subscription box email. Okay, so if this is my email for this week, what can I do next Sunday? Okay, so next Sunday, I thought instead of putting the sneak peek in here— now I showed them live, um, and we'll probably post it on social media— but next Sunday I'm gonna do a box, the February box sneak peek. So week 2 could be a sneak peek. Now I always do a sneak peek for the box and I reveal the t-shirt club. I show them the t-shirt club. So next week's going to be the reveal of the t-shirt club and the box sneak peek, and I'm gonna promote Signing up for my subscription box because I do have box openings right now. If I was— if I didn't have any openings, I would promote my waitlist. The call to action would be to join the waitlist. But right now the call to action is to sign up. Okay. Because I want to get them in for February. So that's going to be the next email. I'm going to do a sneak peek. I'm going to do the t-shirt reveal. I'm going to put that in an email, going to go out next Sunday. Okay? So then week 3, the next Sunday email, I am going to use what we put in our blog. We talk about, like you can see I have cardigans with it. We do flat lays to style our subscription. I want the email number 3 to be how to use the items in your box, how to style, for me, how to style the items in your box. But I want us to show them how to get it out of the box and consume it. Consuming the contents of our subscription boxes is one of the things that we have to push. We can't let them keep it in their box and let it sit there until the next one arrives, because we know that those will start to stack up and people will say, I'm not using these things, I need to cancel, I'm wasting my money. So week 3 is going to be how to consume the contents of your box. Okay, this could be— there's a sweatshirt in there. I could have the sweatshirt on. There's also a s'mores dip in my box, and I could have the package of cream cheese and the package of Cool Whip that I need to make that and be making it for week 3 and be talking about how I could use this dip for my Super Bowl party. Okay, get them to grab the dip out of the box and consume it. Hey, add a block of cream cheese and a container of Cool Whip to your grocery pickup list this week and and make this and some graham crackers and make this s'mores dip for your Super Bowl party. They're going to go get it out of the box. They're going to consume it and they're going to feel good about their purchase. What I'm wearing while I'm wearing the sweatshirt and I might have a drink sitting there in my glass tumbler that was in that box too. Okay, so how do we get them to consume our boxes from the t-shirt? How do you— I could do a style guide. These are 3 cardigans that look great with your t-shirt. You can wear it with a flannel, you can wear it with a puffer vest, you can wear it with this. And all those things, all those things are also sold in my shop. So not only am I promoting my subscription box, but again, I'm also saying, hey subscribers, I've got things to layer with your t-shirt club this month. So I want you to think about that for email number 3. Diane says, oh, that's a good idea. I have people that say they have too much soap, so they pause. Okay, so how can we get them to pull it out. Hey, are you going to someone's house for a Super Bowl party? Grab 2 of your bars of soap, put a little ribbon around them, and take them as a gift to the Super Bowl party with your cheese dip. Okay, like, people are gonna be washing their hands at Super Bowl party. I hope they're gonna be washing their hands. You could have— you could put them in their bathroom, a little gift for a party or something like that. But whatever the occasion is, Valentine's Day is coming. I've got some of these boxes left over that are perfect Valentine's gifts. I could do a whole email about how you could buy a one-time box for Valentine's Day. That could be an email as well. So I want you to think about ways that you can promote your box, set a day of the week and send an email. And then I wrote down week 4 to do a behind the scenes of your subscription box. So on week 4, I can schedule an email and I could schedule all of these right now because I have the box reveal. I have the sneak peek, I have the style guide already made, and we do behind the scenes photos every week for our social media. So I could literally sit down right here today and schedule 4 weeks of subscription box emails for my month. And the best thing to do is rinse and repeat that for next month. I'm going to have another box. I'm going to have another box reveal. I'm going to have another sneak peek. I'm going to have another way to consume the box and I'm going to have another set of behind the scenes. So I can literally rinse and repeat this every single month once I get that habit. And behind the scenes could be our boxes arrived today. Like we had a delivery, we had several pallets of boxes. I could do a picture of the pallets being brought off that truck and rolled into the warehouse. I could do a picture of us packing the boxes. I could do a picture of us monogramming the sweatshirts that they got for this particular box. I could do so many behind the scenes pictures on this one box. Just pick a couple. Don't fill their email with it, but you could do something different every single month on whatever you're working on for behind the scenes. This, this is 4 emails that you can rinse and repeat every single month. You're going to build a healthy habit into not only your email marketing, But promoting your subscription box by talking about it in different ways, creating that habit of just writing the email, and you can literally sit there and do it once a month, all 4 emails, pick a day that you want to send them out and you'll have them already ready to go. And I sent these to my entire list. So I sent them to my entire email list. I sent the one yesterday. I'm going to send these to my entire list. Okay. Every single week they're going to hear about my subscription box. Once a week via email every single week. And then you can also use these as social media content for the week that you're sending them. I can take these behind the scenes and use them that week on my social media as I'm scheduling that out. There was a great question up here. I'm going to come back to it. It says, as a quarterly box, do you have any other suggestions for weekly emails, or would you space these out every other week? If I was quarterly, I would space them out every other week. And you're probably gonna need to build in a couple more because you've got 12 weeks in there. So you're gonna need 6 emails, right? So let's just brainstorm this. So I'm gonna do the box reveal. I would do the sneak peek just like number 2. You can do how to consume the box. I think you could do 2 of these. Okay, so this is where you could do 2 of these and you could space them out on different weeks. But How to consume the box maybe in different ways. So like I was talking about my s'mores dip that was in my box, that could be one, about one email. And then I could do another email on how to layer the t-shirt and that. So that would be two different emails that I could do on consuming the contents. Then you can do a behind the scenes. You could do a couple and prepping your boxes for that quarter. You could also do like a throwback. Email if you wanted to in this set. Like, throwback to, you know, summer of 2022. This was our favorite box. I'm still using this item. Maybe you're using this item currently. Like, I have a bag here from one of our— I think it's April 2021 box. I travel with it all the time. It's one of my favorite. It's a pink leopard bag that I travel with all the time, but it was in our April 2021 box. And I could just do like a quick, hey, I'm off to New Orleans. This is a connection email, right? So this is a way for us to connect with our audience. I'm off to New Orleans this week. I've got my favorite travel bag from the Monogram Box of April 2021. You know, look how much stuff I— and I've got a blanket from one of the boxes in there. I've got all kinds of stuff. I got a zipper pouch from a different box in there. So as you're using the items from your subscription box, you could do a whole email like and call it like a throwback or something like that. So I think you could brainstorm a lot of different emails, um, so that you could come up with 6 and then send them every other week when you're doing a quarterly box. All right, so I hope that helps. Um, I hope that gives you a healthy habit to continue to work on Growing your subscription box business this year. We're going to, we're going to work on that. We're going to build these healthy habits. Email marketing is so powerful. You hear me talk about it all the time because it works. Like, literally one email that took me 30 minutes to put together generated $1,000 for me in less than 24 hours, and I got several new subscribers from it. So don't sleep on it. Don't think that you're not ready to do this. And you may not have a list as big as mine. You may not have as many subscribers, but what if you got 2 new subscribers? What if you got $300 in sales? What if you got one purchase from that email that you didn't have before you sent that email? That's what I'm talking about. We have to build momentum with our business and we have to be consistent with what we do. And that's why I call these healthy habits, because if we can really just make a plan and implement a plan We're creating a habit. I think there's this saying that you have to do something 16 times to make it a habit. If you could do this for 4 months, you could really just create a habit where this is— I mean, you're going to do this for 2 or 3 months and this is going to be a habit. Now you have the playbook. Now you have the outline, you have the blueprint of what you need to do. All you have to do is go implement it. Okay. So I want you to think about that. Email marketing is our ATM machine. We put our code in, money comes out every time. And if we can build a healthy habit around it, you're going to start to see consistency. Not only are you being consistent with sending your email marketing messages, but you're going to see consistent sales from, from your email. All right, so let's go get to work. I want you to brainstorm. Let's plan a day of the week that we're going to send subscription box emails out every single week. Let's go set up one or two of these so we can have them for this week and next week. And then let's make a plan to do this every week going forward. Or if you're quarterly, let's do it biweekly. Okay, we've got this easy peasy. All right. I'm going to go hang out. I'm with my mentor this week, Stu McLaren. I have been in his mastermind. I think this is my 6th year to be in his mastermind. So that's what I'm in New Orleans for. This week, and there are so many incredible entrepreneurs here that have been in his mastermind for years that I have relationships with that I can't wait to see. And there, there are 9 new people in our mastermind. Um, some of them are incredible business owners. I cannot wait to meet all of them. So I'm gonna just be soaking up— I love being in a setting like this because it inspires me and it motivates me, and I always learn something new, and I always look at different perspectives of the way different people, high-level people, run their businesses, even if their business is different than mine, because a lot of these businesses are not, are not e-commerce businesses. Um, but I always look at the way they do things and I think about how I can apply it to my business. And so that's what I'm going to be doing. I'm gonna be like a little sponge this week, soaking up knowledge, being inspired, being motivated. I think we need that in our businesses, and I hope that that's what I bring to you every Monday when I'm live, just a little bit of inspiration, a little bit of motivation to help you figure out what we need to do. And of course, I need you to implement it. We can't just sit and learn and learn and learn. We have to implement, make progress, and grow our businesses. That's what we're here for. So go implement, and I'll see you guys later. Have a great week.
