When You’re Unsure What’s Next, But You Know You Can’t Stay Where You Are

In this live motivational session, Sarah Williams greets her audience, engages with viewers across multiple platforms, and introduces the theme of feeling stuck while knowing you must move forward. She uses a cliff‑and‑harness metaphor to illustrate the fear of taking the leap into a subscription‑box business. Sarah shares her own year‑long hesitation, detailing how fear of judgment, uncertainty about technology, and financial worries kept her from launching. A pivotal conversation with her web developer gave her the technical “cables” she needed, prompting her to finally launch. She describes the uncomfortable moments of self‑doubt that accompany any new venture and emphasizes that waiting for the perfect time never arrives. Sarah then shifts to encouraging the audience: she outlines the benefits of joining her Launch Your Box community, highlights success stories from members (e.g., paying college tuition, gaining freedom), and invites viewers to imagine their own future success in three to six months. She repeatedly calls for concrete next steps—joining the program, using the training library, finding accountability partners, building a waitlist—and offers her support as a “cable” to help them jump. The session ends with a strong call to action to stop waiting, take the next right step, and join the community before the final day of her launch.

Good morning, good morning! Happy Monday! Excited to be back live with you again this Monday, and we're talking about a topic that I think a lot of you can relate to. And so, um, let's just get the chat started. If you're watching, let me know that you're here. I'd love to know where you're watching from this morning. I always love to see, um, where, where my reach is, right? Like what I'm— where my reach is. I'm going to pull up the group here on my laptop so I can see comments there. Um, but let me know where you're watching from. I would love to say hi. Hi Wanda! Hi Deborah! Good to see you. Hey Christina! Good morning Myra! Good morning everybody! Good to see everybody. Uh, good morning Karen! Good morning! Good to see to see you. Um, Sierra says she's in Kentucky. Good morning. Deborah's down the street. Deborah, just come have coffee, coffee with me this morning. Marley's here from Magnolia, Texas. Um, Karen's here from Canada. Um, good morning everybody. Um, let me make sure I've got, I've got the— here, here's what, here's what's happening right now. I've got the group right here. So this is, uh, the last day that I'll be live in Subscription Box Week. So I've got the group live down here. I've got YouTube right here. I've got Facebook right here. I'm in all the places this morning. So it's good morning. Nicole says it's good morning from chilly Idaho. I bet it is. It's still 90s here. Like, we're expecting a cool front, and so it's going to cool down to like 85 this weekend. So I'm looking forward to that as well. So let's get— let's, let's start talking. I titled this Facebook Live when you're unsure what's next, but you know you can't stay where you are. I'm going to say that one more time, and then I want you to let me know if— just say, 'That's me,' in the chat. When you're unsure what's next, but you know you can't stay where you are. Um, I just want you to think about that for a little bit because I was answering a lot of questions over the weekend from Subscription Box Week, and I got this overwhelming sense of people feeling that way. And then I start thinking about our members inside Launch Your Box, and I know some of you feel that way sometimes too. And so I just, I want you to think about, like, I'm just a visual person. If you don't know that with me by now, like, you should know that. I feel like it's if you're standing on an edge of a cliff, right? You're strapped in, you got your harness, you need to jump, everything's secure for you to jump, you have everything that you need to actually take the jump, but you won't, you won't step out over the canyon because there's fear, there's something holding you back. But if you turn around and you walk right back from where you came, you're going back to the same life, you're going back to the same circumstances, you're going back to what you already know, what you feel comfortable doing. And so this vision of you standing on the edge of this cliff, deciding whether to jump or to turn around and just do things that you know how to do. I feel like there's so many of you standing on the edge of a cliff right now, and there's something holding you back from jumping. It could be the unknown, right? That holds us back so long. The unknown. The what if I jump and my, my cables aren't secure? What if I jump and I don't know if this is gonna stop, right? What if I jump and I don't know what happens next. But what if you turn right back around and you walk back to your car, you get in the same car, and you drive down the same road, and you have the same life? You're here for a reason. You show up here for a reason. It's not, it's not just luck that you're here. There's a reason that you're here. And you took one step, you put the harness on, So what's holding you back from jumping? You know, I held myself back for over a year from launching my subscription box. I would lay in bed at night and I would think about all the cool things that I was going to put in it. I would, I would think, oh, and when I, when I, when I start my subscription box, it's going to be this. When I start my subscription box, it's going to be this. And I would think about the fun parts. The fun parts are packaging and products. And then I would think about the financial part, like if I could get this going, what would that mean for my retail store? Like having the ability to pay the rent, having the ability to pay my employee and not worry about where that's going to come from. And I would just lay in bed at night exhausted at the end of the day thinking about all these things. And I never took the step. I never took the step. And honestly, I don't know that I would have, except one day I just blurted it out. And let me tell you, I told nobody. I told nobody that I wanted to start a subscription box. I held that so close to me because I was afraid of what people would say. I was afraid of people judging what I wanted to do. I was afraid of people shooting down my idea. Until one day I was meeting with my website developer and we were updating my site and there were things on there that I was like, yeah, let's fix this, let's fix this. And we, we spent about an hour talking and we were updating my website for the year and he said, anything else I can do for you? And, and I had no plans of telling anyone and I turned around and said, I want to start a subscription box. And he looked at me, he goes, what do you mean? And I told him the things, thinking he would laugh and, and it would just be one of those things. And he said, well, I can do the back end. I can set it up on your website. If you figure out what goes in it, I can make the tech happen. And that was my pivotal moment. That was my step. But I needed someone to be there to catch me. Right? I wasn't making that step by myself. My web developer was like, I can figure the tech out. Because honestly, that's what was holding me back. The tech part, I didn't know how to set up recurring payments. Remember, I'd never shipped anything on my website. And so that's what I needed to not feel scared, not feel unsure, not— and he pushed me. I'm like, well, how long will this take? I'm thinking it's going to be like 6 months, another year. He said, I can have it for ready for you in another month or two. And I was like, what? Now it's go time, right? And so then there were these other doubts that started to creep in. We're getting ready, have all the things, I'm getting ready to launch the thing. And I remember just sitting there at my desk getting ready to go live, and I was thinking, who am I? To start this? What if nobody joins? What if I fail? And looking back at it, that was the moment that mattered most to me, because in that moment it felt uncomfortable. In that moment it felt unrealistic. But when we get uncomfortable like that, we're on the brink of something challenging, something that's going to change you. If it doesn't feel uncomfortable uncomfortable, it's not going to change you. So if you're feeling uncomfortable, if you're feeling like, who am I? Am I old? Am I too old to do this? Do I know enough to do this? Who am I to be starting a business right now? Who am I to be doing this? That was the moment I decided to start. So if you're sitting there thinking, I'll start when I have more time. You're never going to have more time. I'll start when the kids get older. I'm going to tell you, as they get older, they get busier. I'm going to start when I have more money. That never happens. We never have more time. We never have more money. We never have more knowledge until we take that step. Time rarely comes. We rarely slow down enough. Life doesn't slow down for us. We have to choose to add this into our workload. We have to choose to make time for it. We have to choose to put aside money for it. We have to choose to take this next step. It feels uncomfortable. It feels like you're unworthy. There's all this doubt creeping in, and that's the right space that you need to be in. We're waiting for the perfect moment, and that perfect moment is now. Because here's what happens. I have the cables. So when you take that step into the canyon, I've got you. I have the roadmap. I have built my 7-figure subscription box business from scratch, just like so many of you. I had the doubts. I had so many self-doubts. I know what that feels like. And you know what? Sometimes I continue to have doubts when things don't work the way I should, with it the way I think they should, when I'm showing up and no one's there. I still have those doubts. But you know what, I always take the next right step. Okay, that didn't work. Let's pull back. Let's go back to what I know works. And let's start there and let's restart. So if you're in this and you need to restart, what's the next right step for you? Stepping off that cliff without the support of having those cables is very, very scary and you won't do it. But stepping off that cliff when you have the cables there to support you, when you've got a crowd of people standing around you cheering you on, making sure you won't fail. That's what I'm talking about. There's a lot of doubt when you don't know what to do next. And it's not lazy. It's not unmotivated people. You're protecting yourself from the unknown. But that's where growth happens. Growth happens in the unknown. Growth happens when you feel uncomfortable. That nervous feeling that you get, that's not a sign to pause and to stop. That's not a sign to pull back. That's a sign that you're close to something new. And if you're scared, it means that you care because this matters to you. If you're scared right now, It means this matters to you because it's going to shift something in your life right now. And I don't know what that is for you. You know, we heard success on many different levels this week as I was interviewing some of my students. And sometimes we need out of a job that's just sucking the life out of us. Right? You heard Christy talk about how that was happening with her husband. Sometimes we need finances. Things are so tight, we need a way to make extra income. And you saw that from a lot of different people this week. You, you listen to how Lauren was able to pay for her kids' college tuition from her subscription box all by herself. And how proud that made her, made her feel. We talked about the freedoms with Lexi to go and do and be a part of her kids' everyday activities, from band to sports to paying for all the equipment for that. That's the freedom that this gave her. Imagine you, imagine you 3 to 6 months from now. If you took the map that I gave you, those cables that I'm putting on you before you take the leap, and you knew the way to go, you knew the next right step, imagine 3 months from now. What would change? Imagine 6 months from now. Your box is out there. Your customers are excited. You're finally making money doing something that you love. Imagine being proud of yourself for taking the next right step. Imagine being proud of yourself for creating something from scratch. Momentum comes from baby steps. We got the steps. I can't take them for you. I can help you. I can help you say we're going to go this direction, not this direction. I can help you, but you have to be the one that takes the step. What would change in 6 months from now if you launched your subscription? Tell me in the chat. If you launch your subscription in the next 6 months and you are making an income, whatever that looks like, if that's $10, that's $100, like whatever that looks like, what would change for you? Tell me in the chat. What would it mean for you? What change would it bring for your family if you gave yourself permission to start right now? I can see freedom in the chat from Jamie. Yeah, on freedoms on so many levels. I'm not here to convince you. I just want you to know that if you've been waiting for a sign, this might be it. If this message is hitting home for you and you're feeling that pull, like it's up to me, I came to Subscription Box Week, I joined Launch Your Box at some point, if Launch Your Box members are watching, what is the next step that you know you're supposed to do? You don't have to figure it out alone. You just need to take the next right step on your journey, whatever that is. And it might be joining us in Launch Your Box if you're not in there. It might be digging into the training library and starting at the top again. It might be connecting with people coming into the group right now that you can share this journey on. We We don't have to go alone. Like, find someone to like, hey, let's build our waitlist this week. Get an accountability buddy. Find someone at the same stage as you and work through it together. If you've been waiting for the sign, this might be it. I would love, love, love for you to join us and launch your box. We've got hundreds of new members, and they're getting in there, and they're already starting to do the work. The amount of progress that the new members have made over the weekend is blowing my mind. Whatever the next step looks like for you, just promise yourself You won't wait until it's perfect. You're more ready than you think you are, and that next chapter in your story is around the corner. If you need permission, I'm giving it to you. Let me lend you my courage because we can do it together. I would love to have you join us in Launch Your Box. It's the last day of my launch. But sometimes we just need a reminder that that doubt, that overwhelm feeling that lives inside of us doesn't have to live there forever. And it's your choice today whether you're going to take that foot off into the canyon or you're going to turn around and walk back and get in your car and go back to the same thing you've always been doing. If you're ready for a change, let's do it. All right. Y'all have a great Monday. I'll see you inside LauncherBox.
