Scott Empringham contrasts ROI (return on investment) with COI (cost of inaction), urging creators and businesses to consider how much revenue is being lost by not having well-crafted stories. He notes two types of problems — ones people know they have and ones they don't — and recommends educating audiences and producing niche-specific content with concrete examples to surface both known and unknown problems.

A great thing that I stole from somebody a long time ago was when people are always talking about roi and she's like, but what's the. She says, she goes, what's the, what's. She goes, what's the coi? What's the cost of an activity? She's like, don't just look at the ROI of your return on investment. What's the, what's the coi? What's the cost of an activity? How much money are you leaving on the table by not having a well crafted story? And so the more we can go into each of these niches and create content because sometimes you got, you, you basically, you know, Pat talks about this is there's two types of problems. Problems they know people know they have and problems people don't know they have. And I think a bit of what we do is having to educate a little bit and then the more we can give examples for each. That list of things we just sent you. Yeah, I mean that's something pretty cool. As we, with those videos or whatever to go. Cool. Now create a benefit of a well crafted story for each of these industries, you know. Yeah.
