Short motivational talk (YouTube) by Scott Empringham advising listeners to 'give massive value first' in meetings: show up prepared with creative ideas, offer substantial help (metaphorically 'handing out $100 bills' of value), then confidently request a small return (e.g., '$10'). Emphasis on serving others without immediate expectation, practical actions (marketing ideas, content creation, attitude), and maintaining a surplus of value.

You're going to go out, and next time you go to a meeting, I want you to be thinking. You're handing out $100 bills in knowledge and wisdom. When you go meet Wade, you're going to think creatively how you could serve Wade, not with an idea of getting back. You're going to just come, you're going to drop bombs. You're going to think about his business, give him 10 ways that he can grow his business. Go to this next meeting. Think how you could serve. Whatever meeting you're going to, I want you in your car. Think about how you can serve. You can show up with a better attitude. You can show up with some ideas. You're a marketing person. I want you to have marketing ideas for this person. Maybe it's create some content for this person and just give it to them. And then be thinking about what you could do for $10 so that you're always in a surplus. You're giving more than you're asking for, but you're not afraid to ask for that $10. You're going to give this person $100 worth of value, unmistakable value, and then you'll have a confidence to ask for $10 back.
