A first-person testimony in which the speaker candidly admits to being a poor leader under pressure—becoming judgmental and blaming others during their company’s collapse—then experiencing humility after losing everything. The speaker describes a turning point: falling to their knees, asking for help, embracing faith (baptism), and rebuilding their life one step at a time; faith became the center and reshaped their conduct.

I was probably not the greatest leader. As things turned in my business, the worst of me came out. Not the best of me. When I was squeezed, when the pressure was on with my previous company, some of the worst came out of me. I was not a great leader. When the pressure was on, I was judgmental. Blame my partner for the situation. I blamed, you know, my wife at the time for some things. I blamed everybody but myself. And after I lost everything, I had a good dose of humility, because there's really nobody else to blame, you know, and nobody's going to fix it for you. And I was in a situation where one night I fell to my knees and I said, I give up. I need help. I need to do something different. And I asked for help, and I got it. It led me to get baptized. And I just started, one step at a time, to rebuild my life. And that was the center of my life. And I think that that again, without is my faith, not anybody else's. But that then colored everything that I did, how I conducted myself, how I wanted to conduct myself, and it changed everything.
