I'm reading a great book, the Gap in the Game, and he makes a great point. Typically, children will amplify the mistakes of their father. They copy it. I was making decisions in front of my kids, drinking, knowing that I don't want them to be drinking, particularly young. My dad was a. Was an alcoholic. He was enormously successful. He was sober for a lot of years. And what I noticed was when he made a change in his life, it had a sobering impact on me. It provided stability. It even tell me to change. It just had an impact on me because I saw my dad living differently.
