Scott Empringham recounts a personal moment in Monterrey, Mexico: sitting with his wife and kids in a hotel lobby, listening to an a cappella singer, and being overwhelmed with tears of gratitude. He reflects that having once 'lost it all' made his regained family, health, career success, and financial stability feel profoundly meaningful.

I was in Monterrey, Mexico, with my kids and my wife. I get to this beautiful city and I'm speaking the next day, where's this beautiful hotel? Everything's paid for. And there's a guy singing like, acapella. And we decided to just chill and sit and listen to this guy. I'm in this beautiful lobby. I see my kids sitting next to me, my wife sitting next to me. We're sitting there and I realize I've got lots of cash in the bank contracts with my big car companies again. I'm serving entrepreneurs all over the world. I have everything I always wanted, and my family and my health, all in that moment, I start, like, tears just start flowing down. And we're listening to a song and it's all hitting me, and I'm just feeling all this stuff in my heart and in my soul and in my gut. And my wife looks over and goes, what's the matter? I'm just happy. I'm just so happy. And having lost it all just made the good stuff that much better.
