Here's a piece of advice you probably don't get every day. Be selfish. Be completely, unapologetically selfish today. Ignore your friends, ignore your family, ignore your kids, ignore your boyfriend, your girlfriend, everybody else. And be completely selfish. You ever tried to pour from an empty cup? Nothing to give? Maybe there's a drop. Have you ever tried to get something from somebody who's empty? Somebody who's all poured out? How frustrating is that? When they got nothing to give, there's nothing to give. You get the drops and it sucks. That's you when you're empty. But when you're full and you've taken care of yourself, you got something to give. You got money, energy, health, attention. Take care of yourself. Be selfish so that you can be a giver.
