Short personal narrative in which Michael describes his first small entrepreneurial activities (mowing lawns, washing windows) and later recognizing that his mother was an entrepreneur — a dancer and choreographer who ran a dance studio with “two or three hundred” kids — and connecting her example to his own entrepreneurial instincts.

I would like go to my neighbors and I'd like offer just to do any kind of jobs for them. I would mow their lawn, the normal stuff. And I would wash windows. And I remember my neighbor a couple doors down, she's like, listen, Michael, I need you to wash the windows for me, but I need you to wash them with newspaper because it doesn't leave the street. And so that was my first foray into it. What I didn't realize until later in life is that my mother was actually an entrepreneur. And I never realized that she was a dancer, choreographer. She had two or three hundred kids in her studio in her dance school. And it wasn't until literally five, six years ago that I was like, maybe I got this from watching my mother and everything she used to do to run the business as an entrepreneur and her hard work. And so I told her that eventually, couple years ago, and it was a fun moment.
