In this short, first‑person video, Scott Empringham reflects on his decision to be baptized into the LDS Church five years ago, describing it as the best decision of his life. He draws a parallel between that spiritual step and the entrepreneurial mindset of taking a leap of faith before seeing the outcome, emphasizing the need to commit one small step at a time. Scott acknowledges that the journey can feel lonely, dark, and steep, but he credits his baptism with giving him a sense of not being alone. He concludes by encouraging viewers who are struggling with uphill climbs or darkness to remember that people care about them, love them, and are rooting for them, wishing everyone a great Sunday.

Hey there, I hope everybody's having a great Sunday. I want to take a moment just to say how grateful I am. I'm off to church right now. 5 years ago, I made the decision to get baptized. It was the best decision I ever made. I was, I was so blessed to make that decision and take that one step at a time that just transformed my life. And being an entrepreneur, I was thinking about that too. Oftentimes we're forced to make decisions, to commit to things before we can fully see them. We have to take a leap of faith. We have to take a step of faith. And that's certainly been my journey over the last 5 years. And, uh, The last 5 years has been, as I reflect upon it, it's been one faithful small step at a time that's brought me to a totally different place. And that's entrepreneurship too. That's life in a lot of ways. We have to see things before they're real and take one step at a time. And on that journey, sometimes it could feel very lonely. We can feel like we're carrying a very heavy load. We can feel like it's very dark. We feel like the climb is very steep and all those things are true. But somehow that decision I made 5 years ago has helped me feel not alone. So if you are struggling with an uphill climb, if you're struggling in the darkness right now, just know you're not alone. There's people around there that care about you, people around you that care about you and love you and are rooting you on. And I hope you think about that this Sunday as well, no matter where you are in your journey, that you're not alone, that people do love you, people do care about you, and people are rooting you on. Have a great Sunday.
