A short transcript excerpt from a YouTube video by Scott Empringham in which he and another speaker discuss a personal anecdote (the "Hewlett Packard" story) that taught him not to let fear in his head stop him. The speakers emphasize calling people (coaches, experts) despite likely reasons to be turned down, framing bold outreach as a lesson in courage and action.

What that taught me was, don't let.
That story.
In your head keep you from that thing you want. And I'll never forget.
After that day. I've generally.
Never been afraid of calling somebody. You guys are a perfect example. Like, a normal person wouldn't call the.
Greatest coaches.
In the world and say, would you be willing to come out and imagine.
There'S 10 reasons why you guys are too busy.

And there's a thousand reasons why you'd.
Say no, and really only a couple.
Reasons why you'd say yes.
But I'm still either too young, too foolish, too naive.
Or too courageous to say, well, what if they said yes?
And then call and ask.
You know, but.
And so that was.
That was the Hewlett Packard story.
And just it taught me.
