💡🚀 Three Common Mistakes Fueling Self-Sabotage Among High-Performing Women Entrepreneurs! 🚀💡

YouTube interview (Game Changers) between host Scott Empringham and guest Stacy Bahrenfuss (May 24, 2023). Stacy, a multi-seven-figure entrepreneur and founder of Truth Teachers, describes early entrepreneurial origins (real-estate assistant in high school), a period of achievement-driven numbness, and a multi-year transformational journey (including work with Tony Robbins, Joe Dispenza and trips to India). Core themes: common self-sabotage patterns among high-performing women (numbing social/family life, ‘adding’ vs. ‘subtraction’ mistakes), the role of consciousness/inner state in dissolving imposter syndrome, and practical alignment of intentions/thoughts/emotions/actions. Stacy presents an experiential ‘Wake Up Call’ that bridges cerebral insight with embodied feeling (used to create rapid shifts and certainty), and a six-week program MagnetizeU to help entrepreneurs articulate and embody their messaging; longer one-on-one coaching follows for deeper excavation. Practical takeaways: ask “What do I want?”, align intentions/thoughts/emotions/actions, practice “ridiculous responsibility,” and a two-column exercise (current struggle + feeling → desired change + feeling).

And she's here to share her blueprint to help you navigate your entrepreneurial journey successfully. Welcome, Stacy.
Hi, Scott.
Glad to hear. Hello. Excellent. Now, tell me, where did it all start for you? Give me a. Let's go back to comic book number one, Stacy Baron Fuss. Young Stacy Baron Fuss, just growing up. Where did it all start for you? Where did you first start to become enamored with leadership, entrepreneurship, and what early experiences shaped you?
Yeah, so it started very early where, you know, I was living in this chaotic sort of upbringing, and I was always trying to turn chaos to order and always had this interesting draw to meditation. And my family would also always kind of joke with me, you're voodoo. Voodoo. Whatever you do, there's something, like, weird about you. And I was just always trying to make sense of things, and that led me to just always being really this hungry for more. Right. School was not very interesting, so entrepreneurship, to me was very interesting. I love the idea that there's no ceiling. I love the idea that you could create whatever it was that I wanted to create and not be limited in any way. And so that was, you know, the draw. But it really came from, you know, always wanting more and wanting to have that level of peace, satisfaction, and didn't experience that a lot early on.
I love that. And now walk us through. You told me a great story about a real estate office. You were in a real estate sales office in high school. And tell me about that early experience, the drive, some of the challenges you experienced. Tell us that story.
Yeah, so I was joking around with some friends. I was a senior in high school and really just bored out of my mind. Like I said, joking with some friends said, I'm going to apply as a salesperson at a local real estate office. And they all looked at me like I was crazy, which always fuels me even more. I think as an entrepreneur, you can probably relate to that, right? Where it's like someone tells you you can't do something, you're like, watch me. That was very much my attitude. And so I applied as a salesperson, and they ended up hiring me as one of the assistants to one of the leaders in that sales office. And I just fell in love with the experience, the opportunity to improve the real estate experience from a customer standpoint. And that sort of led me to see a different world that I wasn't exposed to, a world of, you know, again, limitless possibilities. Entrepreneurship, because I didn't come from a family that was a family of entrepreneurs. And so that experience in the office allowed me to, you know, play full out, perform at my best, and see that you were rewarded if you did that, which is the lifeblood of being an entrepreneur now.
And I love that story for a couple of reasons. One, it sort of sets up. The next question is it looked like it was just a straight shot. And yet as I started to learn more about your story during periods of your life when you were younger, like many entrepreneurs and like other, many women entrepreneurs or professionals, tell me about the experience of sort of cutting off emotion and then early sort of beginnings of maybe some self sabotage. And how did that manifest?
Yeah, yeah. And this is something that's so common in women leaders. And, you know, looking back, I'm now so grateful that I have the experience of that struggle so that I could share my experience. But really what, what I started to do was as I achieved, I really threw myself into the achievement by achieving more levels of success, much like an addiction. And so going down that path, I started to turn off or numb parts of myself, like my social life, like, you know, prioritizing family because I was so into succeeding. And what that led to is this mistaken belief or distortion that to become all that I want to become, I have to leave a part of me behind. It's not conscious, right. But the idea is that as leaders, we have to sacrifice something for what, what we're chasing in this moment. And that's something that I had to learn the hard way to unlearn and to remember that that's not the case. I. I don't have to shut off parts of myself, which I did in the past, to enjoy and have everything that I want today. And so it's this idea that, or like I said, distortion that we have to change who we are to become the next level of ourselves, which is not true.
Tim Grover talks in his book about winning, and I just heard him talk recently, and what you just said really resonated. He said, to get to the next level, and I'm paraphrasing, it's a game of subtraction, not addition. The greatest of the great, the Kobe Bryant, some Michael Jordans, didn't add another thing to their plate. They subtracted, maybe a distraction or something they were doing. And what I think I just heard you say is sometimes to get to the next level, you have to leave something behind. Two part question one, can you expand on that concept? Maybe give us examples of how you've done that in your own life, and. And you maybe coach somebody in their life.
Yeah. So one example is. And actually, I want to speak to the point about Tim Grover. I love that, and it resonates so much because it is this idea that we have to add more to win. Right. We have to add more, but really we're already whole and complete. We just, a lot of times, you know, have forgotten a part of that. And so it's sort of a complement, right, to that quote of addition, or, excuse me, subtraction versus addition. So in my own life, an example of a time that that was true for me was this idea of when I started my real estate career. Right. I was very much driven to go all in in achieving these goals. And so I stopped being social. I stopped hanging out with all the people that I hung out with because I had a belief that I have to go all in. And while that's true, right. When you're growing something, it's like you have to give it the attention. You're watering the flower. Right. You're fueling whatever your mission is. But the lie was I have to forego something that I really enjoy to become this next level. And I think that that's, again, true for a lot of us where we think that we're missing something, and that's really the root of it. Right. The core is to become what I am supposed to be. I have to add something versus what if the answer is already inside of me and I just have to learn something, grow. That's different than removing something. Right. Thinking that I'm less than or not whole, not enough to be able to move to the next level.
Can you give me an example of maybe a client you've worked with where he or she could be either one? I know you work with both entrepreneurs, male and male and female. Could you give me an example of somebody where they were maybe stacking things on? And I know that entrepreneurs can relate to this. Adding, adding, adding, where you identified or helped them identify something that they could subtract. And it made a profound difference.
Yeah. So I was talking to someone that was in the pursuit of, like, many of us, all the shiny things. And it was really becoming a distraction to what his core prerogative, his core intention and initiative was. And what we did is we came back to sort of of the root. We came back to, what is it that you want? And that's such a powerful, simple question, but what is it that you want? What is it that you're after? And instead looked at his pricing and his offerings to simplify and go all in on those versus diversifying and being distracted and offering 27 different, smaller items. He was able to come back and really recenter that and go from there. And the results that he saw were tremendous because he was being true to himself. Hmm.
I know from firsthand experience with the wakeup call you and we'll get into some of the. Some of the things that you apply with people you coach. And before we get there, though, I wanted to ask you a little bit about one of the other experiences I thought was really interesting. Tell us about India, your travels to India, how you took from sort of Tony Robbins and Joe Dispenza and these other things. And what did you learn in India, and how did you apply that to what you're doing today?
Yeah. So as far as India, India was a decision to go there after spending a lot of time really in this pursuit of thinking my achievements would make me feel enough, that my achievements would sort of fill this void that I felt inside. No matter how much I achieved, I still felt empty. And so going to India, really, what that helped me learn about and realize was really understanding consciousness and this idea that if we attend to our own inner state, if we attend to our own consciousness, that that is the space that really is. It's the beginning and the end of our life experience. And if we can bring ourselves back to that. I mean, that was a really big. The biggest takeaway from India was the importance of if I spend the time to foster my inner state. And I'll just give you a quick example. If I take the time to be clear about what I am trying to do, but more importantly, who I'm trying to be on this podcast with you. And I'm conscious that my inner state is one of power, beauty, and intentionality. That is going to be work that goes far beyond this doing of this podcast with you. And so really what I took away from India was this idea of looking at the interstate and looking at consciousness and learning about how all of our traumas and troubles really can affect that place and be a magnet to attract dysfunction, challenges, and everything into our lives. And so the idea really of how I've kind of concocted the work that I do with clients is my own journey, the lessons and the learnings that I've had myself walking through those trenches. And really what worked for me, I found that there were things that were consistently working. And really what consistently works is being aware of how we're feeling and also being Aware of our becoming. Right. It's being aware that on some level we feel that we are not whole and complete beings. And if we can reconcile that and first start with the focus of our consciousness and who we're being mixed with how we're feeling, that is more powerful than any accolade or award or achievement. And instead, if you operate from that place first, all of the other things are our bonuses, the achievements. It's a byproduct of who you're being. And this really starts with our view of ourselves. And that's where for me, that's what was distorted. That was the trouble was I didn't see myself like my peers saw me or my clients saw me. They saw me as this amazing rock star mover, shaker, making things happen. But I always viewed myself as if something were missing. And so because I was viewing myself that way, I would experience always something missing in the outer world. And that's the most important thing. Like, if there's one thing I want everyone to take away from today is like that one thing. What is your perception of yourself? Do you view yourself the way others view you? Because if you reconcile that, everything else will take care of itself.
I know you have a really cool chart that sort of lines some of those things up. And now how does that tie into your true nature? Like, I've taken all the disc. And for those of you who don't know about disc, from what I understand, it's sort of getting an understanding of your true nature or things that come naturally versus your adapted responses, natural responses versus adaptive response. You talk a lot about true nature, I think, or coming home to your true nature.
Yeah.
So how does one actually figure out what their true nature is versus get it, get it skewed or exaggerated or muted based upon self perception? How I really feel about myself.
Yeah. Yeah. So the first and most important question that you can ask yourself is, what is it that you want? Because we base our desires off of most of the time, what we think we should be, what we think our families need, what what we think the world wants of us. And a lot of times there's a gap between what we really want and really what we're being in the world. And so I think that that can be just a simple question is what is it that you want? But more importantly, just coming back to the chart that I had used with you, Scott, is making sure that your intentions, your thoughts, your emotions and your actions all line up. Because most of the time they're out of alignment. And when you can really ask yourself and check yourself, are those things in alignment? That's when you can start to discover, oh no, my actions aren't in alignment with what I say that I want. And so that can say, okay, that means that I might be kidding myself that I really want this thing. I just think that that's what I need to do to be successful. So it's a great way to check yourself that way.
And I think that's sort of along the next question is I know that there's a lot of folks that are, they're high achievers. And so they've read a bunch of the books and they've gone to a bunch of the programs and they're still not getting the results that they want. And I remember you're talking a little bit about helping clients strike at the root of the real core issues. Could you talk to us a little bit more about that and give some specific examples of what that looks like?
Yes. Yeah. So a lot of times, especially with clients that I work with, they're achieving amazing things. Like achieving is not the issue. They are amazing doers. They have trouble closing their eyes. They have trouble self reflecting because they're so busy serving everyone else. And so a lot of times the root can be missed because they're dealing with the symptom and the roots can show up as beliefs, stories, I mean, addictions to different modes of suffering. It doesn't really matter like what your choice is. It. It's really about seeing that if there are patterns or things that are happening repeatedly in your life in one or more areas, and you're the common denominator, you are the problem and you're also the solution. Right. And so the idea is to in anything and let's just take an example. So I have a client that will often, I'm going to say this for this quite this perfect example. So I have a client who will has in the past had challenges where people have been inconsiderate. And she's found this in her work. She almost feels like dismissed or just a victim of some kind. And she's experienced that in her work, in her home life with her kids. And it's very easy, especially at home, to point the finger that her kids are misbehaving. But I was able to take her back to the fact that these things are happening in more than one area. And when they're happening in one or more area, you know, you're the common denominator. Right. Is to start to look at where are you playing Victim, because that's one of our favorite addictions, is it's happening to me. And excusing ourselves from the table of excellence that we're made for. And that is. I mean, one of the most consistent things that I see with my clients is not only it's interesting, it doesn't show up that they're being a victim to a situation as much as it shows up as they're being a victim to themselves. In other words, they're too busy to fix it. It's easy to throw money at it to fix it. Right. There's all of these different things, but at the end of the day, if they can take ridiculous responsibility for that role they're playing, that can change everything.
Ridiculous responsibility. I like that. Ridiculous responsibility. Total responsibility. What is the difference between, like, just normal responsibility and ridiculous responsibility?
Total responsibility is like, okay, I can own that. But. But ridiculous responsibility is actually owning it with the person that's involved and actually casting a new vision for what the possibility is. Right. We often talk about vision in our business, but really we need to take this next step of what's the vision for the relationship? What's the vision for how I want to show up with my team? What's the vision for their state? What's the vision for the state of the company? Right. There's, like, all of these levels to it.
I'm super curious, and maybe I've already covered this question. I'm really interested to hear your answer to this why do you think? And sort of a why question, but why do you think the imposter syndrome is so prevalent, even in people who are achieving extraordinary things? Why does it even exist? What is it?
It's very simple. Because we think we're incomplete without the thing we're chasing.
Hmm.
We think that we're incomplete without the thing we're chasing. So our power is outside of us constantly. And so the imposter syndrome shows up. Because that is essentially mistaken. Meaning that I think that I'm going to be enough once I get to this level. If I instead operated that I am enough now, the imposter syndrome truly goes away. It's not almost. It dissolves completely. Because you start operating in the world as I run the show, right? I am the ruler that I'm meant to be. I am the leader that I'm meant to be. And that imposter syndrome truly dissolves. And it's only because, like I said earlier, our view of ourself is we need the other. Like, I need you, Scott, to feel whatever it is worthy, validated. Right. Let's say I have marketing ideas, like I need to bounce them off Scott and like, make sure that they're like good enough to go out there. That's a simple example. Whereas that imposter syndrome can, can show up anytime. That we feel like we are somehow incomplete without the other. So somehow incomplete without treatment actually makes.
A lot of sense. I've never heard it put that way, but it makes a lot of sense. If someone comes to you and they say they're feeling like they're the problem in their professional or personal life, like they recognize, look, I know I'm messing up. What's your approach? To help them navigate that feeling or break out of that pattern?
Yeah. So so often they don't come to me saying what you just said. They often say somebody else's. Right. Right. They often say, I'm successful, but I'm just feeling low, my energy is low. I. I am feeling like I've achieved it, but something, it just doesn't feel good. Like what I used to do no longer res. They don't even say resonate. What I used to do no longer feels like it used to. What's. Like what's going on? And so the process is to really take them to where are they, where are they showing up in this distortion, where are they showing up in this lie? That on some level they've thought that once they get somewhere, then finish the sentence and taking them through that, it reveals what the story is they've been telling themselves, it reveals the language they've been using, and it also reveals the actions they've been taking. And so you can learn a lot and also have them see how everything is connected, see that their thoughts, their actions, their emotions and the language, how that's all connected, that helps them see how they've arrived at this place.
And I think that's an interesting diagnostic you have. If I got it right, you're making sure that thoughts, beliefs, actions and emotions and maybe something else are all lined up. Because if they're out of whack and you've got a belief that's holding you back, or language that's holding you back, it's very difficult to break through.
Right? Yeah.
And you have an exercise on a wake up call, and I wasn't really planning on going to the wake up call just yet, but can you walk us through? So somebody comes to you and they say, I get intellectually what you're talking about. I have limiting language patterns. I'm always talking down to Myself, and I do believe that I just. I can't believe I've made it this far. And I probably won't go to the next level. But intellectually, I'm. I'm trying to grow what's an experience. Tell me about the Wake Up Call. What's so different about the Wake Up Call than maybe the books I've read or the seminars I've gone to?
Yeah, a lot of what's out there is. And you said this in one of our conversations, Scott, it's really cerebral. Right. And that's where we're, as a collective consciousness, we're moving out of cerebral. Cerebral into experiential. And so part of what I like to do with people is give them an experience because once they can taste it, once they can feel in their body whatever it is that they're experiencing or want to experience, that's when the game changes and you can start to see yourself complete and whole. And so in the Wake Up Call and what we had even talked about is this idea of looking at your thoughts and evaluating your actions and beliefs. That all is very cerebral. Right. We can do that on like a brain dump, do some columns on a page, break down, like what's the gap? And you can easily see that. But the beliefs and the deeper truth of what has been driving that for so long, a lot of times has come from a pain. And so giving the experience of what would it feel like if you achieved 100 million in your business, Scott? Right. And take you through the experience of closing your eyes and like, what would that feel like? If you tell me, what would you tell me, Scott?
Ecstatic. Abundant. Ecstatic. Free.
Yes.
Joyful. I'm struggling to find the words, a lot of good words like that.
Yeah. So it's like feeling that now is one piece of the pie. And I think that this is really the bridge I'm trying to get out to people is this idea of feeling and embodiment is the part of the equation that we've been missing. And the other part is the understanding of becoming. The understanding that while there's so much to learn, there's so much to grow, that as a human you have access consciously, intuitively, and just with your own magic of who you are to create what you want to create. And so it's this idea of bridging all, like the thoughts and the cerebral stuff with the experience of feeling, but also linking that to where you're going and who you're becoming.
And I love that because I think, like I've Been a student of like the Joe Dispenza or the Abraham Hicks. And there's many people out there that have turned to manifesting techniques. Whether it's been the secret from a while back, Abraham Hicks or Joe Dispenza. How does your approach integrate some of these techniques and how is it different from some of these techniques?
Yeah, it integrates it by bridging it into the material world more concrete in a more concrete approach. And so actually taking you through the steps of manifestation, of embodiment and bringing that across the bridge to achieving and changed relationships, changed experiences and who you're being in your business, that's tangible, where we all go online and listen to that encouraging video or that inspirational moment. And a lot of times it gives you that endorphin, right? Those endorphins. And it gets you more optimistic. But it's like, how are you actually being different in the world? And what we're talking about is leadership, right? It's this conscious leadership, but integrating all of these pieces because it's like it's either or in the past, right? It's been manifestation or leadership. And what I'm saying is it's both. If you can connect them together, you become more conscious. Your change in your message not only is is this ripple effect with your internal team, it changes everything. And your inner state and how you're showing up is really the name of the game. And so it's connecting those, integrating those. And I know I answered both questions kind of there, Scott, of integrating and how it's different.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I appreciate it. What's maybe one of the most challenging things of those four or five things? Beliefs. Language. Gosh.
Actions. Yeah, yeah, no, I think, yeah.
What are some of the easiest to change that somebody could do right away? A profound impact. And what are some of those challenging things? Or maybe I'm asking the wrong question.
No, no, it's such a great question. The easy thing is the action. We are all amazing doers, right? Give me that five step strategy I'll go execute all day long, especially as leaders. Like that's what we're really good at, the being, the internal pause. And it's not even self reflection, but it's honestly the internal pause. To look at your language, I would say is the most difficult because a lot of times we talk about how we struggle with our peers or we focus on the problem, like that's really how we're conditioned. And the truth is that cleaning that up is the most challenging because it's like as you go one layer of the onion, the next layer is there. And so it's just a constant effort to keep peeling that back and peeling it back. But I would say that those two are the polar opposites. The action is easy. And then really looking at language and taking responsibility, this is outside of the framework. But it's like being willing to own everything, every little detail. That is how you manifest, to be able then to create everything that you want. It's this level of leading yourself and owning yourself and your everything that's been created so far so that you can make change.
Yeah, that reminds me. There's. I remember reading a book and there was a line in there that jumped out at me that said, we are nothing but the sum total of all the decisions we've made up until this point. And I remember thinking that. And they said, your body, your relationships, your health, your spiritual life, your emotional life, everything. We are the sum total of all the decisions. And would you agree with that statement? Is there exceptions to the rule? I mean, bad things happen to good people, but are we not subject to the decisions that we made perhaps leading up to that? What, you know, what do you think about that quote? And do you agree with it?
Yes, I totally agree with it. Because if you agree with it, which I do, what you're saying is you're taking responsibility for even if at some point something was unconscious, what you're saying is, I'm willing to be more conscious in this moment. I messed up yesterday, but I'm willing to be more intentional today. There's a quote from the 15. The 15, sorry, the 15 principles of conscious Leadership. I just butchered the title, but the quote is basically, when you drift, simply shift. And I love that because if we look at our lives like we're all like boats right in the sea, moving forward, if we have where we're headed, right, that beacon of light, where we're going, that's critical to get there. But just know that there are waves that are going to come and you'll drift. And all you have to remember is to shift. All you have to remember is to constantly take responsibility and actually do something about it, right? Instead of being willing to just settle now.
So let's dive into the shift gears into one other thing I really, really want to get to. After Global Speakers Academy, you were in the room with, call it 50 other entrepreneurs. And I've never seen somebody elegantly, so elegantly take control of a situation and lead everyone onto the WhatsApp group and then lead everybody on the Weekly calls. And you did it effortlessly and you did it elegantly. It wasn't a command and control type of thing. And then in that experience, I got to know you better and some of the coaching that you've done, and you coach these amazing entrepreneurs. Tell me a little bit about the coaching programs that you offer and specifically go into Magnetize you and how you can really get people to start magnetizing things, to bring more things into their life. And then I'm going to share a personal experience that you gave me. But tell me about that process of developing magnetizeu. What is it and how did it come about?
Yeah, yeah. So going back to Global Speakers Academy, what has always been my truth, you know, and who I want to be in the world. And it is so far from perfect, but it's my anchor and is my role in this world is to bring out the best in others. That's what I'm here to do. And it was such an amazing experience, Global Speakers Academy with entrepreneurs organization eo to have this group together, to transform together by sharing our personal stories. And it was too much gold that that would just stop. And so it was actually we were at a table. I don't know if you remember, Scott, we were having lunch and. And I mentioned to you, how can we keep this going? And honestly, I joke, but it was part selfish because I loved everyone so much. I was like, I'm not letting any of you guys go. And so. But that part of me, right, of wanting to pull out the best in others, it's like we all became better people because we were together. And I think that that's like, such a mantra for life, right? It's the whole idea of, if you want to go far, go together. And that was just really true. So that was the inspiration behind, like, Global Speakers Academy and all of that. And now I've just gone on a tangent. Can you please remind me?
That's okay. So through that experience, you're gathering everybody together, and everybody is drawn to you with this sort of. You've got this magnetic energy. And then you come up with this idea that even though there's all these different amazing speakers at Global Speakers Academy, you noticed a problem, a catch where they. They would say, I'm ready to share my message with the world. But they had this stop this block. And then you help break it with MagnetizeU. Tell us what that block is that's so common with entrepreneurs and how you break that once and for all with Magnetize.
You. Yeah. Thank you so much for reminding Me, Okay. So one of the things that was my own experience, and this is really true of everything I create in the world, everything I create in the world is because I've experienced something and I want to share. For example, Global Speakers Academy, I experienced the magic and want to keep that going, want to continue to share. So one thing that I experienced in my own journey was I went through amazing transformation. And what I found was as soon as I had up leveled myself, my messaging and my way of being, I wasn't clear on how to then speak to the marketplace, how to say who I am now. And so there was this gap. I started to find that my clients were also experiencing the same thing. They would work with me for a period of time, whether that was in our six month container or our 12 month container. And after that, they would feel different about their life and business and want to show up in this elevated way online. And so Scott is the master of all marketing. And so Scott and I got to talking. It's like, what if there was a way to awaken our clients, right. And help them really take ownership of what it means to be magnetic. That's what I do with my clients, right? Is I bring them back home to the truth of who they are so that they can take ownership of their magnetism, which is who they are. Right. On all levels. And then creative magnetize you, which is our six week program to help them articulate how they're showing up in the marketplace, what they want to say, how they want to say it, and do it in as quick a quick time as possible.
I love that. And by the way, Ellen says go, Stacy. Yay.
Stacy, glad you here with us.
Okay. And I got to experience this. What are the few steps like? So if I am an entrepreneur, I'm a professional person, the blocks that I make typically experience what are like the 1, 2 or 3 blocks. I'm typically experiencing that. If you heard those blocks, you'd say, wow, this person is a great candidate for magnetize you.
So one is around money and producing more in the business. A lot of times, I would say most people that I work with, there is a money or value, and value can translate into worthiness. There's a piece around they're experiencing some sort of financial block. It could be a block, it could just be they want that next level. But really what I do in that first call is I listen to what they're saying because that is like my treasure map, right? They're telling me the story of their struggle and that helps me Understand like really what the roots are in these different experiences. So the a great fit for Magnetizeu is someone that has. Knows that you want to say something and you almost feel frustrated because you can't get it out. That was my experience. It was like, I have all this to say, but I like don't know how to get it out in a constructive way. If someone could just give me that methodology, then I could really speak my mind, speak my truth. And so the idea is that we first identify these stories, these limiting beliefs, remove those so that you can really own all of who you are. And then the next step is articulating that and how to have a framework that allows you to plug into so that you can speak how you want to speak, how you want to show up, how that you can do that. Finally.
Excellent. And so going back to the first experience, I happen to be on a call with you and it was called a wakeup call. And I love what you said about there's a gap. For me, part of my story and part of my journey was having a really successful company, losing everything and then having to rebuild. So I constantly felt like I was in this position of lack and feeling like there was lack and feeling like there wasn't enough. And I thought, and I really fell into that. And I remember on our Magnetize U call or a wake up call, you got me to close my eyes and start to imagine some of those things. And I thought, okay, it's, I know, cerebral, cerebrally, I get it. But for the first time I was able to experience it in line fashion. And lo and behold, we set an expectation, we almost created an expectation where we manifested it, that in 90 days I would hit a certain level of income. And I'm proud to say I've blown way past that number. And at that moment I would have considered it impossibility. And from that moment after, I, I kept catching myself with language and I would relanguage things immediately. So it got me to have a better sense of awareness after someone has that wake up call. Tell us about that six month program. What, what is it? What does it do for them and what does it mean for them?
Yes. So there's, there's a couple of different things. So first with Magnetize you that, that's a six week program and it is a very in depth call on the front end to really eradicate and excavate all of the blocks. Whether it's limiting beliefs, whether it's language, whatever it is, I like to move fast. We don't have time for any of you to be in suffering. We have to address what's going on so that you can start to plant in your newly, like, nutritious garden. Right. That you're created. And so in the six month program, I have different options. Right. A lot of it is custom, but really what I'm doing is working with you one on one. So to do that excavation and really rebuild in all areas of your life. So with Scott, his story of the wake up call, we did that in a really accelerated fashion. Right. We had more conversations after the wake up call, but it was more about waking you up to the truth that you can change it and realize it. Now I think that's my other specialty is the speed of which you realize things. Because we all believe that things take time. Right. We have to get to this level. We have to do this thing. But no, you can experience this now. And it's all about flipping that switch.
I never would have. And I've done Tony Robbins, unleash a power within. I've done UPW. I've done, you know, 30 days of limited growth. All those are unlimited power. But I really was blown away by that.
What. Can I ask you a question, Scott?
Of course.
What do you think was the difference was in that wake up call?
I can tell you the experience. It wasn't a cerebral. It wasn't about reading it. It was during that, during the wake up call. At one point, I don't know whether it was at a frustration or it's just part of your process. You look at me said, all right, close your eyes. Because I was cerebrally getting it. Okay, I got to align my vision and. Okay, I get it. And then you said, close your eyes. Yeah, I closed my eyes. And I was willing to kind of go through the process. And then there was a feeling shift. I was able to feel it in my gut. And there's been a handful of times in my life where I felt so certain I knew what I needed to do and I felt this certainty. And I can honestly say I've only felt it probably a dozen times about different things about getting married, about building a business, about doing this, about taking action. But there's a certain level of certainty that I had just by visualizing those things and then feeling in my body. And then when I left, when I walked away, I continued to feel them in my body. And then as I would drift a little bit, I'd come back to that feeling of certainty and it would just keep pushing me through. And I was stepping out in faith because I didn't exactly see the pieces coming together. But then I would get an email from a call, I would. And there was a certain awakening to the opportunity that was around me right now that for some reason I've been ignoring. It was like blindness to certain opportunities. It's kind of like you say to your child, you know, go get the salt out of the cupboard. And they say, well, I'm not going to find the salt, I'm not going to find the salt, I'm not going to find the salt. So they open the thing, of course they can't find the salt. And then you go, it's right there. It would have bitten you if it was a snake. But when you become awakened to the opportunities all around, you just see them everywhere, even in little things that you would have missed.
Yeah, well, and thank you so much for sharing more in depth about your experience because like, I think that's so critical for, for our viewers to take away is this idea that what's really in between you and everything you want is connecting to yourself. Because if you look at what we did, yes, we brought it into the body, but we can. You connected to you right. In that wake up call. You connected to yourself. You felt that, you explained it as I felt it in my gut. I felt such certainty. Really what you did is you took the outlet, or excuse me, the cord of you and plugged it into the outlet of you, thus being able to connect and create.
Yeah. And it was like a light bulb went on and all of a sudden I started seeing things all around me like, oh, I could call this guy, he's right here. And what about this one and this person and.
Yeah.
And opportunity jumped out.
Yes.
Love it. What would you say to somebody who's skeptical about all this manifestation? I've tried all this. I, I've tried to imagine that there's no weeds in my garden, but there are weeds in my garden. What would you, what would you say to somebody who's skeptical about personal development work? Who's calls this stuff woo woo or coaching? They've tried coaching before and it's failed.
I would say, do you have what you want now? Right. Do you? Because at the end of the day, if that answer is yes, see you later. Right. But if that answer is no, there is a piece of the puzzle that you're missing. Period, end of story. And that is part of what my journey was so much of. Right. I was trying all the courses on achievement or strategy and all of that, but it was all falling on toxic soil because I didn't see myself in a capacity that would allow those things to take root. In other words, my garden was full of toxic roots. That is what is in the way of this person saying, I'm skeptical. That skepticism is in the way of all of the abundance you are made for. So I would say, how is that serving you? And they would give me some fun story and I would go along and grab my popcorn and keep going. But the truth is, is that there are things we've done to protect ourselves. And that's just a protection mechanism, right? A defense mechanism. And walking through that together, meeting you where you are, is really the secret, right? So that we can transform together.
I love that question. Do. Are you where you want to be? Do you have what you want now? You know, it's a great question. If it is, if you have everything, then great. If you don't. Let's. Let's go to work. I think the answer is going to be the same. How do you help those feel that their circumstances are just too unique? Like, yes, I get it works for them, these other women entrepreneurs, these other entrepreneurs, these other professional people. And you've woken up all those people. Mine's very different. Mine goes back to childhood and. Or mine. Mine's very unique situation because I've got a boss that won't let me, or I've got a business partner that won't let me. I've got unique circumstances and they're just too difficult to overcome. What do you tell them?
Yeah. So that unique story has served you so you feel significant so that you can stay stuck in your struggle. That's the thing.
So it's not a benefit, right?
You have. You have separated yourself.
What?
What? At the end of the day, what we're talking about is connection or separation, right? We're saying it in ways of connecting to yourself. But at the end of the day, when I say to you, you can't help me, my situation is too unique. I'm too dysfunctional, basically, is what I'm saying. I'm too broken, is what I'm saying. I'm saying I'm separate from you. And if I stay separate, I stay safe, right? I don't have to become everything that I want, because that's scary. And I would have to change. And so really, at the end of the day, if we can start to see the truth, which is why my company is called the Truth Teachers, right? There's nothing else but the truth. So if we speak truth, if we deal with the truth. We're going to go quick, we're going to go far, and we're going to go in purpose. Right.
I have another follow up question. I love this. I love this. What do you say to potential clients that are uncomfortable addressing their problems or may not be ready to discuss certain issues? They come to you, they want to pay you, and your fee is up there, they want to pay you, but they just say, look, just. I'm just. These things are out of bounds. And you know that maybe this is where the root is. What do you say to people who, you know, that want to get help, but they're not ready to discuss certain issues or address certain things, problems, Frankly.
I won't work with that person if they're that committed to staying in hiding. And the reason is, is because we are whole beings, Right? I often will say to my clients, you can't go to your next level and leave your left leg behind. Meaning the left leg is your relationship and your next level in your mind is your business success. You, you are everything. Right? It's like if I have a successful business, but I have a relationship that is struggling or vice versa. If my business is struggling and I have a really great relationship, there's parts of me that's fragmented and in my work. And with the people that are ready for this work, they have to be willing to go from fragmentation to connection. And most often, if I have someone that's like, this is off limits, I don't want to go there after a couple of conversations because I'm very direct. You can't hide from Stacy. That's just what I'm known for. Like, I'm coming for your limitations and we're pulling it all out. And so people have joked with me, you have a way of being direct. And all of a sudden I'm okay with it. Where usually I would get really offended. And I think that that's the gift that I'm supposed to carry forward, right? Because if we can be in a space of non judgment, because that's what's really happening, is they're judging themselves, which is why they're like, this is off limits. But instead if we just say, there's no judgment, only growth, there's no judgment, only going forward, then it's fine, let's put all the chips on the table and move forward.
I love that. I love that last one and I love this one. And then there's actually a few other questions, but I love this on the line of like, I'm trying to Imagine what people say. And I know I'm in forum, I'm in entrepreneur, organization. I hear these things. Well, I'm too busy for coaching. I know I could benefit. I know I'm interested in that wake up call. I know I'm interested in learning more about the six month program because I've got these blocks, I've got these sort of imposter syndromes. But I'm just so busy right now doing these other, doing these other things, dealing with these other fires. What is somebody, what do you say to somebody like that?
I ask them what they're so busy doing. Right. And once they answer, I ask them who they're being in that busyness. Because a lot of times they don't have an answer to that. A lot of times they kind of look at me like, what do you mean, who am I being in that busyness? Well, there's probably something that's driving you to be busy and driving you to have a whack a mole approach to life versus being intentional and fierce in the pursuit of the direction that you're supposed to be doing. And coaching helps you get that clarity. So that's the first thing. And then the second thing is if you're so busy reacting to life instead of spending one hour a week, whatever the coaching is, on yourself, that tells me, that shows me that you're not clear in what you're creating. You're simply trying to respond and react frankly in a state of codependency on everyone approving of you versus slowing down to speed up, slowing down to make exponential moves versus linear moves versus small moves.
I love stories. You love stories. We all love stories. Can you tell us a story and maybe even change the name of the client who came to you and you're now working with and you're taking him and her, him or her to the next level. Can you, can you share their story, some of the objections they had? I don't have enough time. Well, my situation's really unique and what they're experiencing now and what you and he or her are experiencing now with coaching.
Yeah. So I had a client that. And I'll of course keep all of their information confidential and parts of their story confidential. But I had a client who had come to me. We had a very magical meeting. Actually. The way that we met was on a hiking trail, actually. And we started talking and she was at a place where her business had changed, the people in her business had changed, and the dynamics had changed and she was really just questioning everything. And in that questioning everything. She hadn't worked with a coach before of. Of this caliber, of this intentionality and with these types of outcomes attached to it. And so we started our work together and really dove into not only what had changed, but how she felt about it. And for her, she really felt that it was happening to her. I think for all of us, especially as leaders, when we experience, whether it's good or bad in our business, of a big change, whether that's team leading, right. It's hard to not take that personally. Right. It's hard to not look at ourselves like, how could I have done differently or better? And so she had experienced this big change in the infrastructure of her business, and it caused her to question everything. And so we started to really look at how she was feeling victim to the circumstances, right? She was feeling like it was happening to her. And so after excavating that and really starting to build her own foundation, because like many entrepreneurs, we are so good at doing. And she was the same way. You know, she's so good at doing. She hadn't set up her foundation. Foundation. I mean, like, her morning routine. What fills her cup? How does she pour into her? And I'm not saying like the month massage or the random spa date you give to yourself after six months of production. No, I'm talking about how do you fill your cup every day? And so designing that and really being conscious about how she was showing up with her family, asking for help, like, there's all these little things, you know, especially as women leaders that we kind of push to the side, but it's actually stacking as challenges in our ability to achieve that we don't recognize. And so working with her through that journey, she's become more confident. She. Her leadership is through the roof. How she's running, her infrastructure, she's hired more people that are in alignment with her and her vision. Who she is as a mom, I'm getting goosebumps now is, like, so different, you know, asking for help or making it a fun activity that every Sunday we all do chores and everyone gets a star. And then twice a month we go and celebrate as a family by getting ice cream. Like, all of these things, she's, you know, created her own flow, her own, you know, sense of purpose in all of the things she has to do versus life happening to her. And so I'm. I'm happy to report she's. She's happier, she's more content. She doesn't feel like even after achieving that, there's just never enough you know, she has this sense of calm and, you know, more than anything, her confidence has gone through the roof, which affects everything. It affects our ability to function and be intentional. And so that's the. That's the story that I'll share on that.
I love that. I love that if somebody watching is. Feels like they recognize themselves in the description of, you know, I've got some of these challenges, yes, I'm looking at some of these solutions, and yes, I'm considering coaching. What's the first step they can take towards change? How could they get ahold of you and reach out? And what would be that first step?
The first step is the wake up call. And the wake up call is literally, it's so powerful. You will leave that call changed. You will leave that call with such clarity. And you will be woken up because we need you to wake up. We're walking around as disconnected, asleep individuals. And that call alone will be transformational. So you can sign up for that at my website, which is the truth teachers.com forward/wake up call. Abby might kill me. I may have said that wrong, but just go to the truth teachers.com and send me a message and we'll get you all squared away.
All right, I'm dropping it in there right now. And pick up call@truthteachers.com and I've also just got the link to Truth Teachers, so I've got both links. Fantastic. In our final moments, I understand a little birdie told me you had a new baby recently.
I did.
Can you share a little bit about your baby's name if you feel comfortable with that?
Of course. Yeah.
And your point? Plans to bring your baby into the business real time anytime soon?
Yes, of course. Yes. She already launched her first program at. Actually, it was. It was two weeks before delivery that she launched her first program. It's called Legendary Leaders Advisory. It's our community for our seven figure plus women. But her name is Legend Blaze. And, yeah, we were so excited to have her. She's doing great. She, of course, has. Yeah. Change me in. In the best way. And it's been so fun seeing just the dynamic of my husband and I change. And yeah, it's. It's such a testament to when you have that foundation. Right. When we're dealing with the root, bringing it back to everything we talked about today. It's like you can withstand any storm, you can withstand any beautiful moment. It just adds to the dynamic. So, yes, very happy about Legend.
I love that. I love that. In our final question here, if what what advice, what suggestions? Any final message you would have. If an entrepreneur is watching this, male or female? Woman entrepreneur, male entrepreneur, and they do feel like they're struggling from that block, what final piece of advice would you offer them?
I would do a quick exercise and bring it more cerebral. If you're struggling with something, write down what is it you're struggling with and how do you feel about it? Because a lot of times we know we're struggling, but we haven't paused to go. I actually feel anger or I feel, you know, dissatisfied or just tap into that feeling. So write down what you're struggling with and how you feel. And then on the next column, best if you have two columns right, what would you want to be different and how would that feel? And that simple exercise is just going to give you, you more awareness and insight into what's truly going on.
I love that. Any. Any question that I didn't ask that you wish I did ask and we'll close.
No, this was comprehensive. You crushed it, as always. Everything you touch turns to gold. I'm a fan. You rocked it, Scott.
Excellent. Well, Stacy, thank you so much. You've not only had an impact on obviously hundreds of entrepreneurs around the world, but also on me personally. So I am super thankful of you and super appreciative of you and thank you for being on Game Changers and making it an awesome episode. Thanks so much and I look forward to seeing.
Thanks for having me soon.
