This is a podcast titled "Encouragement helps!" recorded in July 2024. It features a conversation between Jesse and special guest Reuben Dubrow discussing financial strategies to pay off home loans faster, the importance of encouragement and community support in their Crown Money program, and the value of word-of-mouth referrals to help more people achieve financial freedom.
Foreign money, where we show you how to pay your home loan off in up to half the time of a normal bank loan. Welcome to the Crown Money podcast. I'm joined by a special guest today, our superstar, Reuben Dubrow. How are you?
I am better now. I tell you what, what an entry. What an intro. Thank you.
Hey. Hey. You are welcome. It's great to have you back, buddy. Look, something that you brought up, which was really interesting and something we really wanted to kind of honor with our current clients at the moment is, you know, it has been a really tough time for a lot of people. We've been going through a lot of challenges and to take a leap of faith and join the Crown Money program. You know, it does feel like you're going against the grain, like you're doing something different. And it is a leap of faith. But I just wanted to kind of. We wanted to have a conversation around, you know, what, what can get up our clients past that initial step and, and, you know, what they can expect when they do join the program and the community that we're building around them. So. Yeah. Any thoughts, Reuben?
Yeah, absolutely. So in order to get a result you've never had before, you've really got to do something you've never done before. Yeah, I guess that's what we're. Guess that's what we're preaching from the rooftops at Crown Money. You know that if you do the things that the banks and the brokers want you to do, you're going to get the results, which is who makes more money the longer you're in debt banks. Do we want to continue to go down that path of refinancing every three to four years and just resetting the clock, the resetting the marathon. No. And so, yeah, what I'm doing differently is I'm really just about encouraging. I really feel as though that's my superpower. Everyone's got a tough life. We've all got across to carry at different times. And I feel as though my superpower has been encouragement through it all, no matter what. And yeah, every Friday, for those that are friends with me on either LinkedIn or Instagram or Facebook, they would know. Happy Friday. That's me. I bring them good news, which is another happy individual or family have decided to understand how to do things differently when it comes to their money and their mortgage and their money management. In regards, you know, we've got different programs available, one of which being the home ownership program, which basically just reverses the flow of where the cash flow goes it saves you more time and money on the mortgage you're debt free on. I mean our averages is less than 12 years, you know, saving 200 and something in thousand dollars in interest and time. But then some people do want just that little bit more. And so we have that financially set for life program where we'll be able to enable them to pay off their home and acquire at least two investment properties before they retire. So again I'm showing like I'm just, I'm shouting it from the rooftops. Not really as a marketing play, but more so. And I understand people see it and I know people have been watching for years and they're just waiting and so then they see a friend put a Google review like our clients are the best clients ever. They ask everyone to do it. We are lucky, we are blessed like we have the best clients when because you know we give the biggest return on investment though, you know they take a leap of faith. They're now paying down way more principal two times, three times, five times, six times more principal debt than they ever have before. And I say, do you mind if you do a Google review for me? Please just mention the name Crown Money and please mention the name Reuben because I'm a weirdo, like to see my name up in lights. But no, it's more so for the connectivity so that people see it because that's the number one thing, Jesse, you know that we hear people all the time when our clients are trying to tell their friends and family it's too good to be true.
Yeah. And it's really interesting when you're talking about, you know, it's not a marketing play because it's really hard in this industry to actually get our name out there to market our product because it is absolutely saturated by the big players. So we cannot, there is no way we could afford an advertising budget that would make our name recognizable Australia wide unfortunately. So I wish we could, I wish more people had heard of us because our number one goal is to help as many people as we possibly can. So ultimately we do rely on word of mouth. We rely on those connections that you were talking about is connecting with other people, existing clients, friends, family, everything that we can. And like you said, that is your superpower is the encouragement of your clients and that encouragement flows through to their friends and their family, I think, which is, which is brilliant. But yeah, I think that's where our Google reviews become very important and any sort of feedback, any sort of referral, anything that a client can do to spread the word A little bit is just invaluable to us.
Well, the number one thing that people often then say is, I wish I heard about you sooner.
Yes.
Like the amount of times we've heard that, you know, it's just unbelievable. And it's like, well, you probably were told like, oh, some of my favorite clients that have come on board and they'll listen to this and they'll know it's them, but it's their boss told them three years ago, oh, you've got to, you've got to talk to crown money. Yeah. Or their sister told them a year ago because I brought them on and they're doing well and they're very, very happy with not having to worry about money anymore or, you know, just not having to care about the bills of life and, and all of these things. And then they say, and then suddenly their wife hears about it from the sister, and the wife comes to him and says, crown money. And the guy then says, yeah, what about it? And says, oh, I heard about that a year or two ago. Oh, geez, I wouldn't want to be a fly on the wall in that conversation.
Better late than never, though ultimately, better late than never late.
Absolutely. Better late than never. But yeah, when we can save them so much pain and misery. It's not just numbers, like, it's the emotion behind the numbers. You know, not having enough. That is one of the worst things to have in a marriage. Not having enough money to pay for the kids, hands fees or something. It chokes me up. It really chokes me up. That happened the other day. I've heard of people not having enough to simply pay for dance fees for their kids. My wife's got a dance business, so I know very cheap. And yet still. And so for me, that's why my Fridays are such a good news story. Because someone has decided to listen, learn, and understand there's a better way. And therefore having a better way will enable them to have more.
Yeah.
So they'll be able to pay off their home loan sooner or they'll be able to have more surplus cash to go on that holiday they really, really wanted or deserved. Or pay for the, you know, the dance fees. Pay for those extra things that the kids possibly, maybe not deserve as their friends, but possibly. But. But to have more.
Yeah.
Just to be debt free sooner.
Yeah, absolutely. And so I think, you know, what are the key takeaways from the message today? I think, like you said, encouragement is really, really important. And it's a big part, a big kind of, you know facet of what you're offering, which is amazing. Like everybody needs encouragement, support, especially when it's something different and new and unique and you little bit nervous or apprehensive about what it's going to actually look like. So you provide that amazing kind of, you know, validation to clients and support or we all love that, which is amazing. But. Yeah. What else would you share today? What else would you. Would be a key takeaway from you, from this?
Well, there's a better way. Simply put, there is an absolute better way. And there is a community that is growing.
Yeah.
And. And it is a community of crown money. And we are here to help individuals or families, you know, just know there's a better way forward to stay together and to just beat the banks in a better way. Save more time and money on the biggest debt of their life and the biggest noose around their neck their whole life. And my favorite quote in life is, all boats rise with a rising tide. So if you do well with your money and your mortgage, suddenly your best friends should know about it. You should tell them. Yeah, come on. Right. And hopefully eventually they'll then come on board as well. Then their friends family, then their friends family. Suddenly communities are rising with a rising tide of those that are doing better financially. Therefore, all boats will rise.
Sharing. Yeah. Yeah, that's brilliant. I love that. Cool. Well, that's great. What a great message, Ruben. I think, you know, it's a really important one and just saying, you know, share the love, make sure friends and family get to hear about us as well. And yeah, Ruben, just keep doing what you're doing. That, that encouragement and validation to the clients is just so valuable. And I know appreciate you just as much as you appreciate them.
I appreciate that. And I apologize to those who haven't come on board yet. And they're just like, oh, here he goes again. Here he goes again. Another Friday, but I'm sorry. And today's Friday, so there will be another one today. I will not apologize. I will not apologize to anyone.
I love it. Oh, that's great. Thank you so much, Reuben. I'm looking to forward to having you on again very soon.
Sounds good. Thank you, Jesse.
