My name is Scott Selick with RE MAX Villa Realtors located in Edgewater, NJ. This video was created as a resource to learn more about the commuting options from Port Imperial to New York City. Port Imperial is comprised of a two mile stretch of planned communities, retail office space, hotels and restaurants in Guttenberg West New York and Weehawken along the Hudson River. The majority of the residents of Port Imperial take advantage of the Port Imperial Ferry service provided by New York Waterways. There are two ferry routes to Midtown and Downtown. Park and Ride is also available in the new parking facility with shuttle buses to the neighboring condo rental communities of Port Imperial. Residents reach Midtown in less than 10 minutes and downtown in 15 minutes with monthly passes available. In addition to the ferry terminal, residents can commute to New York City via the Hudson Bergen Light Rail train that has a connection across the street from the Port Imperial Ferry Terminal. This train has stops in Lincoln Harbor Hoboken in downtown Jersey City where residents can access the PATH trains to Midtown and the Financial Center. Residents also commute via the New Jersey Transit bus 158 to Midtown which goes through the Lincoln Tunnel, the 42nd 8th Port Authority bus Terminal. The bus will also stop at the Port Imperial Ferry Terminal.
