Short video transcript in which Sheri Caplan Stalino (founder of Connected Wellness) summarizes research showing moderate exercise increases endogenous endocannabinoids. The speaker cites a Georgia College & State University study reporting that ~50 minutes of moderate exercise at ~70–80% maximum heart rate raises blood anandamide (a natural THC-like endocannabinoid), framing this as pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory and supportive of cannabinoid absorption; ends with a call-to-action to subscribe and a teaser about diet.
Have you heard the latest research that is out on how exercise can help support your endocannabinoid system? I'm Sheri Caplan Stalino, founder of Connected Wellness. In past videos, I've shared with you how the endocannabinoid system works in our body. That your body makes its own natural endocannabinoids, anandamide and 2Ag, which are just like THC and CBD. I spoke about the enzymes that break them down and that we have receptors in our body and that's all a part of the endocannabinoid system and how it helps our body synthesize, modulate and regulate all the other systems in our body. So what if I told you that there were things that you could be doing today that would help support your endocannabinoid system in functioning more efficiently and effectively and that we could get your body to produce more of its own natural thc? Well, exercising is not a new concept to living a healthy lifestyle. However, there has been this new research on how exercise can actually increase your body's own ability to produce more thc. So according to the study, which comes out of Georgia College and State University, moderate exercise for 50 minutes at approximately 70 to 80% of your maximum heart rate actually increases levels of anandamide in your blood plasma. And so what that means is when you go out for a walk and you get your heart rate pumping at 70 to 80% of your maximum heart rate, that your body, your endocannabinoid system is going to produce its own natural thc. That means you're making pain, relieving, anti inflammatory happy hormones that get your body going. So it's not just your endorphins that you start producing more of when you're exercising. You're actually producing more thc. So that means you can absorb more CBD and more of the other cannabinoids and terpenes and polyphenols that are in plants, foods that you eat that nourish your body. So this is great news. Exercising at 70 to 80% of your maximum heart rate is going to produce more of your own natural THC in your body. So if you find that information to be helpful, get out there and start exercising.
