Foreign hello and welcome back to our channel. Does CBD from hemp work the same way in the body as CBD from cannabis? In today's video, I'm going to share with you what you need to know about CBD from hemp. I'm Sheri Caplan Stalino, founder of Connected Wellness. The compound of cbd, no matter what plant it comes from, is CBD how it can function in the body. Very much is determined about the other compounds that are in the plant along with it or the compounds that you can add to a formulation of cbd. So here's an example just to illustrate what I'm talking about. If you have chicken soup and all you have is chicken, let's say that's the CBD and water. Are you gonna have great chicken soup or do you really need the salt, the pepper, celery, the carrots and the noodles or the rice? Then you have chicken soup. And the same thing is true with cannabis. CBD and hemp cbd. In a hemp plant, you have different polyphenols, terpenes, flavonoids than you do in a cannabis plant. And you have even different cannabinoids in a hemp plant than in a cannabis plant. So the way that they're going to function in your body are slightly different. So when you're buying hemp cbd, here are a few precautions and some information to help you pick the right formula for you. If you're going to choose hemp cbd, it's important that you choose a formula that is organic. And the reason being that hemp by nature cleanses the soil in which it is grown in. That means it pulls up the heavy metals and the toxins in the earth. So if your formula is not from an organic source, you may be getting toxins that you do not want in your medicine. So look for a little symbol on the bottle or on the package that says certified organic. The second thing that you want to know is, is the company a reputable company? So any CBD company that is creating a good CBD product is going to give you the lab testing sheet from that batch of medicine. So have to do is contact the company and saying, can you please email me the lab sheet from this batch of medicine that I just purchased or that you want to purchase. You can copy it down from the store online. Very important for you to know if this company is making a CBD product that actually has the amount of CBD that it is saying on the label. You may also see that some CBD companies make their CBD from distillates. This is when you don't have a whole plant extract, which means that you don't have the benefit from all the other compounds to support how the CBD can perform. So this could be a good thing if you want to build your own formula with other plant extracts, which is what some companies are doing, is they're taking other plant extracts which have medicinal properties and adding it to the cbd. And this way you can create a formula that actually can enhance what the cannabis does or what the hemp does and create the formula to be more illness specific in supporting in the treatment of different conditions.
