Your Cannabis Source Matters! How to Choose Wisely.

Sheri Caplan Stalino explains why cannabis source matters: plants absorb whatever is in the soil, including heavy metals and pesticides. Always ask for batch lab sheets to check for contaminants, and consider consulting a cannabis physician to read them.
Foreign, does it really matter who you buy your medicine from? I'm Sheri Caplan Stalino, founder of Connected Wellness. It absolutely matters who is growing your medicine and who is manufacturing your medicine. And let me share with you why where your cannabis medicine is grown matters. Because cannabis is sucks in all the nutrients from the soil through the roots and brings it up through the plants into the flower, which is what your medicine is made of. So whether you inhale that flower or it is then manufactured into a liquid that you either take in a tincture form, in an edible form, or in a vape pen, that medicine is going to have whatever that plant drew in through its roots into the flower. So let me give you an example. If that plant is planted in soil that is not organic, if that soil has heavy metals in it, the plant is going to suck all those heavy metals into the flower, which will eventually end up in what you are using. Also what the plant is fertilized with, what nutrients are added into the soil, and if there is pest control used, what pesticides are used, are those organic or what level of chemicals are in them, or they are plants. Mold does happen in the cannabis world and then that mold has to be remediated. So getting all those chemicals off the plant and making sure that it doesn't end up in your medicine is the challenge of many growers. But is what is so important to make sure that those chemicals don't end up in your medicine. The second thing you need to know is how your medicine is extracted. So according to Raphael Mechoulam, which if you're not familiar with his name by now, he is our grandfather of cannabis. He's the one who discovered THC implants and it was him and his team who discovered the endocannabinoid system. So according to Raphael Mechoulam, he believes that CO2 extractions gets you the best quality of medicine. So that's helpful to know when you're going to purchase your medicine, to ask, how is this medicine extracted? And the third thing that you want to be asking when you're purchasing the medicine is for the lab sheet on your batch of medicine. Now that might seem very inconvenient for the growers, for the dispensary, for whoever is selling you the medicine. But by law, you are entitled to see what is in that medicine and make sure that the levels of pesticides and heavy metals and whatever is left in that medicine when it is tested, you want to be able to see it. And if you don't know how to read the sheet, bring it to your cannabis physician and see if they know somebody who knows how to read it. Or they themselves may know how to read it. But you want to be buying your medicine by obviously qualified growers and manufacturers who are licensed. But even then, that does not guarantee that you have the cleanest medicine or the best medicine. So don't forget to ask for your lab sheet. It is your right and it's in your best interest or your loved one's best interest. I hope you found this video to be helpful. If you did, please subscribe to our channel.
