Joe Minczewski explains how Bill Did It brought drummer Bill Cody's inventive percussion products to global markets. CBDC funding in New York was critical: it paid for equipment and production runs that let the company place products in stores and distributors worldwide. Without that capital, the company couldn't have launched.

Hi, I'm Joe Minczewski from Bill Did It. Bill Did It was set up to commercialize the inventions of a gentleman named Bill Cody out of Port Hawkesbury. Bill has created some really interesting and innovative products for the music industry, primarily for drums and percussion. We had some really interesting products that that we thought that the world would be very excited about, specifically musicians. And so we wanted to take those ideas to the world. We wanted to be able to create those brilliant products right here in Nova Scotia and sell them to drummers all over the globe. To put it really simply, we would never have gotten the business off the ground without CBDC's assistance in New York early days. They gave us the cash that we needed to be able to raise more money to be able to buy the equipment that we needed and to be able to commercialize our products, so make the first production runs and get them out into stores and into the hands of distributors and dealers that would ultimately sell them to musicians. You're introducing the world to new products that no one has ever seen. It really does take a lot of time. It takes a pretty concentrated marketing and sales effort, and that translates into money. And without that capital there, the world would never have seen these new products. We would never have been given the chance to get out there and show off these exciting new ideas. I don't think we'd be standing here today with the opportunity to continue to expand if not for Coastal's help.
