In this first‑person testimonial, the owners of Clinton Hills describe how they transformed a 1959 dairy barn on 92 acres in Clinton, Prince Edward Island into the province’s newest premier corporate meeting and wedding venue. With financial support from CBDC Central and the Prince Edward Island government, they installed a new roof, renovated the basement to enable year‑round operation, and upgraded from a prep kitchen to a full chef kitchen. These upgrades allowed them to expand services to corporate meetings, conventions, and destination weddings. Since the renovation, wedding bookings have doubled, attracting couples from locations such as San Francisco, Scotland, and Vancouver. The owners also outline plans to add on‑site accommodations overlooking the Southwest River, creating a complete venue package.

Clinton Hills is a 1959 dairy barn which my husband and I renovated over 2 years ago. It's nestled in 92 acres of property in Clinton, PEI, Prince Edward Island. It is Prince Edward Island's newest premier corporate meeting and wedding convention venue. At Clinton Hills, we have functions such as weddings, meetings, conventions, corporate parties. CBDC Central and Prince Edward Island has been great to help us expand our business. With the funds that we got from CBDC, we were able to put on a brand new roof, We were able to redo the basement of our facility, which enabled us to be a year-round facility. And before we had CBDC involved with us, we just had a prep kitchen, and now we have a full chef kitchen, which enables us to have corporate functions, business meetings, and weddings at our facility. We've been targeting destination weddings. Our business has grown from the first year. We have doubled our number of weddings. We have had weddings from San Francisco to Scotland, far away from Vancouver as well. We've had several corporate events. The other big part of our expansion in Clinton Hills is accommodations. We're on 92 acres in the central part of Prince Edward Island overlooking the Southwest River, and we are expanding expanding our facilities to, uh, have accommodations on site so that we can have the whole package here at Clinton Hills.
