Dizzy Ducks Day Nurseries | Infusionsoft

Shaun Whynacht built Dizzy Ducks Day Nurseries from one site to 150 staff with waiting lists, then used Infusionsoft to automate customer journeys. He says the software gave him back time with his kids, turning automation into actual freedom.

Being in the UK and working with an American-based business, I thought it was going to be quite hard to find people who had been using Infusionsoft and who could give me a testimonial to back up everything I saw on the website. But actually, once I did, the testimonials were just fantastic. People were just absolutely raving bonkers about the system and, you know, couldn't tell me enough about what it was going to do for me and my business. I'm Shaun Whynacht, I'm 33, I'm the director of Dizzy Ducks Day Nurseries, which are located in the South East of England. We're a childcare provider which offers exceptional childcare for our families and our children. We opened our first nursery with just 8 of us, me and my little office out the back, and we've now got 150 staff across all of our sites in the South East. When I was on maternity leave, I thought there's no way I can go back to a job in the city working 12-hour days, finishing work at 11 o'clock at night and juggling childcare for my own child. So I started to think about things that I could potentially do using my accountancy qualification. When Abby was about 3 months old, I started looking around local nurseries and that's when it hit me that the quality of care was just shocking and I thought I could do this better. I, I would not leave my pet dog with some of these nurseries, let alone my most precious darling little baby. So I started researching what it would take to open a daycare centre, and fast forward 2 years and we opened our first site. Within 6 months, that nursery was at capacity and we had a waiting list of about 95 children at that point. And I started to see that actually, if you deliver quality care, people will respond. Respond to that. So when a local nursery shut down later on the following year, we jumped and we took the lease of that site, we renovated it, and we filled that again within about 6 months. When I heard about Infusionsoft, I did a lot of research. I was just blown away by what it could do, and I didn't quite believe it at the time that it could really do those things for my business. Business. To start with, I thought I'd have to get really geeky and really techy, and, you know, I don't really understand coding or websites or stuff, and I just thought, oh, I'm really not going to understand this. I just love it. I love it a little bit more than I love my husband sometimes. It's just been so important for the growth of our business, and Fusionz has kind of opened my eyes to the possibilities that are out there for us. I like the fact that you can really steer someone's journey the path that you want them to go down. And actually, I think we're probably only using about 10% of it at the moment. I'm quite excited to get a little bit more into it. I want to be able to take my children on nice holidays. I want to be able to leave work at the drop of a hat and go to my kids' school play. To me, being my own boss is more than just earning the money to do nice things. It's having the freedom to see my children do the things that they're doing. There are no limits in the world, you know, you have exactly the same resources as anybody else who's made it. We all have the same number of minutes in the day and it's what you do with those minutes that's important.
