In this instructional video Shaun Whynacht outlines a tactical approach to using Facebook ads. He argues that new businesses should first validate their offer and organic content before spending on ads, treating ads as a way to amplify proven, successful material. He then introduces the Facebook Ads Library, showing how to locate it via Google and navigate its interface. Using a fitness‑coach search as an example, he demonstrates how the library displays active and inactive ads, creative assets (images, headlines, CTAs), spend ranges, and demographic targeting. He repeats the process with a home‑builder search, highlighting industry‑specific insights. Throughout, he emphasizes that the library is a source of inspiration—not a place to copy copy‑and‑paste content. The video also includes candid moments of technical hiccups, but the core message remains: use the Ads Library to study real‑world ad performance, then apply those learnings to your own validated offers.

Hey, thanks for joining me in this video. This is going to be talking about a tactical method when you're doing Facebook ads. So I am of the mindset that if you're starting out your business, Facebook ads is not the solution for you to reach more people. What you have to do first is figure out your organic and your content, because even though you're going to be pushing ads, if you're going to go to that method to push it on there, think of it like a campfire. You know, you can start there with a match to get that fire going. And then once it's going, if you were to add more fuel to it, it's going to get bigger and bigger. And that's what you got to think about your business is using ads to amplify a process that you know works and has been validated. So if you don't have your offer out yet, you don't know what you're selling, you're just going to start out, stay away from Facebook ads to begin with. But if you're an existing business and you already have an offer, you're able to generate sales and leads from your content. And you wanna run some ads now, and you wanna figure out what's the best way to do it, here's a resource that Facebook has called Ads Library, and you may not have known it even existed. And how do you get to it? Just go to Facebook Ads Library, just throw it in Google, it'll come up here. And when you go there, this is how it all works. So let's just say, you know what, you are a fitness coach, right? I could do multiple examples, but I'm just gonna go in and put, fitness coach. What's going to happen is it's going to go and it's going to bring up some different results here. These are actual ads that were run on the Facebook platform, and you can go ahead here and break it down. So this is in Canada, that's where I'm at. You can do active or inactive based on different impressions, um, different types of pages that they were trying to do, uh, things like this, ones that had disclaimers or not. So, um, let's just scroll through and it's going to really show you what kind of ads there were. Out there. So here's, here's a group fitness class by the looks of it. This is from Langley, Surrey, Fitness Challenges. Down here there's Meet Kitty, there's a video ad from a coach, there's a class from Breakfast Television. Let's just go back up to this one right here. Now the best part about this is one, you get to see the creative of what they're working with, so types of images and things of that nature, some of the headline text, the buttons they chose. But we go and we click See Ad Details, it's going to give us more metrics to look at. So we're going to be able to see that, you know what, what type of money did they spend on this ad? Who was it shown to? So you can kind of see the demographic here. But again, you can go in, you can actually see the full content of the ad if you want to get some help writing some copy. I strongly suggest you don't copy this word for word and plagiarize it, but you can see different ads and how they are actually performing. So let's go back and let's go and let's look at a different one in here. Let's look at this one here. Right, so here they spent between $100 to $499 Australian for this, and there's the different types of demographics they got in there. Now remember that I did say Canada, but that just means where the ad had been displayed. Canada was obviously one of the targeted regions in which this ad was promoted. Okay, so let's go back and we're gonna look for different types. So let's go ahead and let's put in here Home builder. All right, so now we got— this is Habitat for Humanity, we got CHI or CHBA, Efficiency Canada. So you can see a bunch of different ads that are in here. So you can break down by your specific industry. See here, we'll get this to load. My computer, whenever I'm doing these screen recordings, seems to want to take a little pause and a unionized break, I would say. So hopefully this will come back for me here. Still lets me scroll. Can't really do much more than that. So let's just refresh this and see where we get. All right, so there we go. Wait, exit page. Gotta love it when my browser decides to crap out on me. But anyway, I'm not going to re-record the video. I'm not going to start over. Things like this happen. I just wanted to, to show you this and check it out, the Facebook Ads Library. It's going to inspire you and give you some ideas for what type of content people are putting out there on ads and what type of ad spend and results they are getting.
