In this instructional video, Shaun Whynacht explains how marketers and business owners can find creative inspiration and competitive intelligence for Facebook and Instagram advertising by using the Facebook Ads Library. He starts by directing viewers to search for the library online, then defines the library as a searchable directory of all currently active ads on Facebook. He walks through the interface, showing how to filter searches by country, ad category (political, housing, employment, credit, or all), and keywords or advertiser names, noting that only ads that are actively running will appear. Using a Proactiv example, he demonstrates how to view ad details such as the platforms the ad is served on, launch date, and associated page information (followers, creation date, locations). He highlights useful features like copying an ad’s direct link for inclusion in presentations and accessing page history and summary data for deeper research. Throughout, he emphasizes the library’s value as a source of inspiration and a way to monitor competitors, while reminding viewers of the active‑ad limitation. The video concludes with a call to subscribe and a suggestion to explore other related videos on the Blue Cow channel.

So have you ever been looking at designing new ads for your business on Facebook or Instagram and you really needed some inspiration? Well, I wanna show you in today's video where you can find that inspiration. All you need to do is go to Google and search for Facebook Ads Library. Now, if you've never heard of Facebook Ads Library, keep watching. If you have and you've used it, you can stop the video and go on to one of our other great videos. But also, before you get started here, click subscribe if you haven't already subscribed to our channel. Now, what is Facebook Ads Library? This is a site where all active ads that are running on Facebook are available to be found through this search directory. So this is very much an inspirational site, in my opinion. If you are tasked with designing new ads, you want to see what's going on out there, or even you've got competition, you want to see what they're running, you know, and you, because you If you go to their page, you're not necessarily gonna see their ads, right? You need to be retargeted with those. So how this all works is you can search by a different country. Um, you have to pick the category here. Now there are different ad categories, like if you're running political ads, housing, employment, or credit, there's special categories for those, but we're just gonna choose all ads in this here. And then you can start to search for a keyword or an advertiser, keeping in mind that there are certain ones that will come up, but they aren't running any ads, so there's nothing that's gonna show. These are only showing active ads. That's a caveat there just to be aware of, that if your competition or who you're searching for does not have a current active ad, it's not gonna show up in here. Now I'm just gonna show you just some ideas, uh, of what's on the go. So I've already done some searches before and I'm gonna bring up, you know, a company called Proactiv. They're an acne company. So what you'll see when it comes up is, you know, their followings on Instagram and Facebook, when they were created, you know, what countries or people they're managing their pages, which areas they're from. And as you scroll down, you'll start to see all the different ads that are currently active, launched in May of 2021. So you can look at the ads and you can see which platforms they're on here, or they're being served to. So you can see what they're doing with them, get some ideas with that. If you have to do a presentation, maybe you are coming up with ideas, you have to suggest it to someone else or a boss or anyone along the lines. You can always just click these three dots here and click copy ad link. That will give you the link to that specific ad so you can put it in your presentation and or bring it up later in a document. So there's a lot of details that you can find on here on Facebook's ad library. You can also go into the see more on the page and get a summary of what it was created for. Created. Again, the page history, click on that. When it was created, if it was merged, you know, a lot of different pieces of data that you can see on that page just to do some initial research. So check it out. It's Facebook Ads Library. I know myself doing a lot of ads. I'm always going through here just seeing what, what's, what's out there, you know, what, what people are designing. Some new creative ideas as well. So thanks for watching and check out some of our other videos here on the Blue Cow channel.
