In this instructional video, Shaun Whynacht introduces the free Read-O-Meter tool (niram.org/read) that estimates how long it will take a reader to finish an article. He explains that displaying an estimated reading time (e.g., 3‑4 minutes) can increase the likelihood that users click and read a post. Shaun demonstrates the workflow: he copies a fully transcribed LinkedIn post, pastes the text into the Read-O-Meter, receives an estimate of 4 minutes 10 seconds, and then shows how to add that figure to the LinkedIn post copy. He concludes by encouraging viewers to use the tool to boost engagement and invites likes, subscriptions, and comments.

Hey guys, here's a great tool I found online that's going to calculate the length of time it would take somebody to read one of your articles. Why are we doing this? Well, a lot of times people are looking at your posts online and they don't know how much time your article is going to take to read. And in reality, when you see a read time of let's say 3 or 4 minutes, it's a lot easier for you to click to actually go ahead and read it. So this is the website here. It's niram.org/read. I'll include it in the comments below the video, but I'm going to show you how simple this is to use. So here is a post that I have created for one of our clients. Basically, we love to amplify content. She records a video, we use it in video format, we use it in podcasts, we transcribe it with Otter, and here it is fully transcribed. Obviously, we had to do some massaging just to format it for a LinkedIn post, but I'm going to copy that text. I'm going to come over here. I'm going to paste it in. I'm going to say estimate reading time, and it tells me the estimated reading time is 4 minutes and 10 seconds. So what I'm going to do is I'm just going to take that, and while I go ahead and go back to her post that we are going to post this here, and we're going to say estimated reading time, 4 minutes. So this is a great little additive to put into your posts. I bet you you're going to see an increase in people clicking and reading if you go ahead and do this. So check it out. It is the Read-O-Meter at niram.org/read. If you like this video, found it helpful, please like and subscribe to the channel.
