How To Automate The Collection Of Reviews & Referrals with NiceJob

In this video Shaun Whynacht explains how businesses can automate the gathering of social proof through NiceJob, a platform that streamlines review and referral collection. He begins by emphasizing the importance of client‑generated social proof over a company’s own marketing claims, then walks through the NiceJob dashboard. He shows the wide range of integrations (QuickBooks, FreshBooks, HubSpot, Intercom, Jobber, PayPal, Square, Xero, etc.) that let users import contacts for automated campaigns. The core of the system is the ability to build multi‑step review and referral campaigns with customizable touchpoints—SMS, email, and follow‑up messages—highlighting conversion data (14% SMS, 4% email) and the flexibility to toggle steps on or off. Referral automation is rule‑based, targeting customers who left a rating above 3.5 stars within the last 90 days. Shaun demonstrates the review submission UI, options for posting to Google, Facebook, BBB, or directly on NiceJob, and the workflow for moderating and enhancing reviews with photos before they appear on a website widget. He also covers auto‑sharing of new reviews to social media platforms and the inclusion of trust badges. Finally, he outlines NiceJob’s pricing (review plan $75/mo, convert website $99/mo plus setup fee) and a limited‑time 50% off promotion for four months, urging viewers to try the free trial. The video ends with a call to action to comment, subscribe, and take advantage of the discount.

Let me ask you this question. When you're dealing with buying a service or a product from a new company, would you listen to what the company has to say about themselves, or would you listen to what their clients or past clients have said about them? If you're like most people, you will rely on what their clients have said. We all know that's called social proof, but getting that social proof is not always the easiest thing to do. And in this video, I'm going to show you a great system on how to actually get it automate it, and grow your business. The company is called NiceJob, and we've done a review a year or so ago on our YouTube channel about them. But since then, they have really upped the game and included a lot of different features. We actually use them in our company to get our reviews and for Facebook and Google as well. So we're going to go dive behind the dashboard here and look under the hood and show you what is important in here. So let's go ahead and go right into the dashboard. Very simple in the setup. Uh, it does integrate with multiple different systems. So under the, the product settings here, um, we can go in and we can look at the, the settings. And let me just go here. Settings, referrals, settings for reviews, um, apps. That's what we're looking at. So under the apps side, when I first signed up, it was basically, you know, QuickBooks Online was the system they had. But since then they've integrated with a lot of different ones, FreshBooks, HubSpot, Intercom, Jobber, PayPal, Square, Xero, right? There's a bunch of ones that are in here that you can actually connect to, to the system. And why do you want to connect to them? Well, you want to bring these contacts into NiceJob so that they can take advantage of the automated campaigns. What do I mean by automated campaigns? Let's take a look at that. So in here we've got two real sections. You've got reviews and then you've got referrals. Think about it. You've got a client, you do an awesome job, you just knocked it out of the park. You want to ask them for a glowing review. So we're going to send out a campaign for that. They give a review. Now you're like, hey, is there anyone else who could benefit from our service or product? You want to ask for the referral. They brought it all in-house. Let's take a look at it. So in here, when you go into the system, we can go edit the campaign. What's different about this is you have a series of touchpoints that you can build out, or steps as they call it. Think about if you were just going to manage it yourself and you were going to send out an email and says, hey Joe, customer, I'd love if you gave me a Google review, and then you might put a link to your Google Places listing or Facebook or whatever the case may be. And they have to choose at that point where they want to give that review. And one thing you never want to do is get them to just email you the review and you post it because that is not authentic. People are going to, you know, the BS meter is going to go off. People are just not going to believe it. It needs to come from the person. It needs to have that level of authenticity. So what I love about this is one click and this campaign will then fire. So as you see in here with our review asking campaign, we've got an SMS that goes out to them. And basically it goes out and says, hey, customer name, it'll merge in the information. If you love Blue Cow Marketing, would you mind leaving us a review? Here's your link. And they click on this link and they can go and leave us a review. So I'm just going to copy that link anyway because I'm going to show you what it looks like in a second. And that goes out 0 days. So immediately after I do that, and then 2 days later, we got this email that's going to go out to them by email. So not text message first and by email. And the reason I've done it that way is if we went and looked at the stats here, just go back to here. Let's hit done on that and done on this one. So we'll see that we have a 14% conversion rate on SMS and a 4% on email. We've had way more emails that come through. So people are actually leaving that review on that first touchpoint. So why not make it the higher conversion rate, which is SMS. I mean, that's what people open. Now you could go ahead and add other ones. So after 5 days and another email here, so you can add multiples in here, easy click on it, pop up, and then you can go ahead and just type whatever you want in the email and build that email the way that you choose. Just use a toggle here to turn them on and off, right? You can add other steps and multiple steps in the process. Now when it comes to your referrals, same type of thing. This is new. I've not used it yet. I've not implemented it, but the idea is people to match your rules. So people within the last 90 days who left a rating higher than 3.5 stars, right? So if it's over 3.5, then you're gonna have this fire and automatically ask them for review or sorry, um, ask them for a referral. So big thanks here. You left for Blue Cow Marketing. Know any friends or neighbors that could use your help in marketing? Recommend this link. They click on the link that gives them, and then they can submit that information, uh, to you. So really a great way to automate it. Now when these reviews come in or when they leave a review, let's go ahead and look at the page that they would get. Checkboard. So this is where they're going to get— it's going to pop up and it's going to say, um, like Blue Cow Marketing, others here. So you get to choose, right? So they get the option of choosing, and you can choose which ones you want if you're using, you know, your service-based business. And there's other ones for your, let's say, construction industry. Uh, there are options for those as well. You can see other review options for the Better Business Bureau, or if you don't have an account in any of these, you can give it right on the NiceJob site, which is really a great option. So when they leave those reviews, then they can go ahead and leave that review and it comes into the system. Now when it comes through, it comes in as a story, right? So it comes in here and I've got mine set not to auto-publish unless I review them, because what I like to do is I like to go ahead and put a photo on them so I can go in and I can actually edit that story and upload a photo of the client or something that represents that client into that. And the reason that I want to do that is because on our website, we get a little line of code that we can embed in here and people can see this great collage of all the reviews that are generated by NiceJob from clients that we've worked with, which is really awesome. You know, the other thing that they do, I don't know if it'll show up here because I'm logged in, but there's usually a little popup that'll come up in the bottom left-hand corner here that says so-and-so left. Yeah, because I'm logged in, it won't show me it, but left. Oh, there we go. Yep. So Madonna left a 5-star review. They can go ahead and they can look at that and then they can scroll through the other reviews here. So really a great way to present your, your social proof that way. So when we come into the settings, just want to go back here and look at the product settings with you. You know, we've got social media here so you can choose and you can connect your accounts that you want to, you know, be able to share that out on because you can also auto have it or auto share. So the moment you get a review, it can auto share it out to the different accounts. Here are the review sites. Capterra, Citysearch, G2. So you can see some that are here. Yelp, Yellow Pages, Zillow, all those. You've got your trust badge. You can also go ahead and put a form on your website where people can just go in there and give their review right on the website. Right? Just a really great— maybe it's on the right-hand side, or maybe it's on, you know, a page that you send them to. So you can build all that out as well. So there's a lot of functionality in here. For collecting leads, again, get an instant estimate. So if you're in a service-based business, you can go ahead and put that in there, and it'll actually generate a lead, and then you can go follow up with them as well. So the benefit with NiceJob right now at the time of recording this. Now if you're watching this video after the end of May 2022, this offer does not apply to you. But if you're watching it right now, they are offering 50% off of their service, their, their tool for 4 months. Right? So if you go look at the pricing here of how they structure everything, just see if we can get to where the pricing is. Right there. Okay. So the review side, uh, is $75 a month. Most popular gets you the Google reviews that are here, um, as well. Um, and then once you go into the convert website here for $99 a month with a $399 setup fee, um, this is, you know, an enhanced feature, but 90% of my clients have used this. Um, and it's based off the amount of reviews that you're going to be collecting. So 2,500, right? And then the price will go up from there, just like any scaled software system. Now when you go ahead and you say start for free, it's not going to show you in here that the 50% is there, but the moment that it would then go ahead and you create your account, it's going to tell you that it's that 50% off. So 50% off this for 4 months, really great opportunity, no obligation past that, no contracts. So if you want to just do it for 4 months, see how it works, get those reviews, if you delete the account after, you're still going to have those Google and Facebook reviews on your account. So a great way to get started with that, um, highly recommend you know, you have a system, um, of some sort to collect reviews. And this is the best one that I've seen so far for getting those type of things. So if you have any questions or comments about what you saw about the system, please leave it in the comments below the video. Uh, if you found this helpful, like, subscribe to the channel, and happy to create these for you. So again, check it out. Nice job. 50% off the next 4 months until the end of May 2022.
