In this step‑by‑step video tutorial, Shaun Whynacht of Blue Cow Marketing walks viewers through enabling and configuring the Facebook Page appointment booking feature. After confirming admin access, he navigates to the Page Settings → Appointment Settings and launches the setup wizard. He demonstrates how to define available scheduling windows (e.g., Monday‑Friday 9 am‑5 pm, adding or removing time blocks), set appointment approval preferences, and control advance‑notice limits for both minimum (e.g., 3 hours) and maximum (e.g., 3 months) booking windows. He shows how to sync a Google Calendar, choose the granularity of start‑time slots (30‑minute default, with 15‑minute option), and add multiple services (video production, social media consulting, Infusionsoft). The tutorial also covers enabling automatic reminders and optional follow‑up messages, then previews the customer booking flow by selecting a service, picking a time, and submitting contact information. The video ends with a call‑to‑action to like, subscribe, and share. The purpose is to make Facebook page owners aware of and proficient in using the built‑in appointment system to streamline client scheduling.

Hi, Shaun Whynacht here with Blue Cow Marketing. This tutorial, I'm going to show you the appointment booking section of your Facebook page, and if you didn't know it existed, then please watch. Now, you know that a lot of people have been able to give functionality for booking appointments, being able to look at somebody's calendar and book a time where you want to meet with them when they're available. Now Facebook now has that functionality, and And how do you get to it is you need to go into the Facebook page settings. You obviously have to be an admin of your page. When you get in here, you're gonna go down to the left side on the bottom. You're gonna go to appointment settings. Now once we're in here, we can go through the, the tutorial to get started. We're gonna go get started and it's gonna pop up and it's gonna say start setup. So the first thing is we need to show your available appointments. So we're gonna click next. And we're going to then set the time schedule for the windows in which Facebook is going to look at your calendar and say, hey, are you available? So by doing this, it doesn't mean that you are saying, okay, people can always book between 9 and 5 even if I've got appointments in there. It's going to take into account what is in your connected schedule or calendar, uh, within this time slot. So we have by default set up Monday to Friday. 9 to 5. Now if you want to add other times in here, let's say you take lunch off and you want to come back at like 6 o'clock and go to like, say, 9 PM, you can do that and have a break in between. We don't do that, we're going to get rid of that. So now we're going to click Next, and we've got some options that come up here. So appointment approvals— do you want to manually approve appointments before they're confirmed by your customers? We like to have that on just in case there's something we didn't get into our schedule and we don't want to have a double booking happening. The next option is advance notice. This controls how much advance notice or how far into the future people can schedule appointments. So you don't want people to be able to book, you know, like a year down the road. So you have that control here. So you also don't want people to book last minute with you. So let's say we're gonna go within 3 hours timeframe. So obviously if somebody goes to book now, they're not gonna be able to book within 10 minutes from now. It's gonna only show availability for the next 3 hours onward. And then advance notice, 6 months. We're just going to go 3 months in here. Now under sync calendar, now we already connected our calendar, so ours are showing up here with our Google Calendar. We're going to check the calendar it's going to look, which is going to be our Blue Cow Marketing calendar. And then the start time display, so this selects the appointment start times that are available within the hours, so people can book appointments starting within these times. So by default, most cases it's within 30 minutes, so it's going to show them like 9, 9:30, 10, 10:30, but you get the option to change these if you want to do shorter appointments like on the 15-minute intervals. You can go ahead and do that. Now we're going to leave mine set at 30 minutes. So we're going to click next. And now we can review the services. So we're going to click next and go take a look. And we can add in different services that you offer. So in our case, we've got video production, we've got social media consulting, and we've got Infusionsoft in here. As the 3 services that we want to talk about. Now I'm going to go ahead later and add in a couple more, but in this case for the demo, just so you're not sitting around watching me do all this, we're not going to add other ones. But if you need to, you're just going to click Add a Service, fill out the information, and click Save. Now go ahead and we're going to click Next. And now Reminders— automatically send customers a reminder of their upcoming appointment. We're going to say yes. Follow-up messages— automatically send customers a message after their appointment has been booked with you again, or to book a message— sorry, automatically send customers a message after their appointment to book with you again. Okay, so in this case, let's say it's a follow-up appointment. So if you've got that type of model in your business, you can have a follow-up message go out to them where they can schedule it, you know, 2 weeks after the last appointment, or 2 months, and so, so forth. We don't offer that, we don't need that, so we're going to turn that off. Now we're going to go view calendar or try the button now. So we're going to click on this, it's going to pop up, it's going to say, okay, what service? Let's do social media. We can click on this, and now we can go ahead and we can pick and look at times in the future. So this is fully integrated with Facebook, so people are able to then choose those times, from the calendar. Once they do that, they pick a time, put in their number, request the appointment, and everything goes on from there. So if you want to be using appointments and you're using Facebook a lot, this is a great option, uh, to integrate with your page. And you can find it again under your settings and under appointment settings. So thanks for watching.
