Hi, I'm Liz Dickinson and I'm the owner of Little River Holistic Therapies. Little River Holistic Therapies here in Digby, it's a multidisciplinary clinic. I am the Chinese medicine and acupuncturist person here. There are several other therapists that work here in the clinic offering lots of different services. Here in the clinic we have people that offer massage therapy, reflexology, professional counselling and nutrition advice as well. CBDC, I accessed their services many years ago when I first arrived here. Initially, it was very much, um, just help and advice. They helped me set up my own website. They put me into contact with a really, really good business advisor that was super helpful. I've been on several courses that they've offered. That's a great way to network, and again, courses have been really, really helpful to me. And then latterly I've actually utilised their financial services. CBDC have helped me go from a one-therapist organisation to having a more professional setting, a more professional clinic here in Digby, where obviously other therapists are here and other people can access more than one service, and it's very much a collaborative practice, so very different from the days when it was just me carrying my equipment door-to-door. They really did help me to expand my services. I would say the main challenge I faced was to actually find a really good building because it's quite a small community. The right type of building, it doesn't come up very, very often, and obviously when we saw the place that we have now, it just felt perfect. And with CBDC and their backing, we were able to purchase the building ourselves.
