My Review of Metricool as a business owner and marketer

In this video Shaun Whynacht introduces Metricool, a social media and web analytics platform he discovered on AppSumo offering a $49 lifetime deal. He walks through the sign‑up process, connecting social accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google My Business) and a WordPress plugin for website tracking. Shaun demonstrates the unified analytics dashboard, showing web traffic stats, post performance, competitor tracking, and ad performance (especially Facebook ads) without leaving the platform. He highlights real‑time visitor monitoring and a unified inbox for messages across channels. The planning section covers creating and scheduling posts, adding images, linking URLs (noting the lack of preview), boosting posts, and handling Instagram’s push‑notification workflow. Shaun also shows how to generate custom monthly reports with branding. He concludes with a positive rating, emphasizing the $49 price point as a strong value for business owners, and includes an affiliate link for viewers.

Hey, today we're going to be looking at a really cool tool for your business and for keeping you in tune with what's happening in your different social media channels, your website traffic, but also giving you the ability to schedule out content. That's right, we're going to be taking a look at Metricool. Now, I heard about Metricool just, oh, probably less than 24 hours ago. It came to me through AppSumo, a great site that has a lot of great deals. Now, this is where I got this one, this is where I'm going to recommend you get it as well. But the first thing, let's get things cleared up here. If you like this video, any other videos, you're not subscribed yet to our YouTube channel, go ahead and do that now, or at the end of the video when you get posed with that opportunity to do it. So Metricool offered through AppSumo lifetime deal, only $49 US for this. And what I've seen so far with it, it is a great platform. Now, if you are running your own business using any type of social media— Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn— whatever it is, you should have a tool like this. And what I love about Metricool, once we jump into it, is not only does it give you the ability to analyze and see how your different channels are doing, how you're trending, but it gives you the ability to schedule out content. I know, right? Pretty cool. So let's hop over right now. And if you do want it, I have an affiliate link in the description of the video. Show some love, click that link. Gives me a little bit of a reward for you to do it. You still get the same pricing anyway. So here we are inside of Metricool. Love the name, by the way. Looking for a cool tool? Why not Metricool, right? So on the left-hand side, you got all your different channels connected. And when I, when I signed up, it was really quite easy. It posed me with the questions to click on it and just log into each of those as you go through the different steps, and it connects everything for you. So with the web and the blog, they even have a WordPress plugin that you can install, which is what I did. Now it's only pulling data from the moment you install it. So it's not retroactive, going to look back in time. So moving forward, you're going to build upon that data. So my web analytics here, right? So as we scroll down, we're seeing this, we're seeing, you know, ranking of posts. These are blog posts here, visitor countries, all very similar stuff that you would see in like Google Analytics, right? But having it all in one place, uh, different page views, so you can see what your top page views are, you know, getting over to Twitter. Now you can look at your community here, and obviously this is pulling from back data as well. And you'll start to see your trends moving forward as you go through the different platforms or through the different days, interactions, ranking of your tweets. You can add in competitors, which is really cool. You can put in, you know, some of your competitors' Twitter handles, and then we'll actually see how their followers are, how many tweets, likes, retweets, and all that kind of stuff that you need to know. Facebook, we've got the same type of thing. We see our growth patterns, follower balances, genders. Again, all stuff that you would see in other metrics, but now in one platform. Okay. We don't need to go through all those. What I love about the Facebook ads side too is if you're running any type of Facebook ads, um, you can really see in here how they're performing without actually having to go into the Facebook ads manager. Now, while the Facebook ads manager is quite a powerful tool, it can be a bit daunting for somebody who doesn't doesn't spend a lot of time in there. And if you've got somebody running ads for you, like an agency, some kind of like we do at Blue Cow Marketing for clients, you as an actual business owner can have it connected to this and you can see how your ads are performing, which is really awesome. Got Instagram, you got LinkedIn, Google Ads, which we don't have set up, and Google My Business set up in here. So showing how many different queries have come through Google, it's still synchronizing anyway. Um, views, clicks, all that kind of data. Okay, perfect. Now also you can go into real time, so you can go and see real-time visitors that are on your website. So right now, nobody right now, but if I just pop over here, let me just see, let me hop on the website, let that load. This number should in a few seconds pop up to be 1. Takes, takes a few minutes for it to fully load and then it actually hits that, moves forward. Okay. So it's going to give you real-time, uh, statistics on, on people that are on your site, uh, as well as these details here. Okay, so there we go. Now we're 1. So you can kind of see in real time where you're at. So, um, this is kind of a fun thing to do is if you send out an email blast, maybe for your website for a promotion where you're going to send people to your site, send it out and then go check this out and you can see your peaks and, uh, times of people coming in there. Uh, tracking you know, real-time tracking for Twitter. You can go in here and put in different details here, um, saved hashtags and all that fun stuff. Okay, messages. Let's see what we got in here. Now messages, you know, I had a client the other day that asked me, you know, what's the easiest way to keep track of, um, you know, incoming messages, you know, from different platforms, right? This is really cool because now you can use your Facebook Messenger here. You can see different chats that come in. You can go in here. This I think might be comments. I'm not sure what this one is. So these are back and forth that you have in details. These are, these are comments on different posts that you make and your replies back to them. Instagram, Twitter, and Google. Before I get into the planning side, the other part which is new here is the ads side. Now we saw the statistics or the analytics on ads in the first part under Evolution., but in ads here, now we can go in and we can actually go into the different ad campaigns. Now I don't have anything running. This one's paused right now. Um, but you can go even further and see the different ads and the details on those different ads, the amount spent, the impressions. So again, a really a great tool as a business owner to have. Okay. For only $49, you can't go wrong. Now, planning. Now the planning, this is where you look at, okay, You know, let's create some content to put out there, right? So let's go and share a new post. So let's go, you know, I'm gonna go on, um, here, let me just go to the website here. Um, go take a blog post from our website. My computer's probably gonna try to ring here for me. There we go. Let's, uh, here's a good one. So I'm gonna go ahead and here, just gonna snap that into my clip, put 'em back here. And let's say we wanna post this on, let's go on Facebook. Okay. And you can see it can do more than one, right? So I can post it all at once. So I'm gonna go in here and I'm gonna put in the URL and hopefully it should start to parse it. I don't know if it will. Again, I've not tried this, uh, to see if it would do that or not. It doesn't look like it's going to parse. By parse, I mean, you know, give a preview of that post. Okay, so looking to create a remote team. Now, that being said, I don't know, we're going to give this a test if it will actually— let's see preview here. No, it's going to look like a text. Post there. I can put in an image, so I'm going to click on this. It's going to pop. So what I'm going to do here is I'm going to pop on over here. I'm going to take this image. I'm going to save it. Okay, so, you know, obviously not all the reviews we do are all rainbows and unicorns, but you know what, this does give us the ability to put some content in here. So, um, it was to parse out those URLs and give a preview. That would have been a better feature of it for the scheduling side. So let's see what this would look like now. Okay, so not too bad. You can put in your images, you can put in the text, and there's going to be the link. It'll be hyperlinked when it posts. Okay. Um, and then we can also schedule it so we don't need to go in and send it right now. We can schedule it for a time in the future, no problem. And we can also boost that post. So we can put in dollar amounts here to boost it if you've got your ads account set up. There's a little setting gear here. Let's see what this would do. Uh, mobile notifications. Um, yeah, so If you're using Instagram, if you're scheduling anything for Instagram, it can't post to Instagram directly. And there are many platforms that can't do that anyway, but there is a mobile app that you can get, uh, for this. Looking up the Metricool, I already put it on my phone. And what it would do is if you turn this on and you're posting to Instagram, it'll actually send you a push notification with the image, the text, to go ahead and post it into your Instagram, which is very similar, right? It's not a bad thing, um, it's just the way that Instagram is locked down to not allowing you do that. Okay, so now we're going to hit the save that there and we'll go there. Perfect. Now, and there it is in the calendar. So as we can see, we can start to build out our different content and put it in here. If we want to move it, I'm sure we can just drag and drop just like that and it moves it around. Okay, so I'm going to go ahead and leave it right there and let it do its thing when it needs to. Okay, so All in all, when we look at this, $449, the metrics alone, well worth it. The other thing that I didn't point out in here is you can generate yourself a report. So you don't have to come in here every day and look up this stuff. You can say, okay, let's do a report here. It's got the different insights. You can say what you want to report on, put in your logo for your business, and you can also receive every month by email that report. Okay, pretty cool. So my rating on this, you know what, it's pretty good. It's, it's got everything that you would need to keep on track with what you're doing in your business. The scheduling gives you the ability to schedule out content, which is awesome if you're not using anything else. And for me, $49, you can't go wrong. So again, if you love this video, subscribe like I said in the beginning. And also, if you want this offer, below this video in the, the comments to it will be the link for my affiliate code so you can grab this cool tool. Thanks for watching.
