In this instructional video, Natalie and David from House of Auto Details introduce and demonstrate the Optimum line of car‑detailing products aimed at DIY enthusiasts. They begin with the Optimum Polymer Technologies No Rinse Wash and Shine, explaining its high concentration (½ oz per gallon), the use of a grit guard, and how a single bucket can provide 10‑20 washes. They then differentiate the No Rinse Wash and Wax, noting its temporary wax boost that lasts about a week. The discussion moves to the water‑based Optimum Tire Gel, applied with a foam applicator for a sling‑free finish, with options to let it dry or wipe it off for varying sheen. Next, they present Opti‑Seal, a lightweight hydrophobic sealant that can be sprayed on panels, trim, windows, and provides water‑beading without the haze associated with traditional wax. The unique Big Red Sponge, serrated to trap dust and compatible with the Optimum formulas, is highlighted as a durable alternative to microfiber or chamois. They then cover Optimum Car Wax, which can be applied over trim and glass without discoloration and can be used either after drying or sprayed on a wet vehicle for simultaneous drying and waxing. Finally, the Optimum Clean Concentrate is described as a spray‑and‑wipe solution ideal for water‑restricted regions and quick show‑car touch‑ups, encapsulating dirt to prevent scratches. Throughout, the hosts emphasize water savings, ease of use, and the versatility of the product line for enthusiasts seeking professional‑grade results at home.

Hi, this is Natalie at House of Auto Details, and I'm Dave. Today we want to share with you some products that we believe can help make your detailing experience better. For those of you who are enthusiasts and like to use the best products for your vehicle, we have a line of products that we think are are some of the best products that you can find for detailing. David, would you like to tell us more about them?
Sure. I think first of all we should talk about is Optimum Polymer Technologies No Rinse Wash and Shine. Now this product is by far a superior way to wash your vehicle. Not only does it save you time, but it also saves water as well. This product is highly concentrated. You would only add half an ounce per gallon. So if you make a 5-gallon bucket, That's 2.5 ounces, and you would use the solution until— ideally you would have a grit guard in the bottom of your bucket, and you would use the solution until you've gotten down nearly to that grit guard before you would throw it away. So that would give you, I would say, up to 20— 10 to 20 washes per car, depending on how, how much of the product you use or the size of your vehicle.
So here's a grit guard that you would place in the bottom of your bucket when you're using that product. This product is superior in terms of keeping grit, dirt, and so on at the bottom of your bucket and not contaminating the water that you're using for your wash. Can you tell us about the tire gel?
Sure, this is Optimum's tire gel. It's a water-based product, and you would use a foam applicator such as this one. Squeeze it on, and after you clean your tires, you would just rub it around, and you can let it dry, or you can wipe it off with a dry cloth depending on the sheen that you want, and you will have zero tire sling, meaning such as the solvent ones, you put it on and you drive away and it ends up spattered all over the side of your vehicle.
One of the products that I like using here at House of Auto Details is the No Rinse Wash and Shine. This is a product that we think people who love their car will love. Can you tell us where we would use this and why you think it's a good, a good choice?
Well, the Wash No Rinse Wash and Wax is just kind of as the name implies. It is the same product as the Wash and Shine, but it comes with a wax in it as well to give you a bit of a an extra gloss booster when washing with it. It's not a durable wax, it's more of a wash-to-wash kind of a wax. It might last you a week or so. So as often as you wash your car, you're adding a little bit of extra protection to that vehicle.
One of the things that people don't realize is that wax, it's a great product, but it only lasts for a short time. It comes from a carnauba plant, so it wears away off of your vehicle. One of the things that we use here at House of Auto Details is a product called Opti-Seal. Where would you recommend this most, David?
This can be applied all over the exterior of the vehicle. Now, as many of you know, I'm sure, have used wax at home and you get it on the textured plastics or on the wheels or around your windows and you get that terrible white pasty haze on there that's almost impossible to get rid of. This product takes very little of the product. You would spritz it on your applicator and just glide it along the panel, and if you haven't put too much on, it will just evaporate away. But you can just check it if there's any high spots, just take your quality microfiber towel and just, and just buff it off lightly. Now this product can be used, as I said, on the trim. You can use it on the windows. It has great hydrophobic properties, so you can put it on your windshield and you'll get that— the water just beading off when it rains. It's an extremely easy product to use and gives you great results.
One of the special items that we use here at House of Auto Details that is an Optimum product only is the Big Red Sponge. This sponge is quartered— I'm sorry, it's serrated with these little squares that trap dust and dirt when you wash your vehicle. We don't use the traditional microfiber cloths or the hand chamois for washing cars. We use the Big Red Sponge with the Optimum No Rinse as well as with the No Rinse Wash and Shine. This you can leave in your bucket with the product, and it is made specifically to work With these products, it won't get hard, it won't start shredding at the ends. It's an excellent tool for detailing.
Okay, so here we have Optimum's Car Wax for those of you that do like to use a wax. Now this, unlike traditional waxes, it can be applied over trim and glass as well. It will not leave any kind of discoloration on the plastics. So there are a couple of ways to use this. You can either— you can wash the vehicle and dry it and then just spritz it on and buff it off with your microfiber cloth. Or a quick way to do it is after you've washed your vehicle with, with your Optimum No Rinse and your big red sponge, before you dry the vehicle, you would take your Optimum Car Wax, spritz it on the wet vehicle, and as you dry, you're drying and waxing at the same time. Very economical and a great time saver.
The Optimum Clean Concentrate is also a product that we recommend a lot for our enthusiast detailers. We have lots of them that come into House of Auto Details. David, can you tell us where an enthusiast would use this spray and wipe product?
Well, this product can actually be used as a standalone method of washing your vehicle. It's developed for primarily for places like California and other places that have water restrictions. But what we like to recommend it is for the person that goes to the car show and you get a little bit of dust and whatever on your vehicle. Traditionally, people would use a quick detailer, which is okay, but it doesn't have the ability to encapsulate the dirt and dust and, and kind of bring it away from the surface of the vehicle to inhibit scratches as you wipe it off. So you would just mist it on and wipe it off like you would any kind of a wax or a quick detailer.
So David has talked about all the products here that we have on the table— the Optimum No Rinse, we've talked about the Big Red Sponge, we've talked about Opti-Seal. We have these products here available at House of Auto Details. And we would like to show you how to use them. I know that this technology is so new and so modern that it may seem strange that the things that we talk about, you know, using the sponge or washing your car 20 times with the same bucket of water. Come on in, we'd like to talk to you more about how to use Optimum.
