In this introductory video, Shaun Whynacht, host of two podcasts and founder of Blue Cow Marketing, explains why podcasting is a powerful tool for sharing expertise, building a personal brand, and driving business growth. He outlines the series' goals: guiding viewers through idea generation, essential audio‑only technology, low‑cost recording methods (even using a smartphone), and future lessons on editing and troubleshooting. Shaun emphasizes that podcasts can showcase a business owner's personality, involve staff and customers, and create entertaining, educational content that attracts repeat listeners without requiring expensive studio gear.

Hi, my name is Shaun Whynacht. I am the host of 2 podcasts here with my business at Blue Cow Marketing, and in this series of videos, I'm going to be walking you through what you need to know to create your own podcast. Podcasting is a phenomenal way to get your knowledge out there to an audience. It's also a great way to grow your, your fan base and also increase sales in your business, believe it or not. And it doesn't have to be a show that's all about selling. One of the great things about podcasts are that they allow you to portray the true personality of yourself personally as a business owner, but you can also pull in your staff, your customers. You can use that expertise that is 360 degrees around your business and really create a podcast that people find entertaining, educational, and they want to listen to over and over again. So that's the hope I have for this series, is to show you How to create a podcast. We're going to be talking about how to come up with an idea. We're going to be talking about the technology. Obviously you're going to need microphones. A podcast that we're going to be talking about is audio. We're not talking about a videocast, so it's strictly audio. We're going to talk about the technology you need and based on how you're going to record it because you don't necessarily need to have all this type of equipment with expensive mixers and studio-style microphones to actually start your podcast. Believe it or not, you can start a podcast with just one of these. You probably have it in your pocket, your cell phone. So we're going to look at that. And then I've got some examples and tips and tricks and all that bag of goodies that we're going to walk you through, including some lessons on how to edit audio and what you do if there are some issues with the audio. So I look forward to walking you through and teaching you and bringing you along this journey of the podcast world. So let's get started and let's look forward to the next video.
