In this short instructional video, Shaun Whynacht of Blue Cow Creative explains how to structure a social media strategy around small, attainable goals. He argues that aiming for massive follower counts can be overwhelming, so instead marketers should break objectives into bite‑size tasks that can be completed in as little as ten minutes per day, such as finding and sharing a relevant video. Whynacht also highlights free tools—Google Alerts, Twitter and other social searches—to help discover and curate engaging content efficiently. The video concludes with a call‑to‑action to visit BlueCowCreative.ca and the company blog for further tips.

Hi, it's Shaun from BlueCowCreative.ca. We're going to talk about your social media strategy again today, but more so let's talk about goals. Goals are one of the important things you need to take into consideration when you are planning out your social media. And well, I want to tell you, set your goals small. Now you might say, why do it small? I want to look at the big picture. I want to have like 10,000 fans on Facebook. Well, that's all fine and dandy, but really you got to take small steps to get there. So set those small goals. Goals. That way they're going to be easily attainable for you over time. So the next thing is make sure that your goals are attainable because you can achieve a great milestone as little as 10 minutes a day. So, you know, set things like, hey, I'm going to set and going to find a really great video that my fans or my customers are going to find informational or humorous. Set those goals and go ahead and do that. It takes as little as 10 minutes a day to set and achieve those little milestones. And the last thing you need to do is use tools that are available. There are lots of great social media tools out there for finding engaging content. You can use things like Google Alerts, you can do different social media and Twitter searches. It just makes things a whole lot easier if you use those resources because there is so much content out there that you can filter and push out to the people that are important to you, your customers, and your clients. So set those goals for your social media strategy, just don't go into it willy-nilly. I'm Shaun Whynacht from Blue Cow Creative. Set your goals, use the tools, and you'll be on your way to a great social media presence. Check out our website at BlueCowCreative.ca and our blog for more great tips.
