In this presentation Shaun Whynacht critiques traditional drip‑email campaigns, arguing that prospects rarely read unsolicited emails unless they expect them. He introduces "agentic marketing automation" – the practice of training an AI‑powered agent to handle follow‑up conversations across email, web chat, and text. Rather than scripting each individual message, marketers build a virtual employee within their automation platform that can engage prospects in a conversational, context‑aware manner. Whynacht explains how this shift from static cadences to dynamic dialogue boosts engagement and sales conversions, while freeing marketers from the labor of constantly writing and sequencing emails. He urges businesses to adopt agentic automation to improve response rates, deliver personalized answers, and focus on higher‑value work.

What I'm noticing myself is that people don't read emails unless they're expecting to receive them. Gentek basically means using an AI agent to follow up with your prospects in the nurture. So you're going away from the idea of drip and going towards the idea of conversation engagement. Now, you may have spent a lot of time writing emails, so you got a free lead magnet, a free offer, maybe it's a book, a free course, or, or even somebody just books a consult with you and you have follow-up in place or you want to build follow-up that will reach out to people in a cadence after that action. So you spend a lot of time, you write these emails, you're like, I'm putting all this great content in here and everything and my prospects are gonna read all this email because they can't wait to get it. Well, here's the reality. It's not happening for you. Now, when we look at using things like Agentic marketing automation, What you're doing is instead of programming each single email, you are training the AI agent within the software. And so think about it that way is it's like having an employee that you can start to build within your software automation that will then help continue that conversation along the way. So that's the change, the shift that's happening with marketing automation And sales automation, sales enablement, where people can start to engage with your agents on your website, by text, by email, so that you can be focused on the work that you're doing and the conversations can start to grow. This is seeing huge improvements in engagement, in sales conversions, because people are getting the answers they want. That are custom to the messages that they are sending versus you relying or having to think about what email should be sent next along the way, then I would seriously suggest looking into how you can enable agentic marketing automation into your business.
