The Live Recording Of A Marketing Video

In this live‑recorded video Shaun Whynacht tests his newly acquired ATEM Mini Pro, showcasing a compact multi‑camera livestream studio. He demonstrates switching between up to four camera inputs, using picture‑in‑picture, and projecting a desktop background via a Google Chromecast, while recording the feed locally for later editing. After the technical demo, Shaun shifts to a marketing lesson, introducing an "ocean‑river‑stream" metaphor to help business owners structure online offers. The "ocean" represents the high‑value core product (e.g., one‑on‑one coaching), the "river" is a paid, lower‑commitment chunk of that core (e.g., a course or trial), and the "stream" is a free lead magnet that lets prospects dip their toes. He explains how to break down a flagship program into tiered products, create free entry points, and move prospects from shoreline awareness (social ads, content) through streams and rivers toward the ocean, emphasizing that not every prospect will reach the ocean and that’s acceptable. The video ends with Shaun wrapping up the test and urging viewers to subscribe.

There we go. Look at that, audio. That would have been helpful before for you guys, right? So you've been watching the first bit and you're like, I can't hear ya, what's going on? So I'll re-explain what it is. I'm doing a test. I've never used the ATEM Mini Pro before. I got it, I got it set up here in the office, but I'm doing a live streaming event coming up this Wednesday and I wanted to test out the setup here. But at the same time, I'm gonna record a marketing video. So I'm just doing a test out here to the channel for that. Great little system here. I mean, I've got, you can have multiple cameras, up to 4 cameras. Set up. I've just got this one here. I got a second one over here that's not turned on, which I can probably just fire that— uh, no, it's not plugged in. So, but I do have a computer hooked up so I can change the input. And you can see there's, uh, there's my desktop feed, uh, here to the right. So I can switch back to myself. Some other cool things, uh, you can do with this, uh, let's just see if I can figure this all out here. I can do picture-in-picture. Let's go. What's this? Boom, look at that, there I am in both. Let's go there. And then I can do picture-in-picture on, there we go. Look at that. So on the top right, bottom, over around here. So you can do some cool stuff with your picture-in-picture. Um, but aside from that, um, I'm really happy with it. We're gonna see the quality of this stream here in a second. So I'm gonna just get ready and I'm gonna record the, um, the video here. All right. You don't normally get to see this part of, uh, of it. So here we go. And like I mentioned, I'm recording locally into that camera. And that's the one I'm going to edit into the YouTube video. Oh, so hold on here, we got— we're not seeing the background. Let me just reshare that. So, the joys of There we go. View. So what I'm doing here is I got a computer, I got a Google Chromecast connected to it, and I'm just sharing the desktop view, uh, of an image, uh, over there to the, to the background. So a really cool way to set up a, a studio for you. So Here we go. This video's gonna be about your online offer. So if you've ever been wondering how to create an online offer for your business, whether you've got a, a brick and mortar business, a professional service business, or even an online business, in today's video I'm gonna be showing you a concept of how to think about marketing your business through an online offer. All right, so just so you know, I do kind of two parts. There's a teaser and then there's a little bumper that gets edited in there, and then I'm gonna get back to the main video here. All right, let's get started right into this. I'm Shaun with Blue Cow Marketing, and I'm going to talk to you about a concept about how to think about your business when marketing online. And I'm going to do it in a way that you can really understand the reference. Think about the biggest part of your business, the biggest offer. Usually that's the most high-value offer. So in our business with coaching and consulting, that is a one-on-one engagement. So you're going to think about that as the ocean, okay? We all know the ocean, big, huge, massive body of water. Now, if you're trying to learn to swim, you're not gonna go jump into the ocean the very first time, right? You're gonna want to ease your way into it, and that's what you need to think about when you're trying to promote your business or your offer online. Not everybody is gonna jump right into the ocean, and most commonly, when people are starting out, that's the mistake they make, is they start talking about the ocean initially to those prospects. Well, what comes back from there? Well, we got a river. Okay, now river's not as scary as the ocean, but the current can be, you know, a little bit more fast-flowing. So again, still not the best way to jump into that. So you're going to take your big offer, your big promotion, let's say your, your one-on-one coaching or your program or your, you know, your big service, whatever it is, and you're going to take a chunk off of that and you're going to break it down. So in most professional businesses, that might be a course, a free trial, or something like that. Somewhere where somebody's going to pay to play or pay to get engaged with your business and get some kind of reward and some kind of benefit, or what we call a quick win. So consider your river as a chunk of the ocean, and that's going to be something that somebody can consume or buy and get a benefit from. Now, stepping back from that, you're going to get a stream. Okay, so a stream is where people are going to be able to just kind of tip to dip their toes in, test the water. These are where we really get into like the free trials, the free offers, the lead magnets, you know, the free courses, the coupons, things like that where no monetary value is exchanged, just a level of commitment like an email address or a phone number if you're doing texting these days. Now, if we look at this, we break down these waterways, your streams leading to the river, the rivers leading to the ocean, okay? So eventually they'll flow down the river to that bigger offer. But we have to absolutely not forget is we have people who are on the shorelines looking in. Those are the prospects. Those are the biggest numbers out there. And those are the people that you start to target with your YouTube, your Instagram, your LinkedIn ads, whatever platform that you're at, and you're putting out your information, you're putting out your content so that those viewers can see you, become engaged with you, understand who you are. Now they're gonna be on those shorelines of those banks and they're gonna be thinking about, you know what, how can I learn a bit more? Or maybe this offers something I wanna try out. And they're gonna dip their foot into that water, they're gonna feel the temperature, and maybe they're gonna be out there splashing around in that stream, consuming it, and they're going, you know what, this is pretty good, right? Maybe I wanna kinda go down the river next and engage a bit more, try the next thing in line, and that's how your offers need to be structured. So the easiest way to do that is to work backwards. Think of the biggest offer, and maybe it, you know, it's, you know, if you're a professional service provider or a coach or trainer, and it's, you know, it's, you know, you've got this core program that's 3 months. Well, what are the modules in that 3-month program, and can we break it out and make a standalone program from that? Yes, we can. Okay, let's chunk that and make that be a part of it. It might not be as in-depth, or it may not be as customized to the end user. A lot of times these courses you see online that you buy are very generalized, right? They're focused on trying to appeal to the masses where it's more of, of the concepts and the theories and the strategy. But when you work one-on-one with that person, then you can build out those strategies for their business. And that's where that high-end offer is. So you take that, you break it out into another subsection or another product, you put a price tag on it. People have to buy to get this. And then how do we promote that? Well, we take that, we say, what can we take from that to give a free offer? Maybe it's a sneak peek, maybe it's some worksheets, maybe it's a swipe file. Doesn't matter as long as there's something of value they could opt in for for free. So you have the permission then to talk about the next thing in line. And then once they take that step, than the next thing in line. Ultimately, you wanna have as many people swimming in your ocean as possible. So think about that. What is it that you can do and chunk up in your business to help market your online offer, right? How do we promote yourself and what you're trying to sell? Now, keeping in mind that not everybody is gonna be ready now to swim in the ocean, and there will be people who will never be ready to swim in your ocean. They may be just happy splashing around in the stream or just going to swim in the river that's okay. You need to be okay with that. So think about your business that way and structure your offers accordingly. So there we go. So I just did that little recording there in the camera, so I'll pull that out and I'll edit it, and I'm just gonna end the stream here, and I'm gonna check it back and see how it looks, how it sounds, as the ultimate test for my, my ATEM Mini Pro. So thanks for watching. If you are new to this channel, you're checking it out, please subscribe to it, help us get over 1,000. Really appreciate it.
