In this brief video newsletter teaser, Tyler Hayden of Team Bonding records a message from Port Lincoln, Australia, where he is about to cage‑dive with great white sharks. He uses the moment to preview the upcoming April newsletter, which will explore Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences—eight distinct ways people learn and process information. Hayden explains how the concept can be translated into practical team‑building tactics: identifying each intelligence type (e.g., interpersonal, logical‑mathematical, intrapersonal) and then tailoring reward, recognition, and energizing strategies to match those preferences. He promises to cover all eight intelligences in detail and hints that he may share shark‑diving footage if he returns safely.

Hi! Tyler Hayden here for Team Bonding and I'm in beautiful Port Lincoln, Australia, one of two places in the entire world that you can go cage diving with the apex predator, the great white shark. I'm heading there tomorrow so I thought, well, today I might do my video for the Team Bonding newsletter just in case I don't get back. Here's what we're talking about in April's newsletter. We're talking about multiple intelligences and how we can use that to better engage and energize our teams. Multiple intelligences is a theory designed by Howard Gardner, a Harvard University education professor, and he talks about 8 different multiple intelligences that help people to learn better. We've extrapolated that and moved it forward into how we engage our teams, how we take an interpersonal learner, somebody who works really well in a group atmosphere. How do we take that? How do we reward, recognize, and energize? Them. Look at mathematical, logical people, people who are numbers-oriented. How do we engage them more? How do we take an intrapersonal learner, that person who disengages a bit and thinks on their own before they begin to apply what it is that they've observed, more of those visionary type people? Anyway, there's 8 different of those multiple intelligences, and we're going to talk about each and every single one and how you can use it in your business to build a better team. I gotta go get ready to swim with the sharks. That's more of a psychological preparation. And at the end, if, if I do make it out alive, I'll show you some video. We'll talk to you later.
